We got back from the beach late and were looking for something quick, so I remembered hearing about Chinese food in Puerto Rico and suggested Sky China. Yes, the area is a little sketchy, but don't worry -- you're fine. Once you get there, just know what you want because they are ready to take your order the second you walk up. You can look at the menu, but don't take too long! The service wasn't exactly warm and friendly, but it was late, and honestly, all I cared about was whether the food was good.
The menu can be a little confusing, so I definitely recommend doing some research before you go. We were starving, and as usual, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs.
My husband and I ordered fried rice, lo mein, and decided to add some wings because we thought we were getting a small order. Boy, were we wrong! What we got was a huge box filled with pieces of fried chicken and French fries. I really wish I had taken a picture because the portion was massive. That alone could have easily fed both of us.
Needless to say, we packed up a good portion and took it back to the hotel.
The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and now I understand why Chinese food in Puerto Rico gets so much hype. This was definitely one social-media recommendation that delivered!
