He gave me a pre-approval and It took him until the day of our inspection before he informed us that he couldn't work with us because of where I worked. Keep in mind that I already told him where I worked and that we were applying for a Conventional loan and not an FHA for this exact reason. Then when I asked him "Why are you only telling me this now?" His only response was "I just didn't notice". It's a level of incompetence that was not just shocking, but Infuriating. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

The CCM website is overly complicated, unhelpful, and clearly must overwhelm 99% of your borrowers, Our experience over the last few months has made us so frustrated that we determined it would be easier and less painful to pay off the loan and no longer have anything to do with Cross country Mortgage. Jennifer and Joe were always helpful, courteous, and quick to answer our questions. There was an issue that we found out about a few days before closing. It turned out that Mortgage Concierge bought points in order to secure the rate. By that time, we were basically backed into a corner because it was too late to apply for a mortgage somewhere else. They called and said that they will refund us the amount since it was their mistake and that the check will be sent out 15 days after closing. They ended up taking longer than 15 days and we kept calling them but never received a response. In the end, Kyle got in touch with us and refunded us the amount. He explained that they were closed for weeks due to the holiday season and ended up wiring us the money so it was faster. Overall I'm really satisfied with them and would definitely go through them again

The ability to do both commercial and residential was helpful as Ive found a lot of lenders don't do both (or a a minimum you deal with totally different people for each) - especially larger banks. My loan in 2010/2011 was especially difficult as I had recently started my own business and there was an IRS issue where a tax credit I had received was holding up all sorts of stuff. Kyle helped me get through it and closed - a few other lenders had said it was impossible.
