But the downstairs showers were perfectly fine, too. The rest is all positive: It was easy to be reached from lisbon airport (we took an uber, so it was even easier). The rooms are bright and newly furnished with IKEA beds and closets. There are three showers, two toilets and another two showers outside for a post-Surf shower. we were free to use the kitchen and barbecue. There is wi-fi that works great throughout the big house and you can rent surfboards too. There are two terraces on the first floor and a cosy terrace on the ground floor. Apart from the lovely place, the biggest yeah: it's only a three minute-walk to the beach! We didn't surf but a lot of people did and it was great watching, too. Wavespot is a great place to get-away and hang out!

Pool area was nice and they have a pool bar. There are two restaurants. One if a buffet, which is great for breakfast and solid for lunch. Recommend Horizante, the sit down restaurant on top of the hotel. Room was good sized and clean. You should pay extra and get the sea view rooms here. The other side isn't very scenic. I'd stay here again.

I stayed for one night and was upgraded for free, then came back a week later to finish my trip--and they upgraded me again. The rooms are stunning: spacious, beautifully designed, with a full closet and dresser for storage. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and every staff member I interacted with was incredibly kind and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Caparica. It's a beautiful place and perfectly located. Craving dessert? It's a 3-minute walk. Need new shoes? 2 minutes. Want to grab snacks from a grocery store? Just 1 minute away. You're truly at the center of everything. Honestly, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! Also the food/room service is delightful! Such delicious food and I can't tell you enough how like the workers are!

It was large enough to have all the amenities yet small enough to receive personal attention. The food was exceptional featuring local cuisine. I tried the salmon tartar and the venison on a bed of risotto. The venison was tender and cooked to perfection. It is hot during the day but cools off at night. I slept with the window open which I can't do in the city. I would return but I would be prepared for cooler evenings.

It cost € 254.70 for a double room with a sea view, and breakfast was included in the room rate. PROS: - Hotel is nice and modern. - Friendly staff that speaks English. - Location is right on the beach. You can hear the waves from the room. Totally worth it to upgrade to a sea view room. - Hotel gives you fresh towels to use at the beach or for the pool. - Has both wet and dry saunas (a bit small though, can only fit 2-4 people). - Breakfast has cinnamon sticks with sugar on the tables, so you can put them in your coffee and/or tea. - Large variety of hot and cold foods at breakfast. Plenty of fresh fruit. - Free wi-fi in the room. CONS: - Swimming pool is not so nice. You cannot see the ocean from the pool. - Jacuzzi temperature is cold. Not heated enough in early June to use comfortably. - Shower only has a half-wall, so water gets all over the floor when you shower.

In general though, it's your basic budget hotel with no frills/ dated decor. We came in April (off season) and paid under a hundred euro for the night(!) but were told on check in that the pool was not available (the concierge indicated they told our "travel agent" - do those still exist? We booked directly..) as it is a cooler time of year we had looked forward to using the pool which is indoor, but settled for the hot tub. This was a "luke warm tub" at best, but we did enjoy the view of the sea immensely. The fan in the room sounded like you were on the uphill of a roller coaster but again, due to cooler weather we didn't have a problem.

The prices reflected it being a beach restaurant but the food met/exceeded our expectations and the service really sealed the deal with professional yet personable staff. We had such a great meal that we came back for dinner on our last night too! I had their lobster caesar salad (not a very Portugese choice but still) and it was great with good portions, quality cheese, and plated beautifully. The couvert was also a great selection (though beware it comes with a small cost). We enjoyed a drink from their bar which was pretty and this was a great spot to watch a shoreside sunset. Highly recommend for a splurge!
