Long review but important to share. The center diamond in my engagement ring was loose so I took it to Casa d Oro for repair. They told me the prongs holding the diamond were bad and gave me a cost of $330 to repair it. Ten days after getting it back from repairs I looked down and noticed the stone that had been repaired to stay in the ring was no longer in the ring. I searched everywhere but it was gone forever. Rezza accepted no blame. Instead, he said it was an accident and somehow I pushed the stone out of the new mounting. I've been wearing the ring for over 30 years and don't recall ever doing anything that would result in dislodging a diamond mounted in a ring, let alone in the past 10 days! And right after being repaired! But Rezza stuck to his story and his culpability was nil. He did offer to show me some diamonds at cost, but nothing he showed me aligned with my wants and one didn't even have a GIA certificate but instead had the less desirable, inferior European Gemological Laboratory (EGL) certificate. Plus, he was going to charge me another $380 to mount the new diamond (on top of what I just paid for the repairs) and that didn't sit well with me. I purchased a diamond elsewhere. When I took my newly purchased stone to another local jeweler to mount into the ring it was fairly obvious to them that whoever repaired my prongs did not sauder them correctly and skipped the final heating step necessary to harden the materials. If not done (or forgotten?), the material would be so brittle any tiny bump would make it crumble, as I was told by the jeweler. Nice people work in the store but I would never recommend them simply because the refusal of taking ownership of faulty work. If you are wanting to partner with someone you trust this is not your store. That dishonesty, coupled with unwillingness to accept any blame or responsibility, is enough deterrent for me to ever do business with them again. I went in for a $300 repair and it cost me over $6000. read more

Worst jeweler ever. Do not spend your money at this establishment. I took my wedding band and engagement ring to be soldered together. In doing so, they busted my engagement ring setting. I paid for the repair but didn't realize the damage until later. I took the ring back. Reza talked down to me and denied that they did the damage. It is irreparable and now I need to turn into the insurance company for a complete replacement. I see other reviews on this site that have had a similar experience. Reza is dishonest, please do not trust them with your jewelry and do not give them your business. read more

If you want to go to a corporate Jeweler because you think you think Casa is going to be overpriced you are gravely mistaken. Firstly, you shouldn't be using yelp to choose a jeweler. Secondly, family owned Jewelers build themselves on honesty and returning clientele. So there may be a reason they have been around for a long time. Nobody more trustworthy and honest than Reza. Three friend's of mine have bought engagement rings from Casa and had nothing but praise for the informational and familial walk through of what they were buying, what quality and to their budget. I'd go here 10 times out of 10 and twice on Sunday for any jewelry or watch needs. This is the only jewelry store I would ever trust to make purchases -- the staff is as quality as it gets, extremely knowledgeable, kind and courteous, interested in your specifics, and the customer service is impeccable. Casa D'Oro also has the best inventory! I love the lines they carry and know they have the classiest pieces that will look timeless for years to come. And lastly, I have to mention the owner. Reza knows jewelry. Would no longer recommend. We have dealt with this jeweler over the years, but the quality of their work more recently is poor. I had a ring in which the pearl had to be restored to the setting and had actually provided the original pearl to be replaced. What I got back was a far inferior gray pearl and a poor set. I was shocked and when asked for an explanation they indicated that the jeweler probably (?) got glue on it and had to substitute. When I requested a replacement of similar quality they provided two sets of equally inferior grayish tint pearls. They are either totally incompetent in their work or corrupt. Although they offered to try a third time I lost confidence in their ability to get it right and did not want to leave my ring with them any longer. For those of you looking for expensive jewelry, DO NOT go to Casa D'oro in the Sheraton in Cranberry!!! I have been there three times now to get my engagement ring appraised, and all three are wrong. They cannot get simple things right, such as the number of stones in a ring. If they cannot get that right, then how can you trust that they get more important things right. In addition to the three appraisals, the sales woman who helped my fiancee, Sandy Ruse (who also happens to be the vice president) is very condescending and unhelpful. She talked down to me, when I was understandably upset that I have had to go there three times already, acting as if this happened all of the time, which might tell you something. read more
