This was the worst car dealership experience I've ever had. Don't trust these people - they're selling faulty cars. I visited the dealership on 28/04/25 and found an Audi A4 I liked. After being assured the car had been thoroughly inspected, both mechanically and electrically, I paid a £99 deposit, trusting their word. I did notice some scratches, but when I pointed them out, they said they couldn't do anything about it, which I accepted. However, when I returned for the car's delivery, I found the windscreen was cracked. Despite this, they insisted that this is how the car would be delivered, even though it's a £16,900 car. They pressured me to complete the payment and take the car, but I refused, saying I wanted my mechanic to inspect it first. When my mechanic arrived with an OBD scanner, he found the car had numerous serious issues. If I had taken the car as they pushed me to, I would have been in big trouble. The staff became extremely rude, including the manager, and brushed off my concerns, essentially telling me to "do whatever you want." I canceled the car and requested my deposit back. They claimed it was processed on 01/05/25, but as of today, 09/05/25, I still haven't received it. When I called today, they said it was only processed yesterday, which is a clear read more

Never ever go to these people con merchants from start to finish. They sell cars that are not going to last the attitude of some members of staff is unbelievable. I paid for an 18 plate car 2 short months later while driving down a busy road the steering rack failed so I went back to the showroom was met with well that's nothing to do with us but after making sure all in the showroom where made aware of my frustration it was decided that I could go to there repair centre. 2 months after the cars return another major fault this time total transmission failure and after a trip to a ford garage for an inspection I was met with a long list of faults that had come with the car Again another rant in the showroom and again nothing to to with us (also as I said you lot are untrustworthy a arrogant member of staff well that's your opinion) it was another call to the service Department. The service Department manager has decided nothing we can do so unfortunately it looks like battle will commence to get theses cowboys out in the open and exposed as the fraudsters they are . So if you do go to car world you will be putting your cash and health at risk so be warned. read more

AVOID! Absolutely avoid this place, we are one of the lucky ones who did not part with our money. We went to view a Silver Range Rover Evoque number plate SG16EHL in the Boongate branch 29th June 2024 at first staff very friendly especially our sales man Kevin. Me, my husband and daughter had two test drives in this vehicle and was very happy with the look of the car inside and out for the age of the car it has been looked after very well. However, a warning light for bonnet open alerted along with battery light, popped out bit of plastic on the wheel arch and when we stopped on a quite road on the test drive, we noted a rattle my husband looked under the car to find the flexi had worn and frayed. When we got back to the garage, we was happy to purchase the car however with Kevin we listed everything that needed doing, Kevin agreed that the battery would be charged so no light would be shown, the bonnet open alert would be sorted as this could be due to a sensor, new clips on the plastic to keep the arch in and that the flexi would be fixed. We arranged to come and collect the car on the 10th July 2024 giving the garage 11 days to fix all of the listed problems we paid a £500 deposit and the rest of the remaining balance was due to be paid on collection. Me and my husband arrived on the 10th to see what we thought was our shiny Silver Range Rover sat in the garage, Kevin greeted us and gave us the keys to go and check over the car to make sure we were happy. Me and my husband went to the car first thing we noticed was the plastic of the wheel arch popping out not fixed, started the car alerted battery low light, alert for bonnet open and shock my husband got under the car to see that the flexi was still frayed. Over a 11-day period what these absolute conartistist had done is give the Range Rover a 10/10 clean and naff all else. When we went back inside as you can imagine we were both angry and frustrated that nothing had been done and yet CARWORLD clearly thought that this was ok and expected us to part with 13.5k hard earned cash to them. After telling Kevin he was also annoyed and went back and forth to the technicians who then said they would sort all of the above out however this would take another week, I had sold my car privately the night before so had no car and they were unable to provide me with a car in this period. Me and my husband asked for our deposit back due to the utter lack of respect for customers. IMAGINE what they would be like regarding warranty or a fault on the vehicle after sales if this is what they was like on the day of us doing a bank transfer with them. I have done this review not to be a Karen but to ensure that hardworking honest people do not end up out of pocket due to been sold faulty cars. There is a reason they have sold over 70k cars like they claim, it is due to quantity not quality. You end up been a quick buck to them, this was a near escape for me and my husband please be careful. Kind Regards, From a proud owner of a new Range Rover from and appointment only garage who cares about there reputation and customers x ALSO I am not from the US unsure why YELP has put that I live local to Peterbough. read more

Looking for a later Mercedes S Class, after rejecting first two because of high pressure sales and poor condition. Next on my list was Carworld Supermarket at Peterborough. After a non-pressured approach which allowed me 30 minutes to look over the car, and a price negation I bought the car from them. I asked for a wheel balance on front (they balance all 4) and completed their pre-delivery and I collected the car which despite 82,000 miles performed like new. After a few weeks the radio lost sound occasionally and then worked OK. Like most used warranties the Audio was excluded. I contacted Mercedes and a Merc specialist neither of which had a clue, so I thought that was that. I thought I would contact Carworld expecting the "Sorry we can't help". To my surprise the aftersales man said he thought as I don't use the car every day and then for only small journeys the battery might not be completely charged, could I do a good run and see if OK. Did that, radio worked for 30 miles then had no sound. Carworld after sales said can you bring it in which I did. After 3 hours work they had checked everything which was all OK. They then replaced the battery with a new expensive battery free off charge which cured the problem completely. WOW Until I retired 10 years ago I owned several garages and that level of service is exceptional. Salesmen get the customer - aftersales keep them! Well done Carworld keep it up! I have no connection with the company, no inducement to write this, if your looking for a deal and aftersales backup try them first. read more

STAY WELL AWAY Your part ex will be worthless here and they are good at taking it off you, the cars they sell all have major defects from ripped seats to engine faults, some cars are unsafe for road use and have been MOT passed by an idiot or mate ready to lose his licence. Any cars that are totally on their last legs i.e. scrap, are pushed to Direct Cars, so don't buy from their either. You will find that the 3 month warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on and doesn't cover anything a normal person would expect it to. Additionally if you live far away you will have a major problem as they want you to to bring the vehicle back to their service centre (if you can call it that). The service centre are a bunch of Interns from the local collage having a go, so expect your vehicle back in several times before they realise how a seat belt tensioner works. Good sales people here who will rope you into anything, but once you have signed just think of it as losing your money. If you still feel that they offer a good service and value for money I would recommend an AA/RAC check before you make any payments. Worth the expense as they don't actually refund deposits once paid, try giving them a deposit and asking for it, the answer will be, if a car is defective we will fix it but no refund. Worst experience ever, the time, cost and hassle of dealing with Car World has meant that I could have gone to a local main dealer and purchased a used car from them at a premium and still managed to get a full tank. Can't stress it enough STAY WELL AWAY you wont find any notion of a multi check here. Good luck read more

These guys are doing it right! I brought the car and was very happy with the purchase, I got it for a good price and it drove really well. Unfortunately a couple of months down the line it starts having some problems so I call them up to find out what they can do about it. I expected them to be a bit useless if I'm honest but they surprised me; they took the car in and got fixed with no hassle whatsoever. I will without a doubt be coming back here when I trade this one in. read more

When you're deciding upon whether to review a company as "good" or "bad" it will mainly depend on two things. Firstly, the service the Customer (you) receive when purchasing an item. Secondly, how that particular company reacts when things do not go as agreed. In the first example, you may buy an item and it would be exactly how it was described and be delivered in the condition you expected and paid for. This would naturally render the Customer to say that this company was/is "good". However surely it's the second example that should really define how "good" a company actually is and hold a greater weighting on any analysis. It's the time(s) when things go "wrong". Of course, you can argue that things may go wrong or be delayed due to circumstances outside of the two parties' control; and that's fine, but surely it's a moral obligation to be forthright with such information immediately and not just remain silent? How can a Customer make a decision without all the relevant facts from the outset? This is clearly immoral, unfair and leans toward coercing by turning a potentially negative outcome (lack of sale) to get a favourable outcome (a sale) by subtle changes in implied terms and conditions. But again, surely it is the company's immediate response and actions to such circumstances which determines whether they should be adequately praised or badly reviewed. However what about the situation when a Customer has made a legitimate purchase in good faith? Where they've asked all the necessary questions and carried out visual inspections and expect an open, honest and fair interaction from a seller? What happens, when you find after delivery has occurred, that it turns out that the seller is at fault and the seller hasn't delivered what was agreed (with you). What about a company that provides such a poor standard of service, attitude, accountability, redress and care to its customers, and do very little in the hope that nobody notices (or has the inclination to care/do something about it). What happens when you are presented with companies that misrepresent in these situations? Well as you would expect, ultimately it is the Customer who suffers and it's the organisations who continue to trade unethically. Don't just take my word for it, look at the other reviews. This is a truly deplorable organisation. Surely a company and Customer should trade fairly and respectfully? Is that to much to ask? It is therefore worth reiterating that when making a purchase... a) always be fully aware, b) get any verbal agreements in writing (signed and dated with witnesses), c) thoroughly inspect and review your item prior to handing over any payment, d) know the UK contract law and ask as many questions as you need to and e) always read the terms and conditions (small print) thoroughly before you sign anything. You may find something alarming. Taking these precautions may go some way to ensuring you get treated fairly as it's clear that you can't trust certain organisations. read more

Slightly over priced cars but their outstanding sale and finance teams make the whole process smooth and worth visiting. If you are thinking of buying a used car with finance then i cant recommend more than carworld dealership. If you are buying on cash than i suggest you compare their price with few others like CarShop. read more
