I could tell that every dish was cooked with love. I ordered the langos, which is this fried flatbread covered in gooey sour cream and cheese and the beef goulash, which is this beef stew accompanied with carrots and potatoes in a spicy paprika soup. The langos complemented my beef goulash really well, and offset the paprika and spice perfectly. The creaminess cut through the spicy paprika stew, which was so fragrant and joyous. I could tell that the stew was slow cooked because the beef, carrots and potatoes just fell apart when I bit into them. Overall, this place was a great find and is a great sit down restaurant. The ambiance is super charming and the food is homey and authentic. Definitely returning.

It's off the tourist drag in a dingy, nondescript alley like street, definitely not a place that's trying too hard. That night we had the best meal of the trip. Since then I've been back at least 8 times. On every trip to Barcelona. Sometimes twice. With large groups and small. The service is always warm, accommodating and probably the most attentive I've had (for the moderates price) in Spain.
