Colourful little store, part of the Intek Communications chain…read more I do rather like their displays of all the latest cellphones that they put out on the pavement (okay, on a stand, on the pavement. Not really ON the pavement or they'd get trodden on..) I usually stop and look, and then start playing around with some of the snazzier models just because they're gadgets and they're cool! But of course, that's like a fly tugging at a strand of spider-0web and out pops the sales assistant, hoping to temp me into signing my bank balance away for the pleasures of sporting one of these models. he's always disappointed, of course, as I'm a cheap & cheeful pay-as-you-go gal. But he's a jolly good sport about it. There's often 'local' deals available, and if you like the latest mobile technology and have the hard cash to support it, then it's a fabulous shop to browse. Otherwise, it's poking around with display models all the way!

After 3 emails asking why they'd sent me a 2nd hand unit when I'd paid for a brand new one were ignored we decided to send it back - especially as we'd then discovered that it was already registered as well so that was further proof that this was a returned item. I had to chase up after I'd sent it back Special Delivery just to be told in a one liner email that they had refunded the product! No 'sorry' - No 'would you like us to send you a brand new one' ! So don't be fooled by the lure of a good deal, this a shambles of a company and I'd highly recommend steering clear.

I wasn't sure but thought it was probably the special power adaptor that had died. The other computer shop in Trowbridge was quite happy to sell me a replacement (even though they weren't sure it was the correct one). The guys in abm advised me that it might not be the adaptor at all, but could be the connector in my screen. They didn't try to sell me a new flash screen, but as I had already explained I was looking to replace my pc in a year or two, they suggested buying a second hand screen. After a little negotiation, I got a very good second hand screen for £10 (much less than the cost of the adaptor) and they even carried it to the car for me!

I have a watch that I bought in America, and every other local jewellers could not remove the back of the watch in order to replace the battery - he did it in seconds, with no marks on the watch at all! His prices are reasonable too. I've not used the jewellery repair or manufacturing side of the business, but he knows his stuff (unlike a lot of the chain jewellers).
