I've used Bergholz's twice within the last 9 months after first getting 3 other qoutes from other companies first. Bergholz's always came in as the cheapest, and the best. They can do anything anything tree related, they bring in the right equipment, the right people and get jobs that I would have thought would take hours done in a quarter of the time. And what they quote at first is what they invoice you for.

When the crew left, my driveway had sustained damage that was not there before they arrived. There is a burned section where the asphalt has been damaged down to the underlying stone, along with three large fluid stains that appear to be oil or another automotive fluid. I have security camera footage showing the condition of my driveway before the crew arrived and after they left. I immediately attempted to contact the company to report the damage and request that someone contact me regarding repairs. When I was unable to reach anyone, I documented the damage with the New Jersey State Police, who advised that the matter appears to be civil in nature and generated a property damage report. What concerns me most isn't just the damage itself--equipment can fail and accidents happen. It's how the situation has been handled. Property damage should be acknowledged promptly, and customers and neighboring property owners deserve communication and accountability. If you are considering using this company, I strongly recommend discussing in advance how they will protect driveways and other surfaces from heavy equipment and what their process is if damage occurs. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.
