You are not just a customer. He really gets to know you, your likes and dislikes, that he supercedes an SA to client relationship. I was given a gift for finishing chemotherapy and the meaning was taken away after coming face to face with this poor excuse of a human being. She accused me of wearing the bracelet and wouldn't "touch that" eluding that the bracelet was not legitimate. I don't want to mention any names; but know if you go to this branch of Cartier, you will be lied to by salespeople who's phony-ness seeps through their forced smile. After thoroughly researching online for the wedding bands my partner and I wanted; we decided to go into the store in person to try them on. The person assigned to help us was, from the start, extremely phony. Faking laughs when no jokes were made. Trying SO hard to try and tell us what they thought we wanted to hear. This person lied to us about so many things. We know the difference between white gold and platinum especially since we had come in after doing this kind of research. They blatantly lied in order to try and make the sale. They also lied about the collection the ring was in. They tried to convince us we were buying a ring from the trinity collection when in fact the ring was a vendome. We didn't make the salesperson feel bad about the service they gave us, but we left feeling sick to our stomach. This person waved the cheapest candy and snacks to us and took us to a VIP room that was A JOKE compared to other luxury retailer's VIP rooms. It was an overall insulting experience. Maybe they saw our ages or my skin color and made a judgment about our knowledge and wealth base, but that's a rookie mistake. I have never bought from cartier and now I never will. read more

Disappointed that this location will not change the cord on my trinity bracelet which finally broke off and I'm lucky that I didn't lose the gold rings! We also have their wedding bands and a watch so it's not like the only business we gave them was the bracelet. The security guard keeps the door locked and you can only be admitted with an appointment. Maybe they're concerned about the push in robberies you see on the news?! However, they do not change the cords AT ALL anymore so they said I'd have to go into the NYC store to get that done. I guess they forgot about the free cord changes for life!! We're 2+ years into the pandemic but they're not changing this policy. At one point they handed me cords and an instruction booklet. I guess I'm on my own. After speaking with a variety of high level and very nice Cartier and LJ employees the result has remained the same as it was on day one. My current and future business has zero impact and clearly no value to them, their organization or their core values. Here is the best part. The quote to 'rebuild' the bracelet for basically the same cost as buying a new one has proven to be an absolute abuse of my intelligence. I brought the bracelet to a family jeweler and within a week they have repaired it to what I would consider better than new - for $40. They have also guaranteed the repair against any defect for one year. What can I say. Cartier and London Jewlwrs could care less about my business, my time, and my future value as a customer. I know that losing me as a customer will not have any impact on their business but I can assure you that all of my friends, family and beyond will be shocked and mortified to hear how awful of an experience I have been a part of. What should have been an epic and world class experience could not have been more poorly executed. Perhaps if I spent over some dollar threshold I would receive some level of customer service that was even close to acceptable. I brought in a bracelet for repair that was purchased directly from them, albeit on the lower end of their line but not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Their option -to repair as opposed to replace an item as their repair person Rachel stated 'I see this all the time' is truly an insult. Their resolution to pay basically the retail cost of the bracelet to have it remade which will take approximately 20 weeks. I have reached out to their 'Ambassadors' and regional managers without a response. I have the rest of my life to spend money on jewelry and I can assure you that without a question of a doubt, another dollar will not go to support their lack luster brand our sub par customer service. Just as a follow up.....there will be much more to come...however their idea of resolution is most certainly not in favor of the customer. As stated previously (no reflection on their team members) do yourself a favor avoid Cartier. On a personal level to find out that London Jewelers is affiliated with this location infuriates me even further. Having spent significant money in their Glen Cove location (being a long time gc resident) and my wife having a previous friendship with the owners daughter - I can assure you that brand loyalty and continued patronage has zero value. Got "pretty woman'd" hard! Didn't realize appointments were necessary, so I went, knowing exactly what I wanted to buy. I'm also fully vaccinated and had a mask with me. Door guy was incredibly rude, when I explained I didn't know appointments were necessary. There were no customers in the store, so I mentioned that I knew exactly what I wanted, and it would only take 5 minutes for me to conclude my business, and the door guy still turned me away and told me to call for an appointment. I called the store immediately, and was on hold for 12 minutes before speaking to someone.... and remember, there were no other customers visible. Guy was straight up rude... assuming it was because I was wearing shorts and a t shirt. Guess they only want large sums of money from people rocking Gucci suits? read more

My mother in law wanted to try in the Cartier Love Bangle in pink gold for sizing. She is 82 years old and this is a gift from her husband. Instead of obliging, they refused to let her try on. Horrible location. I have personally visited many other Cartier boutiques where you recieve excellent customer service from the Sales Associates as you should from such a high end boutique. First of all they only allow you in with an appointment. They don't even have the option to wait for someone to be available like the Mansion store does in Manhattan. Also as mentioned in other reviews here they do not answer the phone. I literally tried to make an appointment calling at various times during the day and could not reach someone. In addition I tried calling London Jewlers who is supposedly partnered with this location and the woman there tried "calling over for me to get a hold of someone". London Jewlers should be embarrassed to have its name attached to this boutique. Finally, when I eventually was able to make an appointment for a repair I asked the SA if I could try a love bracelet on for sizing. She asked me if I would be purchasing that day.. when I told her I wasn't sure yet she only allowed me to measure my wrist for the bracelet and not try the actual piece on. I would not recommend this boutique. They do not value you as a customer. Give your business to another boutique. read more

3/14/2021 Yesterday I went to purchase a panther ring and love bracelet for my wife's 50th birthday only to be told by an underage child in a suit that I could not come in without an appointment..He was condescending and rude and closed the door in my face saying that I needed to call the number and make an appointment. Meanwhile, the store was empty and people were just standing around doing nothing. So I called the store and no one would answer. It's beyond me why we came to this location to make a big purchase, but I still regret it post a few years. We came pretty much knowing what we wanted and a sales women approached us to help, all I know about this women was that she spoke and was Russian and that she mentioned that she had a Japanese husband. While she was nice and showed us the things we wanted to look at ... when it came time to making a purchase she never offered use any accommodations. NONE. Not even a glass of water. Now that we were sitting across from her at her desk suddenly she was a rush, suddenly it felt unpleasant and rude and dismissive. (The store was empty at this time with 3-5 other employees walking around) But in addition to the horrible customer service we had, within the next year I had to take the item to get serviced three times (to a different location) because it was/is having issues, and no one is able to explain what is wrong or why we are experiencing these problems. While the other Cartier locations have been very nice I still cannot get the bitter taste out after the initial experience of making my purchase. While it goes without saying that I would never consider returning here, I want to warn others about shopping at this location. If you want to feel the luxury of Cartier make a trip to the city instead.. it's well worth it. read more

Also, I had called 3 days in advance to set up an appointment and asked to put a certain necklace on hold for when I came. They told me they had it and would put it on hold, but when I got there, they told me they didn't even have the necklace in the store! Waste of time driving there. They would have to order it for me, and if I didn't like it, it was exchange only, no refunds. Don't even waste your time here. This place gives Cartier a bad reputation. I have a silk cord trinity bracelet. Have had for several years. When I purchased it, they told me I could come in and have the string changed as frequently as I wished. I have been to a cartier location in NYC who said there are people who come in once a week to change it. I understand why and that they were not changing strings in store during Covid. Now, they still will not change the string and have no reason for this. When I contacted customer service, the rep told me I can go to Manhasset and they will send it into Manhattan for a string replacement. I just called the Manhasset location again to confirm this, and they said they will not send it for me. This is worse than poor customer service for a company who charges what they do for jewelry. My bracelet looks worn and old and I have no desire to wear it anymore. Disappointed, to say the least. read more
