Good bicycle access without having to ride on the road, bicycle parking built right into the station buildings, no hard to cross busy roads around the station (the one that would be a problem is closed permanently to cars!), right next to a big park, only 400m from two different schools... the list goes on.

This is another one of those stations that is unlikely to be around for all that much longer. That…read moreno doubt has to do with them wanting to remove the level crossing. Anyway, the station really isn't all that bad, though it certainly does look pretty old and is in need of a facelift. However, I do like the old buildings, though I suspect that some of them will eventually be knocked down, namely because they are pretty old, even if they have some character.

Okay, there are some rest facilities nearby, and a shopping strip, but honestly that is really about it. Oh, trains do stop here, but then again you would sort of be hoping for that with a railway station. Yeah, it really doesn't rank all that highly in my books though.

That, personally, is a pretty cool thing because it means that this old style station will remain, something that I certainly do appreciate. It's quite handy as well, being close to numerous shops, though I do have to admit that there isn't really anything of interest in this part of town.

This is your average train station. It's a hit and miss with friendliness for customer service. One…read moreday I had a helpful staff member, the next day I get a very snarky rude one. It just depends on the luck of the draw. Also, I came one day to see that the lift wasn't working and a queue was forming. There was a sign pointing to a way to my platform, but it wasn't very specific. Fortunately, I followed some passengers to a set of stairs I was not even aware existed and found my way to the right platform. This station is the hub for many connecting bus routes from nearby areas. There are two trains that pass through this station to lead to the city. If you need to find it, it is right next to the Little India section of Dandenong.

This is sort of a beach side railway station, namely because it is actually a short walk to the…read morebeach. However, it is also quite close to the shops as well, making is a rather convenient beachside location. However, one of the catches is that it does take quite a while to actually get down here, depending on where you happen to live of course. Still, as a railway station, this place certainly does work quite well, and the trains are sort of regular, at least as far as Melbourne trains are concerned.
