I was stalked by a female associate with grey hair & a bob haircut a few months back. I walked in with my 2 minor children & was on my cellphone. She approached me , rudely said something like everything is half off or something! I was appauled because she saw & heard me on the phone. She walks away , 2 minutes later came back & told my kids shes still on the phone?I turned my back & continued I couldnt believe how rude she was . We had to wallk out the store after she came a 3rd time. The past Sat 26 Aug i returned to the Gap there were 2 women .A younger associate told me rudely can i help you with something, no smile or even a hello , welcome to the gap if you need my help. . . She went on a fairly aggressive harangue about how foolish that was, that I was giving up money, and I said again that I don't give it out. She again, even more aggressively tried to change my mind, at which point I said, "Never mind, thanks anyway," and walked out. I am sure she is told to sell hard for the rewards program, but I contend it's not a good policy. At a Chicos in Northern Virginia, they advertised a sale in the window, so I went in, found some clothes, but when I got to the register, they said I had to be a rewards member to get the discount. I said, "No thanks," and walked out. That store has since closed. I think this rabid effort to get customers to become rewards members is self-defeating.

I purchased a gift for my Mom (81) and it was not the right size. She went to exchange the items and it was beyond the 60 day policy but the exact items were in store and on the sale rack. All she wanted to do was exchange the items for the proper size and they refused. They had the product and would not exchange the items! The tags were still on the product - obviously never worn brand new and simply the wrong size. It is unacceptable that if the store has the product that they would not simply swap it out for the same merchandise. We were both long time and loyal customers and now NEVER AGAIN!. Highly recommend you do not shop at these stores.
