I have visited this shop twice for minor body work coordinated with my insurance policy. The staff were kind and helpful and explained everything to me during each visit. The car was finished quicker than planned and they were able to install a clear bra lining that had been mistakenly left off in less than 20min at the end of the day, which I super appreciated. Was sent there because it was recommended by my auto insurance company USAA. Unfortunately we've had to use their services three times in the past six months. Fortunately though each time has proven to be an outstanding experience. Everyone we've dealt with has be been polite, responsive and extremely helpful. Had hail damage on my car from 4th of July. I was able to schedule the estimate over my lunch break within a few days of my claim so they got me in very quickly. Was also nice to have the choice of the soup/salad place, and BBQ right next to the shop. Then they scheduled me the very next week for 2-3 days to get the paintless dent repair done. Not well advertised, but very convenient was the Avis/Budget rental car location in the Walmart just a 5 minute walk behind the Carriage Shoppe. The hardest part of car repairs for me is getting the car to the shop, ride home, and pickup same thing. This is a great location and made it easy for me to just walk around the corner and get my rental. Back to the repairs though...The Carriage Shoppe has done paint work for me in the past, spoilers and bumper repair, but the hail damage repair was amazing. They finished my car in half the time so I was able to return the rental car early, and they really did an excellent job. I only found one very small issue, a small dent on the door that could have been there before from a door ding, or maybe hail, but when I called in they said to bring it in immediately and they would take care of it, no extra charges. In my 2-3 experiences with this shop, they are always very professional, take time to walk you through the repair process if you want to know, and provide very clear details on their pricing. It is no wonder they are the preferred shop for many insurance companies and even if I had to pay out of pocket I would still choose Carriage Shoppe because I know I can trust them and their work will be excellent. My experience with The Carriage Shoppe was very poor, and I cannot recommend this business. I was sent to The Carriage Shoppe by the USAA Insurance Co the Ins company of the man who ran into my older pickup. A truck I have owned for many, many years. I'm the original owner and while the damage was light and under $1000 dollars, I very much care about every scratch on this cherry older truck! The Carriage Shoppe had a women named Melissa look at my truck, she bitched me out for no appointment, please know USAA never told me to make an appointment. This women wouldn't even look under the truck for damage, she claimed I needed a bumper that was no longer available, total B.S. the bumper was available as a rebuilt bumper online. She claimed I didn't need the bumper-brackets holding the bumper on! All the while never looking at the brackets! This bumper was pushed in by the car that hit me at about 30 MPH with my truck at a dead stop. It looks to me like this shop works for the Insurance Co not for vehicle owners, Stay Clear! Would I use this company? NO!, No way in the world! If a company messes with you up front, I've felt like it will be worse at pick up time. My opinion of my experience was these people are very Un-Professional to me, Buyer Beware! read more

I went into the shop to get an estimate for my truck. The front female office person with brown curly hair greeted me with, "We close in 15 minutes." Not, Hello, how are you? Or how can I help you. I shared I would like to see if they could give me an estimate and that I called ahead of time and talked with someone who said they could take a quick look, especially if I sent pictures to them ahead of time. The office lady shared rudely, "That's not how we do things around here and that we are booked out for estimated this small until February." She then walked to the door as if to escort me out. I stoped to share that she was being very rude and that I haven't received this rude of customer service in over 15 years. I felt judged based on having only a $1000 worth of damage. I do not recommend this shop because of the rude customer service from the front office person with brown curly hair. I don't know if she is the owner but very rude and judgemental baised on the level of damage a to truck. I would not return to the business establishment if they gave me the cheapest estimate to fix my new Toyota Tundra truck. Again, the rudest person I have encountered in the last 15 years. Go to Kustom Paint across the street, much better service and that establishment talked to me even during the last 5 minutes before they closed. Nicest gentalman there. This business is very bad news with questionable ethics. They waited until they had my car completely apart to tell me that it was likely a write-off. The insurance company did not agree but it was so close that I decided to cash out. When I did, the staff at this company was absolutely furious with me and became extremely rude. Even worse, they refused to give me back my car until I paid them even more than they were going to charge me if they had done the work. With no choice, I stipulated that they were never to contact me again under any circumstances. Why were they so angry? The only thing I can figure is that they receive kickbacks on parts and they felt cheated out of their kickbacks when I exercised my choice to cash out. Very disreputable organization. read more

This place is awesome and very military friendly. I had orders drop and I needed my car back a week earlier then when it was suppose to be done. I called them up boom no problem they put it on top of their to do list. It was done right when I asked them to have it done by. No problem! But on the last 3 repairs they have failed in getting it right the first, second or third times. And they put an additional dent in the door frame when aligning the front bumper. Called on a recent Friday afternoon and spoke with employees Katy and subsequently Kendra for an appointment the following Tuesday. I requested if I could use a 2014 Living Social (LS) coupon which had an expiration date of 2019. The co-owner Steve graciously agreed to honor the coupon for detail work. All three people were courteous and professional. When I brought my car in on Tuesday morning and met Lynn (family co-owner), she promptly put me in line for service. That afternoon when I picked up the car, and employee Renee greeted me, honored the LS coupon without any further charge and asked me to let her know if anything was not done perfectly and she would make good. When my wife saw the results we were both wowed because the Acura never looked so good in the ten years we've had it. I thought I was going to have to total my car due to a scam artist before The Carriage Shoppe (over $10,000 to repair Lakewood Collisions fraudulent work, read my review for Lakewood Collison to really understand the corruption from LC's shop) but it is now back to new...including the new tires they placed today. YAY!!! And thank you. I absolutely will never take my car to anywhere else, and I live in South Denver. Towing to them is well worth it if you really want great solid work from a mechanic you can trust to do amazing work and have your best interest at heart. I had an airbag sensor go off in my car and Steve's number one concern was making sure the airbag worked for my safety. They warrantied the work, called me to get me back in to fix it because they wanted me safe then charged me nothing since it is warrantied. Avoid this place at all cost! We recently had our vehicle repaired in their body shop. Horrible experience. The gray haired shop foreman (owner?) is the biggest jackass you will ever have the misfortune of running into. If he really is the owner, it is no wonder the business sucks. Without first ensuring it was okay with us, they used salvage parts instead of OEM. I realize sometimes as a consumer it may be in your best interest to accept used parts, but they didn't even make any attempt to have OEM parts approved. Their excuse will be the paragraph they have on the back of the last page of their estimate stating "LKQ" parts may be used. The key word in my opinion is "may." They shouldn't be a shop's first choice. They put a used window that was all scratched up in the passenger side door and felt that was acceptable! The repair work itself was of poor quality. Small paint runs, wrinkled clear coat, over spray to name a few. I'll give some credit to the manager (woman who's name I can't recall) who at the end of this ordeal attempted to make things somewhat right, but by then there really wasn't much she could do. Take my advice and have your vehicle repaired anywhere else in Fort Collins. read more

Thes guys have done minor body work and painted my truck twice due to natual disaster. They are very kind and easy to work with. The owner "Steve" is a great guy and very friendly. They worked seemeless with my insurance and had a neat program avilable online to monitor the progress of repairs. Last spring I took a small side job to them and they did a fantastic job. My only complaint is the cost - they seem to be slightly higher than other guys in town. The thing with paint though - is you pay for what you get. I would rather pay a little more and get a good paint job than have the headache and problems of a cheap paint job. read more

Never again. I waited for weeks after having my deer struck car towed in. They finally tore it apart and then told me it would weeks more. It took so long that my insurance rental car time ran out so I got one of their loaners. It was awful and got a flat tire and had to pay for a brand new tire before they would let me out of the shop. Then I got another loaner which I had to fill with oil to even make it home. The 3 women yelled at me and called me names that I haven't heard since jr, high. They refused to give me my car until I paid with a check claiming I'll cancel the payment on my credit card. That makes no sense. It was so bad that the insurance agent had to do all the communications to get things wrapped up. The body work was done well so I'll give the place one star. I had my cars here in the past and the experience was good. Message is-- customer service is on their term...avoid the place at all costs. I had no problems going here. In fact, I am so happy I brought my car to The Carriage Shoppe. Not only did they do an excellent job fixing my car and making it look great, they also fixed some other damage for free that another local place was saying would cost me $1700. Carriage Shoppe was initially only going to charge me just over $100 to fix the other damage but instead buffed it out and then said there was no charge for that. They could have charged me and I would have never known the difference. It's just so awesome a place exists that is not going to take everything from you that they can. Everybody was so helpful and they worked with me on how I was paying for it. Renee, Kathy, Kendra, and their dog were all very friendly and welcoming. Whoever did the work made it look great. Stay away from Carriage Shoppe. I recently had hail damaged done by carriage Shoppe in which they replaced my hood. I'm a former mechanic and just a few days ago I changed the oil in my car for the first time since the repairs had been done. I didn't realize it at the time but when I had opened my hood all the way it caught in the corners and lifted the corners of the fenders where it meets the hood. It also bent down the corners of my hood. I then took it back to carriage Shoppe looking to figure out how to fix this since it was obviously a problem with the alignment of the hood. I , being a former mechanic and quality control at a dealership, knew the disposition that would instantly occur if I said I did the oil change myself. So i decided to tell the gentlemen and advisor I had the oil changed at a reputable establishment (the dealership I used to work for). Before even looking at the car the technician asked where I got it done and that there was nothing he could do. Being that it's an auto body facility I found that hard to believe. He immediately denounced the problem saying it must have been during the oil change and that I didn't know what the kid(oil change technician) could have done to do it. The advisor also said the hood wasn't bent at all Jay the fenders lifted. Now, it being my car for over 5 years and very well experienced in the automotive field , I knew they were both wrong and asked if there was anything they could do to help me. I didn't even say for free I just wanted it fixed. If he had done a good job I would have been happy to compensate him for his time. Since there was obviously no way they were going to help me at this point I left. I since repaired the damaged areas myself and it didn't take much more than 15 minutes. That was the price they paid for losing a customer and compete respect for that business. STAY AWAY FROM CARRIAGE SHOPPE. They are not BBB accredited and it shows in their work and customer service. read more
