I live in SVL and have a sunken fireplace conversation pit that needed new carpet. It's a very complex installation with lots of custom cuts, angles, and fitment. It required someone very experienced to perform the installation. Carpeteria Joe knocked it out of the park completely when it came to providing a very plush roll of carpet, nice memory foam padding and the best experienced installer you could find. And he did it very quickly and very affordable. Thank you Joe! read more

Called Carpeteria and spoke with Joe. He came and measured. I called and set up an appointment for install. To my surprise it was Manuel who had stretched my carpet upstairs last year. 5 STAR For price, quality, install and clean up. Thank you read more

Joe was awesome, he helped us choose the right colors and was very accommodating! We checked a lot of places for prices and none matched his! Would definitely recommend. read more

I purchased Shaw Luxury vinyl flooring 4 years ago this month. The quality of the installation of the flooring and the baseboards were true perfection. I have heard horror stories of other people's flooring and I am so thrilled that my flooring looks as good as he day of installation. The outstanding customer service still stands out in my mind today. To Joe and the team, my deepest thanks. read more

I went to a few local flooring places. No one would show up. This was before covid. My friend Nikky H., recommended carpeteria to me. I went right over and talk with Carey. She gave me a few samples. I told her what I was trying to do. She came out and measured. Within a few weeks my floors were transformed. Carey, Joe and Carlitos installation team had the job done in about 4-5 hrs. Amazing! Very kind. Most importantly, the price was right!! I was expecting this job to cost a lot more. I have a few more home improvement projects to tackle and I definitely will be returning to Carpeteria!! Best of all they are local and I can support my local community!! Thank you Joe, Carey and your whole staff!! I definitely recommend Carpeteria for your home improvement projects!! read more

We were referred to by friends to check out Carpeteria. They have a nice selection in the showroom and helpful reliable service. The process was easy! I explained to Carey, sales person, what we were looking for. She showed us solid options and answered our questions & concerns. Joe, the owner, came out and gave us the estimate. We had two options and Joe did a good job explaining the pro & cons. On the day of installation (and everyday after that) Carlos & his sons were at our place on time & ready to get started. He addressed our questions and gave helpful suggestions. Our family couldn't be any more pleased with the service we received from the team at Carpeteria. Great Job! read more

We are in the process of remodeling our home and decided to go with carpet in our living-room, bedrooms, stairs and hallway. Not only did Joe give us an excellent price and quality carpet and pad; his installation guys were incredible. The did an excellent job, moved existing furniture and managed to preserve our freshly painted interior without a scratch or ding anywhere! Everything was completed in the time requested (less than 2 days for almost 2000 square feet of installation). Joe was so helpful during the selection process and his business is definitely one I'd trust for any and all flooring needs in the future. Thanks so much for everything!!! The house is looking beautiful! read more

Yesterday my wife and I stopped in to get some pricing on some carpeting for our rental. After just a few minutes Joe helped us pick out exactly what we were looking for, and gave us the pricing that worked perfectly for us. The best part of this story is that less than 24 hours later the job was completed. Our installation man, Manny, was very professional and did a great job! Thank you so much Carpeteria! We had new carpet installed in our home in 2019. What an awesome job by everyone at Carpeteria. Last month we sold our home. After moving furniture we needed a patch done. Once again, Carpeteria to the rescue. 1 day after receiving the call Carpeteria came out and patched the area where we moved our safe. You couldn't even tell it was done. Highly recommend Joe and his amazing team!! read more

I had called two weeks ago inquiring about a patch of carpet that needed to be replaced that was installed by Carpeteria a year ago. They said they would call back the following week, when the owner was present. The week came & went & followed up with 2 more calls & said they had a similar carpet in stock & at the warehouse. I showed today to get the small patch & the owner was extremely rude, especially since I was a returning customer, "I'll give you call. This is not a priority." Well, I've been calling to check on a tentative date you plan to install & no one called me back. At this point we'll do it ourselves. I just need a small patch. He said I can't help you & walked away. This is how Carpeteria treats their returning customer? Consumer awareness. DON't GO WITH THIS COMPANY! read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. Owen Joe is a rude jerk. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. We bought tile from him for our bathroom and the guy came out and installed it. When he was done, we found that several of the tiles were lifted and we would hit our feet on it when walking in the bathroom. Also, the chunks of grout all over the floor and some of the grout had come off the tile. We called Joe back and let him know of the problem. He sent the guy back and only told him about the grout, not about the tile lifting on the floor. So, when the guy came out, he was only able to clean off the grout. The guy did come back again and replaced about 4 tiles that were lifted. However, the next day we saw 1 tile with dark grout that looked like it did not dry correctly. We pushed on the tile and it was coming up and making a crunching noise like there was not enough glue on the tile. Well, we told Joe and that's when the problem started. His first response was to scream at us and said that we can never be satisfied and he was done with us. Yes, we are not satisfied with the tile coming up. He just kept yelling at us and tried to blame us. My wife tried to calm him down to explain the problem and then he started yelling at my wife. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS OWNER YELLS AT A WOMEN. He said he would not fix the problem and he gave us $500 of the price so we can get someone else to fix it. So here we are spending thousands of dollars for tile and now we have to find a tile guy to fix his crappy job. We should've just gone with Home Depot. I can't imagine a store manager Yelling at a customer over them doing a bad job. read more

This was the second time my family has gone through Joe and his team at Carpeteria. I had previous work done prior to using Joe and was very unhappy with the work quality. I have to say, I regret trying to save a few pennies and should have gone with Joe with Carpeteria. His product quality is awesome, and his install team is top notch. Definitely would recommend!!!! read more

OMG...just finished our tile and all I can say is AMAZING!!! In a few weeks they will put in carpet throughout the house. The process from the very beginning has been great. Joe and Will helped us put together our ideas and were extremely patient. They even brought their tile installer, Ryan, over a few weeks before to make sure we were on the same page. read more

This company was great, the owner Joe was very knowledgeable on what color carpet to go with to match the wood flooring in the rest of the house. He helped me pick out the perfect match, and it also helped make the rooms look a lot bigger! I really think this will help me sell the house a lot faster having fresh carpet in the bedrooms. Their workers were very professional, on time and efficient. I would definitely recommend carpeteria to anyone trying to install new carpet to give their home that face lift it needs, Or if you just want fresh carpet for your family and little ones crawling around. Joe also be everybody else that I had a quote from by a few hundred dollars. I can't agree with any of the negative reviews, probably just a bad coincidence or very very picky. After all we don't live in Beverly Hills! Take care, DM read more

Carpeteria was Heaven sent! I contacted Joe on short notice and explained I was selling a property and needed carpet ASAP. I called three different flooring companies; I wasn't happy with any of them. I was about to give up until to found Carpeteria, they were very professional and friendly. Not to mention low prices. Joe and his crew were quick to install my carpet, but once it was down and the seam started to come up, he denied any responsibility for its repair. Joe's employee assured me there was an installation guarantee, and as such, the landlord of my building needed to sign the contract. I tried to obtain a copy of the contract for months but they weren't able to provide it to me. Joe stated he would only help me if I had extra carpet and the original contract, which I don't have because they never provided it. I'm currently in a dispute with my credit card company and Carperteria. I suppose the next step is to complain to the contractor board and the Better Business Bureau, because Joe's company makes promises they don't keep. The carpet was installed on 4/18/18. Pictures of the seams, 4 months later are provided. Also, be warned, the owner provided photos on Yelp are misleading. They are not actually representative of Carperteria's craftsmanship and can be found via Google image search. If I had known that the owner trolled Pinterest to find images for advertising purposes, I might have chosen another contractor. Don't use this company. The owner is extremely rude and will treat you terribly after he gets your money! Had to fight for a month to get them to fix the terrible job they did on the floor! This is the only reason they get two stars instead of one. The employees were nice, but couldn't answer any questions! They always just left a message for him and he never called. When I called his cell that HE gave me, he always said he was out of the office or was very rude and rushed me off the phone. Don't waste your time or money with this company! read more

Absolutely worst company we ever had do work in our home. It was a few years back and my late husband had to fight with them to fix all their screw ups. I remember how horribly incompetent, deceptive, and NASTY they were. They lied and kept adding additional costs TO FIX THEIR OWN MISTAKES! If you speak to the owner he will personally insult you. He is particularly nasty to women, but was also rude as hell to my late husband. The Berry laminate flooring they installed had a lifetime warranty BUT it is coming apart already. Another flooring company said it wasn't the laminate but the improper installation that made it not last. read more

First of all, after a long talk with Joe.. and him looking at his phone most of the time, we decided to go elsewhere -- The second time. I was under the impression that having done business with them before, we'd be familiar, or good to go? Yeah, right.. Once you look him up, Joe Glover is a felon. Now, I'm all for second chances, but this guy showed no concern on the sales floor. We dealt with Charles the first time, who is apparently at California Cabinets and Carpets now. It was just Joe and some guy on his laptop (JT? some acronym name.) The first time installation, we had tile installed we had a couple of guys smelling like bud/coorslight repeatedly go out to their truck for breaks. The grout issue came later. We argued with Joe that it should have been completed under the first contract, but he pulled some "oh we didn't account for the binding on the wall.." Which, you know, is supposed to be included in the ESTIMATE. And when we talked about carpet, we were quoted twice as high as home depot. Stay away from here at all costs. They don't care about you. read more

I had a vacancy in one of my units and the tenant had lived there for 7 years. I wanted to replace the carpet and tile over the linoleum. Absolutely LOVE our new carpet! Will was there to greet me on my first visit and gave me so much good information about carpet that I did not know as a newbie but it definitely helped when selecting what kind of carpet I wanted and the padding as well. The process was smooth, Joe was quick to come look at the house to get an estimate and we got scheduled within a week's time. They take credit card without charging an extra fee for it which was what we had been looking for. The day of installation, the team did an awesome job, they were able to get it all done in one day. It's amazing what a difference the new carpet makes to the overall feel to the house so we're very grateful to Carpeteria for making it happen and doing such a great job! read more
