Stopped by this outside mall as the alternative stop instead of crowded Bonnet Springs Night Event…read more Initially this reminded me of Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel. I think it's a little bit smaller but similar layout and stores. What I didn't like the most is how dark it was. I don't think that's so safe. It was early enough to where there was at least two more hours of shopping before stores closed yet really dark. It's been about 10 years since I've been here, and it seems to look about the same as that time. They did have a Christmas tree in the center. That at least brightened the place up a bit. The stores off hand that I recall where Bath and Body, Kirkland's, a boutique with country ware, a Thai restaurant, a Vietnamese restaurant, BD's Mongolian BBQ which I was surprised to see, & a Grillsmith. They also had a movie theater and a book store. Those were some of the stores off hand. There were also a handful of empty spaces. The parking was free along the inside of the mall street parking where we parked. The Best Part Was Seeing the Bloom Mural!

Nice outside shopping area right in Lakeland…read more Our whole Fam has a great time here and they have many food options. We did notice on our last trip that there were a decent amount of store fronts now closed, hopefully other will come in soon and this isn't going to be another half full shopping center. We would really miss going here. They have a movie theatre, plenty of food choices from semi affordable to less affordable and a decent amount of stores to peruse through. Most of the stores are your basic chains, but at least you can have a nice walk outside with nice scenery while you walk. They had a huge Christmas tree, great for a photo op. The only thing this place is lacking is for a more trendy or niche/boutique stores that would sell non dept. Store/Mall items. You know something different!!! If you want to have a nice walk about while you shop/eat then check this place out, it's good for a day out with Fam for sure!!!

(I'm mainly also speaking to females here, but if you are a male with that fashion sense then I mean hey go for it haha) I really had no idea what I was walking into the first time I went to Versona. All I knew was that I was in desperate need of some cute dress pants and just a whole outfit for a presentation that was in a few days, so I needed to find something that day. I searched the handy old internet to find some stores nearby that might have what I was looking for at more reasonable prices, and that's when Versona crossed the radar. This is an awesome store! I am far from being a fashionista or really having any trustworthy sense of fashion, but this store has some CUTE items! From tanks to long sleeves to jackets to pants, they have a great selection of different types of clothes that can all be dressed up or are just the professional look you need (or I needed at least). Because, let's be honest- especially for women, previous decades of business appropriate clothes can be UGLY. Like, so awkward fitting, looking, and just really not making you feel confident or good about yourself in any way. But Versona has that touch of modern trends in their styles where you will like how the clothes fit and look. Trust me, it's a big deal! And the best part: the prices are so in reach! Broke college kid speaking here too (rip)- I didn't feel like I was giving away part of my soul just to have some more dress clothes. Most of their pants are around $30-40! They also have at least 3 displays of jewelry, scarves, shoes, sunglasses and so, so much. Oh yeah, you can try on your picks in their dressing rooms that are open again. Hallelujah! Go check them out!

This is disappointing as there were at least two outfits I was interested in. Perhaps if the gal dusting the manikin's feet, or the lady running the garment steamer, maybe one of the two women behind the cash register (which no customer was at), or even one of the ladies hanging and arranging garments could have been bothered to start me a dressing room or help me find the layering pieces displayed in store ..... maybe I'd be wearing one of their cute, albeit somewhat overpriced, outfits and writing a very different review. Bottom line, if you like being ignored, this is the place for you! Zero stars from this shopper.

It's one of the only department stores, besides Bealls, TJMaxx, BelkLindsey, Dillards, that's worth shopping at in Polk County or at least in the Winter Haven Lake Wales area. There's no variety of the old fashioned department store feel, stores that are classy, fun, unique, except driving to Posner Park, or worse Tampa/Orlando, but same cookie cutter types, or one called Ollies...good choice for bargains...The Eagle Ridge Mall needs an overhaul or to be condemned. But still this area needs more stores. Wal*Nutz, Target don't cut it... the culture and clientele that shop there eventually trash it and act ghetto ... it's despicable...crime centers especially Wal*Nutz...Bring back Penny's, Macys. Kohls is a great store, and remember, if you've never worked. Retail don't slam it as far as the esthetics in the store or how it looks on the beginning or at the end of the day, those workers work hard, it's some of the clientele that go into these stores and destroy it. The workers can only do so much and believe me. I come from a retail/merchandise background to know the more you do, the more they expect, the more they expect, the less they appreciate. There's always a "karen" in the bunch, that's going to scream her head off and get her free or a discount, when she doesn't deserve it. Another thing too , people complaining about clothes on the floor what's it gonna kill you to bend down and pick it up and just put it on the shelf , even if you don't fold it? After reviewing some of these photos and comments on here, I'm disappointed. It seems like you have maid service at your house! Retail service workers are always mistreated and yeah , I know they got a hard job and they don't get the pay for it just like any other service job. So just be kind and look around and see , maybe what you could do to maybe put something on the shelf , it's on the floor it's not going to kill you pick it up or put it back on the hanger! Or better yet , to put it back in the place , you found it! What a concept. Keep up the good work Kohls.

I honestly felt like it had been purposefully vandalized or something. I just stopped taking photos after a few minutes, it was so overwhelming. I hadn't been into a Kohls in a few years but I remember it being very nice and tidy. This was way worse than a TJ Maxx or Ross. It was like a Goodwill or something. You would think that first thing in the morning, at store opening for the day, it would be tidy. I just walked out without purchasing a single thing because it was chaos. It would not have been a pleasant shopping experience at all for me. Very disappointing.

I was pretty impressed on my first visit, they really have a lot here. Even their shoes have some highly regarded brands like Jordan, Nike, Adidas, etc. I've found some pretty nice stuff I wear a lot and got for a ridiculously low price. Something that's also cool about Platos is you have the opportunity to donate your own clothes and they will pay you cash if they want anything. In the past at other locations this has worked fairly well for me, so I decided to try it again here after cleaning out my closet. My friend and I took almost a full bin of stuff there to try and sell. I was hoping we'd at least make maybe $30 with what we had, because we had some good brands that Platos is known for selling, like American Eagle, Loft, Victoria's Secret and more.. You check in to sell stuff all online and that went smoothly, but when we came back, they took 2 things. 2 things out of an entire bin, and gave us $7 for them. I was stunned. It seemed pretty ridiculous to me. I will probably never try to sell clothes here again because they probably won't take anything nor will I get a price that's even worth the few items they may want. Another issue is the workers. I read reviews of Platos prior to coming and so many of them complained about the workers. I tried coming in unbiased to see if maybe I'd have a different opinion, but unfortunately I did not. It's just a lot of young kids there to get a check, and they are pretty unprofessional and rude. It's all very unfortunate because the idea of Platos Closet- buying and selling cool brands second hand at really affordable prices- is such an awesome mission and I love it. But locations like this where the workers are disrespectful really bring down the name Platos has worked so hard to build. I'll probably still come back here once in a while and sift through stuff because the prices just can't be beat, but I am mightily disappointed at the overall experience every time here.

The…read morebuilding appears to be in decent condition but the a/c wasn't working properly and the workers kept grumbling about it. Many, if not most of the items were extremely picked over and in poor condition and over-priced. Then, those exact same items were price-tagged in red and were only 50 cents that day. Was that deliberate to sell them or just a coincidence? Also, certain price tag colors had discounts but it depended upon the cashier to determine if they were going to honor that discount or not. They had appliances in bad shape; broken, rusty, and no price tags. On the other hand, many pieces of furniture on the floor appeared to be right out of a store and priced quite high ($150 for one end table) for a thrift shop. Are they new or used? Some were obviously used, others I just couldn't tell. The clothing section was very large and seemed quite poor. Although, a woman before me found a treasure trove of '80s suits someone donated in excellent shape and she bought them all. I'm not interested in them, but it did get me thinking that if one was hunting for things like that, then this place would be one to keep in mind. There was a media room (electronics?, not sure) and books in another area through a doorway, that I did not check out. Only the cashiers were masked. The workers stocking things were masked when we first arrived but soon took them off, and were grumbling about that as well. They seemed to grumble about a lot of things. The biggest problem with this thrift shop is that the loading of purchases and the unloading of donations happen in the same area: the front doors of the store. People show up in very large pick-up trucks with flat bed trailers and park in front of the store and literally block the doors and make the first row of parking spaces very difficult to pull in and out of. Will we come back here? Maybe. Might wait a few months and check this place out again.
