Wish I had listened to any area contractors beforehand who had warned and known that Allstate may write/underwrite claims similar to other companies, but almost never actually covers anything. Habitually they will deny that damage is bad enough. Zero transparency and systematic delays, as well as poor ability to communicate with claim adjusters or even the people who sold you the coverage to begin with. Getting in touch with anyone here other than the receptionist is almost impossible; whoever does get back to you says they have no control over things on the "Claim Side" of allstate. They will try to sell you anything, but then wash their hands of it when it comes time to actually using the coverage. I encourage everyone looking to look elsewhere.

I learned that it was a life insurance company. For the interview they didn't practice any social distancing & put about 10 applicants in a room at a table. None of their staff were wearing face masks. It was a big chunk of my day sitting there, listening to a video, someone talk to us, and so on. You do house visits with your own car, call people with your own cell phone, and deal with business with your own laptop. They promise you make a lot of money. It's all your own stuff to do it. I had other workers tell me that there weren't house visits. That was in June. Fast forward to September. Again I fell for it with that different name. I declined the interview when I looked up the address. The two people that called me were from Texas and Florida. Not Omaha, for Omaha Inc. Not a great feeling being lied to at the start of the hiring process.

I've been with State Farm for 32 years. In that time I have always been very satisfied with my…read moreagents - until I encountered Jeff Chisham. I had the great misfortune of finding Jeff Chisham as an "agent" when I transferred to Nebraska. I'll spare the details, but his failure to listen to me and do his job nearly cost us our whole life insurance policy. He does less than the bare minimum. I only met him once in 14 years, has no interest in helping clients plan for their future. The only reason I remained with his office is that he had an extremely efficient office staff that managed the nuts and bolts of our insurance needs. After they left, his performance fell below 1 star. I don't understand why State Farm continues to employ him given how poor his performance is. He is obviously riding out his time to retirement. Over the course of having him as an agent I recall him never responding to my calls when I had questions or needs. Rather, he communicated through his office staff. I remember calling my previous agent in a different state to ask for advice because I didn't trust Jeff. That speaks volumes to how bad he is. We recently relocated and, once again, Jeff's office failed to properly manage the transfer of our account, AGAIN resulting in near cancellation of our personal articles policy. I am SO happy to be out from under him. I wholly recommend AGAINST hiring such an apathetic, non-communicative, ineffectual agent with an astonishingly subpar work ethic, which is what you will experience with him and his lukewarm staff, who I pity having to work with him.
