I took French when I was in college a few years back, so when I decided to sign up for French classes here, they told me about the "False Beginners" course. This is an intensive 1 week program to refresh all your basics of French, so it's perfect for those who have taken French before and don't want to start from Beginners I. They offer opportunities to practice your French outside the classroom as well, they meet up in coffee shops roughly once a month to practice your French language skills. I have taken two courses in this institution, and in general the professors are great, ones more dynamic and creative than others. The one thing I don't love about their teaching system is that the textbook they use for the courses is a 2001 edition, almost 20 years old! I know the basics of the language is the same, but the examples, vocabulary and illustrations could use an update!

They offer all levels of French, from beginner to advanced at very convenient times and often more than one class a week. The classes are small groups. So far for me they have not been larger than six people, but they can have up to ten students per class. My two French teachers have had very different teaching styles, but both have been very fun, motivating and successful. Every time French class is over, I feel that I don't want to stop. If you are at all affiliated with the University of New Mexico, (and I have a friend who audits one…read moreonline course a semester just to gain access to this place) this is a facility that is unlikely to be matched for a couple reasons. First of all, they have an unfair advantage in facilities. There's not a lot of day cares that can afford such an institution with about 9 age-segregated buildings a giant court yard, 6 age-segregated playgrounds, and a full office staff without state subsidies and student fee. So take advantage. There is a primary teacher and about two assistant teachers per room and the kid to teacher ratio is well below state standards. The facility is very organized and they have a long term development plan which goes from infancy through the Pre-K program (which thankfully got some of it's funding cuts returned.) Kids leave this place with extremely good communication skills and are able to verbally resolve conflicts and express feelings and needs maturely by the age of four. They also seem to be very well prepared academically for public kindergarten. The prices are on the high side of moderate but not out of the vicinity of other top daycares around town especially with the student discount. There is a significant waiting list of about 6-12 months so I recommend putting your new-born on this waiting list and several others even if you don't intend to start daycare for another year or so. My five year old started here when she was about 1 and a half on a drop in schedule and moved into a half day by two and eventually a full day. She always had a good time and never once complained about not liking it there. She had several wonderful teachers that still know her and me by name. They still offer before and after school care for kindergarten but we've decided to try other places. My two year old went there for about a year and loves her teacher and I think the feeling is mutual.

Ignored email, phone, and form messages about driver hours for 9 months. Then, wanted to charge…read more$250 to "reinstate" student if perfect attendance didn't happen, and with 6 am drive times all that was available for several months. When I objected to the $250 fee and was walking away to take my business elsewhere, the drive instructor tried to goad me into a fight, saying "don't walk away, turn around," and "come at me, bro." They don't get it. Their lack of professionalism is why I am going to another place for my driver hours and none of my younger children or friends will be going here. Even if the guy wasn't 6'2" and 250 lb, I wouldn't fight him. These people are the epitome of unprofessional bullies.

My daughter received two bruises two days apart from each other in the same exact spot. When I…read moreaddressed it with the director, she just told me that they should've wrote a report, but they had "documented it". Never informing me or my husband about these bruises. As a parent that was a huge red flag to me, I had also taken pictures of it as soon as we noticed them, which was the date of each bruise . After the second one something didn't feel right, considering again it was in the same exact spot and the same exact long line shape. I never received an apology or an explanation as to why my daughter received these bruise on her back thigh near her bottom. For the safety of your kids, I would not recommend bringing them here!
