A MUST TRY! I grew up going to Carvel all the time when I lived up North, so when I moved down here, I was disappointed that there weren't any locations nearby. After waiting for years, my family and I were so excited to hear that a Carvel was finally opening near us. I'm happy to say it's just as amazing as I remembered! The ice cream and soft serve are absolutely delicious, and there's nothing else quite like them. It's hard not to get addicted! Excellent Soft Serve options!! On this day, Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Oreo, Pistachio or Mint. It's an incredible mix of soft serve flavors and NOBODY else in this area for miles has this many Soft Serve options. The staff is young, friendly and working to keep the tables clean. Great spot for a treat at a reasonable price. Milkshakes too. Also 4 freezers filled with Carvel ice cream cakes with adorable designs too. Totally a fun dessert. read more

The wait is over! I went to the official Grand Opening Day at the store looked great and was well stocked with all kinds of fresh iced confections. The owner, Bobby, was present shaking hands and welcoming everyone into the store. I was impressed with the interior of the store, menu, the new additions, and the variety of frozen treats (which in my excitement and haste forgot to photograph). My daughter had her first ever twist Carvel soft serve cone and really enjoyed it! It was creamy and decadent without being overly sweet and she was a big fan of the cone. The ice cream was the real deal dairy and not some chemically-tasting product you might find at other outlets. She really seemed to enjoy the vanilla flavor and said she'd get that again next time. The variety of toppings were a hit with her, she has a difficult time selecting but ultimately chose Kit Kat (not a commonly found topping at ice cream places) which she adored! I was impressed there was an array of soft serve flavors in addition to chocolate and vanilla such as strawberry, pistachio and I believe some citrus flavors. I should've taken a picture but I was caught up in the opening day bustle! There were a variety of hard packed ice creams as well. There were also menu features such as the Carvelanche and the Sundae Dashers which we want to try next. It was fun to share the nostalgia of Carvel with her, as I had one in my hometown growing up in Massachusetts. The opening days' decorations were awesome! The ice cream cones with sprinkles and a cherry were stunning and impressive. It looked fantastic! Everyone in the store was cordial and helpful and we received great service. Awesome job with everything! We look forward to returning! My husband and I visited here on a hot Monday afternoon. We were greeted when we walked in. It is such a cute little ice cream store. I loved all the choices and toppings they had available. We signed up for their rewards program and got a BOGO sundae reward, which was a great deal! I got cookie dough ice cream with cookie dough toppings, and my husband got s'mores ice cream with Reese's cups. Both were very delicious. I would definitely recommend coming here to try their items! read more

Hubs and I visited on Tuesday night. This play was busy! Good to see! A line almost to the door. The crew was working to complete online and in person orders. We each had a soft serve sundae. I promised myself I'd take a pic before I dug in but that obviously didn't happen. My only negatives would be that there's not much seating. And the syrups. My caramel was very liquidy and my husband's hot fudge tasted like chocolate flavored goo. They might be just flavored corn syrup. I worked in an ice cream restaurant for 10 years and can promise that customers would prefer genuine ingredients even if they had to pay a bit more. But overall, great place! read more

I've been in twice since they've opened, and impressed both times. Lots of teenagers working, but all of them have been amazingly friendly, super nice, and hard-working. It's clear that they are still figuring things out, but everybody is erring on the side of doing too much as opposed to too little. Serving sizes are all huge, they are not stingy toppings, and everyone going out of their way too make it a great experience. Nice to have another great ice cream option down here in South Sarasota / Palmer Ranch! read more
