Imagine Daycare - Exterior on a rainy day

This is such a sweet little daycare! Sara (the owner) has such a loving, sweet vibe and is so…read moreknowledgeable about all things kids related. She has 6 of her own kids + at least one grand baby and ofc all the kids at her school. Imagine is what you'd expect to find in a super crunchy, granola home daycare. They hold and hug (and even kiss) the babies. But they're also very (very!) diligent about things like cleaning and following all safety guidelines (for example - they don't use drool bibs because they could be a safety hazard, and instead opt for soft washcloths). Imagine is split into two houses - one for (I think) ages 3-5, the other for babies to 3ish. Maybe 2ish, I can't remember for sure. I really like this because it allows the kids to play in the way that's safe and interesting to them. Older kids can play with balloons. Babies don't get exposed to choking hazards. And so on. There's lots of outside time, beautiful healthy food made from scratch, yoga, massage, tummy time (Molly from The Cocuun comes to give tummy time classes for the babies once a week - this is included in tuition), and I think there's a Spanish teacher that works with the kids too! They believe in natural consequences and teaching children to communicate even as babies. It's a very nurturing supportive environment and you can really feel how much they love the kids. I especially appreciate how picky Sara is about the teachers she hires. I know my baby is safe (and loved) there. The admin side could be improved (you may have to call or email multiple times to get a response), but the quality of care is more than worth it. Just remember that Sara teaches and does admin, so she's wearing a lot of hats and prioritizes the kids first, as she should. The pricing is very competitive. She accepts checks or Venmo. All in all this is a great place and we're so happy we got in!

They didn't give a really convincing reason. I also asked about better price for a veteran and disabled. Again, they didn't give me a convincing answer, other that it is just not offered. Why is this? Is this only a Bloomington, IN thing? It must be because the one in Spencer, IN does. But it is just to far to drive now. This is just another strike against Bloomington, IN.

What has pushed me over the brink is the broken elevator. The equipment i want to use is on the second floor. After over three weeks, no one has any idea when the elevator will be repaired. it is not the staff's fault. This is an administrative decision. The staff at both locations shrug their shoulders and inform the client with the response- we don't know when it will be repaired. When any of the other equipment was broken they have no response. The focus is on the healthy and not for people with disabilities.
