While Slidell is a hub of sorts for the surrounding areas, it is not typical to have such a progressive selection. Anyway, fast forward 3 years and the pieces I bought back then are still of top quality and every time I wear them I continue to receive compliments. The items here are the perfect blend of sophistication with understated sexiness. Just love. They carry some brands I know & love (like Free People) and others I'm not as familiar with but happy to take a risk now that I know they stand the test of time. Stopped in yesterday and happened upon a sidewalk sale - great deals on amazing items! I don't think they advertize these types of sales, so stop in often to see what's new. Maxx has a plethora of purses (including MK purses) among other things like clothes, makeup, furniture and shoes that are made by high end designers at discounted prices. I'd be lying if I told you I looked at any of the other things in this store but the purses, however. The smell of the leather, the way they feel, how they are just oh so pretty keeps me in the purse section of this store until I'm made to leave. Security usually gets called because I'm fondling them all weird and creepy like. Ok, not really, but I'm sure someone is looking at me on a security camera while I'm in the purse section thinking to themselves that I need a life and I need one ASAP. The merchandise here rotates so frequently that things go on clearance fairly often. That means even more of a discount for you, so if you love a bargain like I do check in often. Some are fancy, some are casual, and some you can wear to church or in summer. There were also jeans and everyday clothes. The prices were very good. Some clothes that were $68 were only $23 after discount. Overall, it's a good place to shop if you want cheap prices and don't mind looking around. Be ready to stay around 2,3 or 4 hrs FWI don't bring you hubby ( only if he is paying)
