But I'm an independent woman and at the moment its just me and my mum in our house. No men to do all these kind of jobs. So we have our own little tool box now - yes some of them have flowers on and were a present. But still. They can help you with the parts themselves, tools, how to do it, common pitfalls, what to do afterwards. Lifesavers but they don't have the range that say BnQ have as its a pretty small shop.

Yes, this Dunelm Mill has a cafe inside and it looks quite nice! Instead of aisles, the store is set up with the main aisle leading around the whole store... almost like IKEA, but not quite a maze like IKEA. I was quite impressed with the kitchen area, which I may have spent a lot of time in taking a look at all of the great gadgets and utensils I might need... or just plain want. This store has been great for our needs as far as setting up my boyfriend's new apartment. We even got some great, fluffy and cozy bath robes. Some items are quite inexpensive, but I couldn't find a "clearance" area (yes, I like to scout out the deals). There is a furniture area at the back of the store near the cafe, but it did look quite bare and it didn't look like there was a huge selection of furniture. It's the one with the garden world and cafe. I went into the store to purchase two very large and heavy plant containers. Being by myself I was unable to carry these. Despite the store being busy , two very helpful staff members came to not only help me, but bring the containers to the till area and kindly brought them and lifted them in my car. All the time they were doing this, they were also helping out other staff members and customers. They were polite, helpful and a credit to their employers. I feel that such positive and outstanding employees really do deserve some recognition , so much so that I spoke to the store manager, to praise the employees, she was aware of how great these two staff members were already and also created a nice atmosphere in the shop herself. The staff members I later learnt were called Greg and Jack L . Keep up the positivity, it's really refreshing. And thank you .

I like how this store is open late into the evening, which for night-owls like myself is ideal, they're open until 10 pm during the week, closing a little earlier on weekends. I did find the store to be both understaffed and untidy, the shelves were full of rubbish left by customers, including half-eaten food and empty cups, I understand this isn't the store's fault but it was just rather unpleasant, and with no staff members on the shop floor, it wasn't getting tied up to look more presentable. Again, a lack of staff on the shop floor meant I struggled to find what I was looking for. 4* - I like this HomeSense store better than their Manchester Arndale location, it is larger and has a nice range of stock, yet they could for sure improve the staffing levels and cleanliness around the store.

Home Sense's garden range is definitely worth taking note of, there are table and chairs in ice cream colours and last year I saw a stone table and bench which was absolutely divine and I still kick myself for not buying it. So I have versed you well Yelpers on the stock, now for the prices! This is one of the cheapest priced shops I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. It does the general diy stuff you'd expect with some gardening stuff, furniture, and a good selection of homeware such as crockery, bedding, and they do plenty of nice things to decorate the house. The best thing is if you sign up for a free spend and save card so every time you buy something, you get points and these add up to vouchers to use in store. Another bonus is that they have 10% off days quite frequently where everything, even reduced stuff has 10% off. We've dropped on some great savings here and often wait for these weekends to save money. Customer service is great here and if you need to return something you can do it without much trouble at all. All its missing is a coffee shop!

We headed down here as part of our current home improvement mission and it ticked a lot of boxes in terms of ease, knowledge of staff and generally was easy to get in and out of - with a large car park to the rear, just don't miss the sharp turning off the A6. They really are heavy on the Dulux and make sure you don't miss out on the upstairs which has loads of paint. The prices are good and this is where a lot of professional painters buy their stuff at trade prices, they'll also mix you up some colours in store if you need them to.

They young girl who appeared when we walked in was very useful especially since I was unsure of what colours I wanted. She could tell us about pretty much every single off-white paint there was and how it would dry. She talked me through everything I would need and made it very easy. I will definetly be buying my future paint investments from here.
