Have made multiple (over 10 calls) to David McMurray who was not responding to calls. At one point he stated someone would be here before dark, this was at 4:30PM. Finally he answered a call and said the job foreman was in Grants Pass. The branch manager was at the vets and would be over. Then he went on to say "he did not even work for the company!" RUN from this company, do not use them!!! They have no clue what they are doing. The roof was not leaking before the job was started, and now leaks all over the place and they won't respond to calls!!!

When speaking with the manufacturer's representative of the PVC sheeting company (Versico), he said everyone knows that you can't put PVC sheeting over asphalt as it will deteriorate within a year and that he did not like to see it happen and hated to say it but that we had gotten screwed. One roofing company we had stop by for a bid to replace the roof said they had never seen such a bad roofing job. There was much more wrong than just the PVC being on top of the tarred roof. Whenever we had concerns, we were gaslighted until we stopped explaining our concerns. We continually heard "take five roofers and you will get five different opinions" or "residential application is different than commercial application". Oregon Contractors Board's mediator worked out a deal between us in 2023.

He promised me he would have it completed by September 23rd, while I was out of town; yet, when I returned, the project had not been completed as promised and I was given some excuse about a heat wave that occurred on September 24th. His people eventually messed up the stain a week or so later. Next Shane told me he'd ordered a gel stain product I recommended via a Google search to find out how to fix that mess he'd made, but none of his employees knows where it is when they have come recently to try & complete the project. The Gel Stain had a requirement of 60 degrees or higher, which there have been numerous times he could have sent crews on weekends throughout this entire 10 1/2 months! He has not returned my texts or phone call messages today, which is typical that I have to chase him down to ask when we can reschedule. Then on rescheduled dates, if weather was slightly foggy in the morning, he canceled a couple times. Today was an absolute due date to his employee, Dave, who came out 2 weeks ago today to fix the sanding divots that were done also by Shane's employees. So, he's send 3 different crews to properly sand this deck in preparation for staining (after fixing all 7 of the bottom rails around the porch's decking; and breaking one of the pickets in the process, which he never replaced, so I have a gaping hole now out there, as well. I have kept track of all the weather and cancellations (I also cancelled once when high winds were expected a few weeks ago). This company has deprived me of the use and enjoyment of my front porch far too long. Oh, and he threatened to sue me for talking about this... Update: Allied finally finished the job in July 2017, a full year almost after contracting for that 3 day job. Just horrible ...

I wish I had found him sooner because my garage roof is the oldest and the moss damage is significant since there was inconsistent maintenance. Now I can at least stop the progression and preserve the value of my newer roof on the house. He gets the physical moss and dead stuff off, and the treatment prevents regrowth, without harming the surface which might be tricky when using pressure washer equipment. I'm not comfortable using a pressure washer on the roof and imagine you could really damage it without the right technique, and I don't know what chemicals are safe for my yard. His prices are fair too, so preserve your roof and hire Brightside.
