Our old scruffy lawn has been transformed by stone pathways between garden spaces full of flowers, scents and serenity, all enclosed by the privacy of a beautiful new fence . It became immediately clear after our initial consultation that Debbie and Nick's approach was significantly different than a highly "recommended" landscaper who proposed the usual yellow day lilies, Japanese holly, nandina, plunked here and there, all of which you can see in any commercial landscape. Nick started with huge amounts of soil mixed with pumice to assure good drainage which was the first major difference. Their very creative plant selection was adjusted as needed, which I found very reassuring as a gardener. We now have these beautiful moss and lichen boulders sitting among a variety of plants, tied together in a colorful apricot and purple pallet. Nick, Debbie, and Josh only work on one project at a time, so we knew once work started, it would not stop until it was finished. Neighbors are always stopping by to look. We can not wait until it all grows in. It is beautiful!

WeI had never used a landscape designer before, and I wasn't sure if it was really going to be worth it. In the back of our minds we thought that we could probably plan our yard and garden ourselves. In the end, after seeing the final detailed plan that Jeff provided we couldn't be more convinced that we made the right choice having a professional do this work. We avoided so much wasted time and money by having this plan set from the beginning. It is really worth it!

We purchased an older home and gutted it before we moved in and let's just say that the construction process was none to friendly on an already worn out yard. I received multiple bids but John's included a lot more hardscape for a similar amount of money. John was on site everyday and helped me design the yard as nothing was usable due to the slope, and he did some excavation to make us some flat portions. We now have a fire pit area that they meticulously cut each piece of flagstone, a few walk ways, planter beds, sprinklers, low voltage lighting, sod, rock walls etc. We couldn't be happier. Oddly, I didn't seem to many photos when they were done last summer when it looked perfect but will post a few so I am not another 9 months in writing the review. He also went out of his way to get favorable sourcing/pricing for the arborvitae trees, which really helped keep the cost reasonable. When they were done, they did a nice job of cleaning everything up. In short, they provided great service at a reasonable price. We would not hesitate to work with Scott and his team again.

There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid ($6600 for a 13'X16' 4" concrete patio w/ hot tub reinforcement), but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid.

From the beginning, Alex (the owner) impressed us with his thoughtful planning, clear communication, and confident approach to a destroyed yard: a post-construction disaster zone wherein our entire quarter-acre plot of land was turned into a pit of uneven, impacted mud. Our project involved building a retaining wall, grading, improving drainage, and hauling away a large dump truck of poor quality fill dirt. It was a tough job, but they handled it with incredible professionalism and skill from start to finish. Not only did they tackle the hard work with skill and efficiency, but they also went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right--down to the last detail, suggesting water timers and tripod sprinklers that worked well. Their team was professional, and respectful. The dumpster company he hired accidentally knocked over my mailbox. I texted him about it the evening I noticed it; it was replaced by the next morning. Also, Alex genuinely seemed to care about the outcome, calling and later stopping by after a week to check the progress. The end result was even better than we imagined. What was once a sad and frustrating yard is now beautiful, usable, and a joy to spend time in again. We're incredibly grateful for their hard work and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for quality landscaping--especially for projects that are a challenge or too difficult for others. We plan to hire Wild Oasis to come back to help us naturescape our property ASAP. Thank you again for an amazing job!

Unfortunately, that is where the reasonable service ended. As of today (seven weeks and five days later), I still have not received the estimate, despite following up with phone calls and emails. I cannot comment on the quality of the work, but I can confirm that the communication is horrible. This extreme delay and silence are a major red flag for how this business operates. I have since noted that this communication pattern is a recurring issue mentioned in other Yelp reviews. I would not recommend doing business with this company due to the unacceptable delay in simply providing a quote.

From the first meeting, I told them I was looking for a contemporary/modern style. I provided the designer with a multi-page PDF of inspiration images and links to examples of landscape designers I liked (that don't live here). Long story short, they couldn't deliver a contemporary/modern landscape design. But, instead of owning that at the beginning of the process, they let me know after two disappointing design rounds and a $700 deposit down the drain that they "believe that your desired design aesthetic is outside the scope of our expertise". They had all the information to make that determination early-on but took on the project anyway. The only saving grace and reason they aren't getting one star is Theresa. She's a hoot and I loved talking to her. I think she did her best and made every effort to save the project when she saw it wasn't working. Now, I've had to start over at square one 6 months later--when I hoped I would have had my landscaping installed and ready to enjoy by fall. Super disappointing experience that could have been completely avoided from the get-go.
