We purchased a pair of shoes for our daughter in the same size as her last pair of school shoes…read more(bought from Joe's), but unfortunately the size was slightly larger because the brand changed. She wore the shoes to school ONE day and realized they were going to be too large, prompting us to contact the store for an exchange. We were only given a 50% credit wearing the shoes for one day and essentially ended up paying 150% of the price of the shoe because she realized during the first day of wearing them that they were too large. I seriously doubt that shoe is going to land on a 50% discount table. If it does, then I will stand corrected... This was just a completely disappointing experience. I want to buy local and support our local businesses, but policies and actions like this make it hard to support you. Dillards seems to be a staple in the south, so without Nordstroms as an option nearby, I gave it a shot. Great selection. Not the scummy feeling I get at every Macys at all. They had middle of the road designer clothes similar to Nordstroms but not really the super high end stuff. I got some Eileen Fisher and Tommy Bahama as well as Lucky and then some other brand of jeans I had never heard of but love. Basic bit-- clothes and that's what I was looking for. They also had some cute individual pieces that if I had a bigger suitcase...those were way less basic but I had to back away. The staff was really helpful, pointing me to some recent markdowns. So suddenly my impulse shopping trip turned into a bargain trip. Leeann was the woman who helped me and she was very attentive and helpful. Clean and organized - the store felt like it might be relatively new. Ended up rolling out with two new jeans and two shirts. All good.

This shop was recommended to me by a coworker. I was complaining about my old shoes and she said that this store will take time to get you into a pair of shoes that feels right for you... I was so delighted. What my coworker did not mention is that healthcare workers get a 10% discount! Which is great when I need to spend money on shoes anyway! She did not tell me about the scan. There is a foot scan that showed/told me about my feet. Uhhmmmm, my left foot is smaller than, my right---I have limited instep and I have pronation. Knowing what I know now, I could buy my next pair of shoes online but I will buy from Varsity again to support the great service I have gotten.
