As we were trying to figure out where to park, we got scolded by the apartment residents next to the hotel, which was not a great start to the stay. You can park in the few designated hotel spots in the front or you can park on the nearby streets and walk over. We were greeted with a cold welcome beverage which was nice! Our room was pretty standard, and they had a nice note and chocolate strawberries waiting for us to celebrate the special occasion which was very sweet. The room also had games and a record player; however, I would recommend not using your own records on it as it was not in good shape. There was a mini fridge in our room as well. The free breakfast in the morning was probably the best part. It was delicious! Specifically the toast....I still think about it even now. The girls are so nice as well. We did not get coffee delivered to our door any day during our stay, which was a little disappointing. I do like the option to rent bikes. The pool was pretty standard, but it did have a lot of leaves in it. Overall it was a nice stay! Appreciate the hotel staff for being so kind.

They built 360 homes with post and beam construction, all with the same floor plans and 1225 square feet, although the soaring ceilings and clerestory windows made them more spacious. It was like a door into that time period, as the furnishings seemed to be authentic to the midcentury modern style, yet included all the modern amenities as well as a pool and hot tub. It felt like we were on the set of Mad Men or more recently, Don't Worry, Darling. This little neighborhood has been preserved in time, although it is close to downtown Palm Springs, the airport and the highway. For a few days it was fun to live in this time capsule. The agent met us there, showed us how to work the alarm and other instructions and was immediately available when we had a problem with the key system.

Also, one thing that I really appreciated was my husband and I realize we left his backpack and the owner after calling him immediately ran over picked it up for us and held it for us. Unlike big hotels which would've made us leave a message to Lost and Found. This show shows you that you get a little extra great service. Definitely will stay here again.

They were unintrusive, yet always on the premises if a guest needed anything. Under their care and ownership, The Hideaway was was given a Class 1 Historic Site designation in Palm Springs, and it well deserved it. Their hearts were in this place. The communal kitchen was open to all and from it, a light morning breakfast of fresh brewed coffee, teas, fresh fruit and fruit juices, yogurt, and toast and english muffins were offered. This was served in the adjoining lounge area which was open all day for guests to enjoy. (Pictures still remain on this website.) It was a great venue to meet and chat with other guests if that's what you felt like doing. (I imagine Covid shut this down, but they never brought it back.) The well-maintained bikes they had on the property were designated for guest use. We had a blast many mornings riding around Palm Springs seeing sites one would be inclined to miss driving by in a car. In the afternoons, as guests swam and lounged poolside and sipped whatever they were drinking, this kind of breezy, light 50's/60's martini lounge music played, adding to the whole mid-century vibe. This place was absolutely amazing. We were sad when the owners sold, but hopeful that new management would take the same care of this historic property and its guests, but it is now an entirely different experience. Gone are these amenities, as is the care and the heart that went into running this place. It looks and feels like if a dime can be saved by providing the minimum, it is. (To be fair, there are coffee pods and Kirkland breakfast bars in every room). Staff is rarely around; during our last stay, we had to repeatedly call someone to get the pool cleaned and cleaned the pool ourselves several times. Stuff is broken or torn and neither fixed nor replaced. After coming here annually for well over a dozen years, we were spoiled by what was. It's a shame and a disappointment that the care and attention that went into our amazing experiences at the Hideaway are gone. This Historic Site in Palm Springs deserves better and so do its guests.

On June 12 I got a charge for $330 from THE WEEKEND 111 S. Via Las Palmas in Palm Springs - VERY MUCH THE HOTEL ADDRESS - as you can see here. I thought nothing of it and figured it was maybe a deposit and they would apply it to my hotel Stay in August. WRONG! Looking through my CC charges I see it's still there. So I'm being charged $330 more than what I agreed to. I have gone back and forth with the hotel who has told me multiple times it wasn't them and that I need to speak to Expedia. The charge clearly states the name of the hotel and the address of the hotel on it. I've spoken to Expedia who has also exclaimed that they did not charge me a dime just as was agreed to when I booked through their website. I'm not saying The Weekend is being shady ... but maybe check your CC if you've booked here. I HAVE A FEELING THEY'VE DONE THIS A LOT! I have called my CC company to dispute the charge and have to wait 7 days. Unfortunately, the hotel is beautiful, but their accounting sucks and it's ruined my view on this "boutique hotel" and its policies. OH AND ANOTHER THING! The hotel didn't have hot water at all in our room. They had a plumber come to "fix it" immediately .... And the plumber left without fixing it while we were at dinner and the hotel texted me to say "it's been fixed" ... Palm Springs is hot AF in the summer, but having ice cold water to shower in at a boutique hotel is not fun. Im giving this hotel two stars because it is cute and it's a vibe. General hotel layout was nice, felt vintage and was a refreshing twist. Room layout was interesting, tv was placed in front of the couch so you can't watch tv in bed. When first entering our room: 1. The two ceilings lights either flickered or did not turn on at all. The room was pitch black until we PLUGGED IN the closet lamp. 2. The bathtub was not clean, there were hairs. Bathtub was paint was chipped and the faucet was leaking as well. 3. The kitchen utensils were not clean. Forks, glasses and even the roll of paper towels were found dirty or used. The extra rolls under the sink were unwrapped. When coming to our room a few hours after check in, calling customer service (calling three times) took more than an hour, just for us to be told that the lighting and cleanliness issues will be solved in the morning. Was really looking forward to the experience but upon our first few hours, we felt unwelcome, uncomfortable and turned off of our whole stay. Especially when faced with the lack of cleanliness in the restroom, if our bathtub could be so apparently dirty, what else could they have missed? We were forced to spend the first few hours fixing up our room before starting to feel comfortable. This meant scrubbing the bathtub, washing every dish and checking every surface. With the lengthy and detailed check in process, we were really expecting a quality, travel worthy experience. Instead, it felt we were greeted with an unclean, uncomfortable welcome. As guests, it was made obvious to us that customer service was not at the forefront of our experience. Having decentralized customer service (through phone numbers and apps) made us feel so unattached from the actual experience.

The salt water pool is so inviting, the grounds include beautiful old palm trees, tropical flowers, green lawns, water fountains, lemon trees. There are so many little hidden sitting areas to just spend time relaxing. The birds were singing, it was a little slice of heaven with a lot of history. Located near downtown Palm Springs with wonderful restaurants and shops. The owner Joe Pulisi is very friendly and accommodating. I cried when we had to leave, but we plan to return for sure.

So peaceful, amazing customer service by all staff that we interacted with. The suite was very aesthetically decorated and the deep, jet tub was amazing. It's within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops without being in the middle of noise from the Main Street. We were pleasantly surprised with the break room area. Has a candy station and the breakfast box in the mornings is great. At check in we were welcomed with a voucher for champagne . Andrea's Hotel definitely lives up to the standards of a quiet boutique hotel. We are definitely looking forward to our next stay and highly recommend it to our family and friends.

**Beautiful Hotel, Terrible Guest Experience**…read more We were really disappointed with our stay. The location is excellent, and the hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. Almost every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, one person managed to completely overshadow all of that: Karl. Karl seemed determined to micromanage our entire experience, particularly around the pool. No outside food or beverages. No floaties in the pool. And, apparently, guests are not allowed to move the umbrellas--even when the temperature is 112 degrees and you're simply trying to create some shade. During the off-season, when the pool area was far from crowded, it was especially difficult to understand why the umbrellas were apparently there for decoration rather than shade. Karl would literally come out of his office if he saw you holding food or a drink while walking through the pool area. At one point, we were leaving to go to dinner with an unopened bottle of wine in our possession. We stopped briefly to talk to friends who were still in the pool, and Karl came out of his office to tell us we had to leave the pool area. When we questioned the reasoning, his response was essentially a grin, a shrug, and repeated variations of "That's the rules." To be clear, the rules themselves are not the problem. Hotels are entitled to have rules, and guests should respect reasonable policies. The problem was HOW Karl chose to enforce them. His constant monitoring and condescending manner made us feel less like paying guests and more like children being watched for misbehavior. A beautiful hotel with a great location and otherwise wonderful staff should be a place where guests feel welcome. Instead, our experience was overshadowed by one manager who seemed far more interested in enforcing every minor rule than in making guests feel comfortable. Fortunately, there are plenty of other hotels in Palm Springs. Based on this experience, we will never stay here again. Apparently, Karl doesn't believe in repeat customers.
