As I write this review today (Oct 2012), I am shaking with anger and overcome by frustration-tears…read moredue to the sudden action of Girling Health Care Services. My parents, patients of Girling for a five month time period, relied on the daily loving care of their nursing staff and therapists, for my Dad, a bed-bound patient who switched from years of Mom's solo-care, to a home healthcare service. Two days ago, due to an infection, Dad was admitted to the hospital for a pik line to assist in the antibiotics-drip treatment. We were set to leave hospital today and continue the antibiotic treatment at home; and discovered through our hospital release-manager that Girling, unbeknownst to us and without any prior conversation with our Girling Case-Manager, had made the decision to drop / cease-to-provide home healthcare for my Dad. Their dismissal came without warning, previous indication and as a total shock to my family. Girling indicated that they were "real sorry" for leaving us in such a bind and forcing us to quickly switch to another service-provider! Healthcare, especially home healthcare is a critical and personal partnership; we would definitely CAUTION others who are considering Girling to be very aware that they too might experience management shifting gears on this "partnership" and without warning, dismiss their service-commitment. My family is in shock and disbelieve, ands feel incredibly betrayed by Girling. OF NOTE: If we could give rating-stars for our wonderful nurse- Grace, aide- Gilberta, or therapist- Mandy; it would be FIVE stars. We will miss you, God bless you three and your families.

It's a shame when it becomes necessarily to look upon with contempt and suspicion at very individuals proposed to provide auxiliary service. The police as well as the appropriate agencies have been notified but I've yet to be contacted by the different departments. I've yet to hear from their internal complaint department as well.

Michelle was my therapist and John was my Intake Manager and were exceptional. Very professional and attentive and were instrumental in my recovery process with various mobility and strengthening exercises to set me up for outpatient PT. So nice to have someone come to the house and take such great care of you. Highly recommend this company!

BEWARE: CAPITOL HOME HEALTH WILL SIGN YOU UP FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY SESSIONS WELL BEYOND WHAT IS…read moreAUTHORIZED IN WRITING FROM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. SPEAK WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AFTER CAPITAL HOME HEALTH COMES TO YOUR HOME TO SIGN YOU UP FOR THEIR SERVICES, IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE YOUR INSURANCE WILL COVER THE COST. I spoke with the case manager from Capital Home Health for Austin home physical therapy after my intake by their physical therapist. The lady with whom I spoke called from Dallas and could not have been ruder. She took great enjoyment in speaking over me repeatedly, not allowing me to ask questions, not allowing me to question the referral, nor allowing me to question the number of days authorized. I ended up telling her she was fired after 10 minutes of this. Bottom line, if I allowed Capitol Home Health to treat me as they planned, my insurance company only authorized 3 days of treatment. Capitol Home Health wanted to treat me for six to eight weeks. While their contract states that you would only pay what the insurance pays, and wouldn't have to pay a copay beyond that, in this situation the bill would have been catastrophic and would have ended up being a court case.
