Wow. Waterworks. Where to begin. My family and I moved here from Washington State in 2019. We…read morehave a 100 year old house, and right before COVID my sewer pipes had issues and there was raw sewage filling my basement. I called my home warranty, Cinch, and they attached me to Waterworks. Bobby came out, assessed the damage, and they got to work. Then the guy running the operation, Joe, came on the scene. My basement freezer was unplugged, ruining a few hundred bucks worth of meat. I went out one day, smiled, asked if I could get them anything-usually that means something to drink, water. Joe said "Yeah, how 'bout some Hoagies?" I thought it was a joke, but he was dead serious. Now if I say no, I'm the jerk. So lunch cost me 200 bucks. The day they were digging the trench to replace the pipe it was pouring. But they dug it anyway, destroying my whole yard. Joe said, don't worry, lay some sod down-it'll be cheap. They gave me options for run off to go to the curb-the dollar signs were already out of control. I ask what's the cheapest, and he tells me to run it out the side for it to just go down to the street. At this point, being new to all this, that sounded fine. It wasn't-it flooded my neighbor's driveway every day. I call, Joe tells me to just bypass it so water goes out with the sewage. What I didn't know was that it was illegal. To top it all off, the cleanout was put, sticking up, in the middle of my dirt yard-not close to the house, where it should have gone. He said not to worry, they'd cut it back in the spring and I could put a pond over it or bushes or something. Then it came time to get Cinch to pay me three of the TEN THOUSAND it cost me for the job. I had to nag and nag and nag before he said he was on the phone with them for hours, but he had made sure to get me the best price. The check, he said, would come to him and I could come pick it up there, but he'd have to charge me for billable hours. I call Cinch, they said they cut the check immediately and it would come to my house in a few days. I called good 'ole Joe and called him on it. He said he thought I'd just want to tip him for such a bang up job they did, A few years roll by-I had the pipe cut back, ate the rest of the costs or did things myself. Years go by. 2023. I had to call about a different issue, and I was sent to Waterworks again. I lost it. I talked to the new manager/owner, can't remember her name.. Said Joe was out, she was horrified, wanted to make it right, and maybe I'd want to give them a good review when all was said and done. Here's what 'right' looked like: They did everything they were supposed to, but they would run a new pipe to the street. They would do it for a discounted grand. Again, lost it-I shouldn't have to pay a dime. I had a friend, a contractor, come over and look after I told him about it. The pipe from basement to street is already there. There were leaves covering it. Now I want to sell the house, and I still have to deal with this. Yeah, they sure made everything right. If I could go negative, I would.

Please do not use these people. They are associated with a home warranty service and have a scam…read moregoing where they charge you $500 to "remove the toilet" to snake a drain and the warranty company pays $200 of it after they just told you it was clearly a broken pike and they'd fix it for $10,000. Then they tell you to fix it you'd have to sign a waiver for when they "open the pipe sewage will come out and we will leave it there. Because it's your sewage. And we don't want to get sued for your sewage". I've literally never met a plumber who makes you sign a waiver that they don't clean what happens when you open a pipe. Clearly this is a scam they have going. Please don't use these people. Much more honest plumbers out there. Gentleman who visited were kind. No issues with them. But their business is legit a grifter service. Also days later the supervisor called and she continued to gaslight me that no one would clean up what they found when they fixed the broken pipe. I asked her why they told the company it was a clog and wanted to charge for taking the toilet off if they knew it was a broken pipe and she got super rude and told me again no one would fix it. Well, my plumber did and they did not make me sign a waiver or leave sewage in my basement. Avoid this business people. Absolutely unacceptable business practices. 0 stars if I could.

Yes, this is a long review, but for good reason. Please take the time to read it, if you are…read morelooking for an excellent HVAC company. Before I start, please know it's rare for me to write a review for a company, but every once in a great while, I come across a company who truly deserves a positive review. Jonathan's Heating & Air Conditioning Company is one of those rare companies that truly deserves a great review. On May 1, 2024, I had a company (not Jonathan's, as I hadn't heard of them yet), install a brand new HVAC unit in my home. In mid-June of this year, 2025, my just over 1 year old HVAC unit was only putting out "fan air", not "air conditioned" air. (Of course, the warranty expired exactly 1 year after installation). I put in a claim with my home warranty company. After several days of them not being able to find a company to come to my home to repair the unit, they finally gave me the option to find my own licensed technician to come out and diagnose the problem. I called the original installer, figuring he could easily diagnose and repair the problem, but he said he was booked out for the next 5 weeks!! So, I called many large and small companies that advertised that they can install and/or repair HVAC units. The earliest any of them could come out was about 10 days. Not only that, but most of them said they would not help me answer the questions required by the home warranty company about the HVAC unit's issues, so that I could (hopefully) be approved for the repairs & get reimbursed later. After many, many calls, I came across Jonathan's Heating & Air Conditioning Company. Not only were they the least expensive price I was quoted by any of the other companies I called, to come out & diagnose the problem, but they were willing to help me submit the needed answers to the questions required by my home warranty company, so we could proceed with the repairs once the problem was identified. When I spoke with Alix, in the office, she heard the desperation in my voice. She said they would send out one of their techs the very same day!! Their tech, Joe, did indeed come to my home that same day as promised. He diagnosed the problem. He took pictures and a video & he sat with me while I answered all of the home warranty company's questions and submitted the pictures, (they do not accept videos), on their portal. The home warranty company called Joe, while he was still at my house & said they wanted more pictures. Joe took more pictures and I submitted them. His patience level was nothing short of exceptional while we waited for the warranty company's decision. They did not make a decision that day. In fact, the home warranty company took days to make a decision. Alix, in the office, was kind and compassionate. She knew my cat & I were suffering on the 100 degree days we were having in NJ. Joe, their technician, was just as kind and compassionate as Alix. During the waiting period (because of the home warranty company's delay in reaching a decision), Alix and Joe continued to have good communication with me to see if there was anything else needed by the warranty company. On two occasions, I spoke to the owner, Jonathan. He explained in more detail, but in layman's terms that I could understand, exactly what the problem was for my own knowledge and in case the warranty company asked me any additional questions. The whole experience with Jonathan's Heating & Air Conditioning was exceptional. The pricing, the quality of workmanship, the communication, the willingness to answer questions I had & the willingness to help me answer the home warranty's questions, etc., by far exceeded my expectations. I would, without reservation, recommend them to my family and friends (and anyone else reading this review), should any of you have any HVAC issues.
