Glossop Carpet Centre is not as big as some of the massive 'Carpet Worlds' and things that you will find. So if you have something exact and particular in mind that is going to be likely difficult to match in reality, try a bigger store. But the smaller selection of colours and textures that they have here is enough for most, non carpet savvy customers who just know roughly how they want the room to look. They have also thrown in a few mattresses and bed frames for good measure - figuring that if you are changing your carpet then you are likely going the whole hog.

This is another one of those ridiculously cheap shops that are always full to the brim with people scrambling over washing up liquid. Wholesale prices, and stacks and stacks of the same merchandise- you know the stuff. Washing machine tablets, kid's toys, random sunglasses. Try and find a time when its not too busy and you may have a semi-enjoyable shopping experience especially if you're looking for something obvious like deodorant. Otherwise, pay a visit to a shop that has a proper name, a proper remit and some form of order or atmosphere.
