Their sandwiches are excellent. I stop by and grab a sandwich sometimes when I don't pack a lunch…read morewith me to work. Rocky's Quality Meats is the perfect name for them because they do have quality meats. I've ordered their turkey and cranberry panini a couple times as well as the rueben and the tomato and pesto panini. They don't skimp on the quantity of meat in the sandwiches either. They are tucked inside the Santa Venetia market and are a separate business. You have to pay for whatever you ordered at the counter and not the front cashier. Besides their sandwiches they also offer homemade sides, various raw meats, sausages, frozen ravioli and they bbq ribs and chicken outside the market every Friday. The guys behind the counter are always fast and friendly. Be prepared for a long line during the lunch hour. It's worth the wait.

It's inside the market but it's own business (as I understand, partners with the SV Market). It's open Monday-Saturday and they offer top quality meats - from seafood, locally sourced free range chicken, beef and more. I love their homemade Chicken Apple Sausage while my wife prefers their spicy Italian Sausage. We have also enjoyed their sandwiches (beware around 12noon there is a line from folks working at the Marin Civic Center). Our favorite is their Reuben sandwich - with pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand island dressing then heated in a Panini press. And most every Friday Dante and team are out front smoking and barbecuing. Folks in the community know to come by for Chicken, Ribs, and Tri-tip. Friendly service, reasonable prices and high quality food can be found at Rocky's Quality Meats.

If you aren't keeping your eyes peeled for this spot, you might miss it. Angelo's actual store is…read morelocated inside a cute little cottage/barn off the road. This is a meat lover's paradise. The jerky was truly the highlight. The employee let us try all of the jerky samples (generous portions) we wanted, and talked about what kinds of flavors and textures would be best for our tastes. My favorites were the teriyaki turkey jerky and garlic beef jerky. Both varieties have a sweet, tender chew. No dried out jerky here. Make sure to check out the grab and go refrigerators opposite of the cash register. I made sure to grab a bag of smoked bacon ends/chunks which made an absolutely divine addition to my cherry tomato and Marin French Cheese angel hair pasta a few nights later.

If you get the chance to meet him, you'll understand why people talk about him like he's an icon. And the food... wow. The jerky is absolutely to die for. He even told us to stop back by before we headed home because he was making homemade focaccia. We came back, and he wasn't there, but he had the focaccia waiting for us anyway. That small gesture says everything about the kind of person he is. We left with jerky, his amazing garlic horseradish mustard, and summer sausage, and we already can't wait to come back. Next stop will definitely be his deli. Angelo is the real deal, kind, thoughtful, and unforgettable.

I've been here twice. First time I got a leg of lamb and more recently some double cut pork chops…read more I'm sure they are helpful if you ask questions but they were pretty busy both times I came in and it felt like you needed to know what you wanted for the most part. For the leg of lamb, I think most people get a whole leg of lamb. That was way too much for me and I think the butcher thought I was confused when I asked for less and asked me what I was doing with it. He ended up saying he could give me a half leg of lamb and I agreed. Thar was about 3 and a half pounds (bone included) which was the perfect amount. I seared it and then braised it and the meat fell off the bone. Delicious and the price was pretty good. I was cooking my first pork chop and decided to come here to get it. Their pork isn't labeled as Berkshire or Duroc or anything but that probably keeps the price down. For chops, they had boneless, bone in, and double cut (which was also bone in). I mentioned I wanted it to be about 2 inches thick and the butcher said to get the double cut.I got 2 beautiful thick pork chops for $6.99 a pound so about $18 total. The regular cut bone in pork chops were the same price though obviously smaller. I brined this overnight and reverse seared it and it was great. The chop was a loin chop- loin and then a tenderloin nugget- not a pure rib chop. Cooked really nicely and was tender which I think was partially the overnight brine and also their pork. They do sell some vegetables and grocery supplies if you want to just make a single stop. They also have a deli with some sandwiches that looked good and prepared foods. I was very focused on buying the things I came in for and getting on with my day both times but I would like to take a closer look in the future as it looked good. Solid butcher shop and clearly loved since it was busy both on a weekend and during the week. I'm sure I will be back.

My wife and I happened to be in Hercules yesterday (9/12/26) and we have always wanted to try…read moreKinders. We were not disappointed. Especially by the service we received. We were met with a line that wrapped around the interior, so we took that as a good sign. We spoke with the manager on duty, (I think his name was Ian?) who was communicating with everyone waiting. He seemed to be running the place. He apologized profusely for the wait time, but we didn't mind waiting. We could tell they looked short staffed. But, when we finally got to order he suggested getting either a ball tip sandwich or a 1,2, or 3 way plate. Both of us wanted an old fashioned BBQ plate and we went with his suggestion of the Ball tip, ribs, and the brisket. We got mac and cheese sides plus some extra potato salad, and let me tell you, this was some of the BEST bbq we've had. The ribs fell of the bone and were moist and tender. The ball tip (which we had never even heard of) was better than any tri-tip we've had. He trimmed the brisket for us so it wasn't very fatty and we got to experience the true brisket taste. He explained it was seasoned with their signature Tequila Lime seasoning and we couldnt have been happier. When we went to get a couple of boxes (we couldnt finish, it was very filling) he saw us waiting, remembered our names, and got us what we needed. He was very professional and personable and made us feel at home. 100% recommend this place to anyone newer to the bay area or, like us, just looking for a great BBQ experience! We will definitely be back!
