I had this company out for what should have been a straightforward shower cartridge replacement,…read moreand the whole experience left a bad taste. To start, the plumber was friendly enough, but within minutes of arriving, he pivoted straight into trying to sell me a $5,000 water softener system. I don't know when every service call turns into a retail sales pitch, but it's exhausting. I declined and asked to stick to the actual issue. From there, things got worse. Before even inspecting the cartridge or looking behind the wall, he began suggesting a much more invasive (and expensive) solution involving cutting an access panel into my bedroom wall and potentially replacing surrounding plumbing. Again, this was all before any real attempt to diagnose the problem. When I pushed back and said I just wanted the cartridge replaced, I was quoted around $500. High, but fine. Then, after about 30 seconds of trying, he claimed the faucet "wouldn't come off" and immediately went back to pushing the wall-cutting option. I decided to hold off and take a look myself after he left. The faucet was stuck, sure--but with a Dremel, I had it off in under two minutes. A quick trip to Lowe's, about $150 in parts, and an hour of work later, everything is fixed. No leaks, no wall damage, no unnecessary upsell. End result: I saved somewhere between $350 and $1,000, depending on which route they were trying to steer me toward. I don't expect miracles, but I do expect an honest attempt to fix the actual problem before jumping to the most expensive option. This felt far more like a sales call than a service call. Would not use again.

Shaun did the estimate and helped to get everything set up. Even getting the state inspector to come by on an off day for the area. Randall, Matthew and Jody did the bulk of the work with Dustin coming in and doing some finish up work. It was a large job but I finally got the correct outlet for the dryer, all electrical up to code and had everything completed in a day, even the labeling of the panel. So very greatful for the quick timing. Will definitely be calling them for future electrical and plumbing needs. Thanks Again!

I think my first purchase from Locke was a hot water stem for a antique, clawfoot tub. I appreciate that Locke takes the time to read and respond to every customer email. Service is always efficient and prompt, and the prices are reasonable. This appears to be a family business, which shows in how much care and devotion they put into their trade. I also like that they allowed me to mail Clawfoot faucet stems to their store to find exact matches. Not only did this save money, it also allowed me to find the exact replacement parts. Overall, A+. Keep doing what you are doing. It's worked since 1948. Evan

I felt relieved that Barry let me watch him work and told me what he was doing step-by-step and then gave me advice about what he thought the actual problem was. Well, I had to call them again just before Christmas for the same drain and found out that I had concrete piping that was causing the plug. Barry walked me outside and show me what to do to locate the drain and offered to come and help me replace the sewer lines on the Saturday after Christmas! The Saturday after Christmas folks!
