This is such a sweet little daycare! Sara (the owner) has such a loving, sweet vibe and is so…read moreknowledgeable about all things kids related. She has 6 of her own kids + at least one grand baby and ofc all the kids at her school. Imagine is what you'd expect to find in a super crunchy, granola home daycare. They hold and hug (and even kiss) the babies. But they're also very (very!) diligent about things like cleaning and following all safety guidelines (for example - they don't use drool bibs because they could be a safety hazard, and instead opt for soft washcloths). Imagine is split into two houses - one for (I think) ages 3-5, the other for babies to 3ish. Maybe 2ish, I can't remember for sure. I really like this because it allows the kids to play in the way that's safe and interesting to them. Older kids can play with balloons. Babies don't get exposed to choking hazards. And so on. There's lots of outside time, beautiful healthy food made from scratch, yoga, massage, tummy time (Molly from The Cocuun comes to give tummy time classes for the babies once a week - this is included in tuition), and I think there's a Spanish teacher that works with the kids too! They believe in natural consequences and teaching children to communicate even as babies. It's a very nurturing supportive environment and you can really feel how much they love the kids. I especially appreciate how picky Sara is about the teachers she hires. I know my baby is safe (and loved) there. The admin side could be improved (you may have to call or email multiple times to get a response), but the quality of care is more than worth it. Just remember that Sara teaches and does admin, so she's wearing a lot of hats and prioritizes the kids first, as she should. The pricing is very competitive. She accepts checks or Venmo. All in all this is a great place and we're so happy we got in!

We have been at BDLC for several months now and have loved it! Our 18 month old (who has the worst…read morekind of stranger danger instincts) absolutely loves his teachers and always comes home clean and happy. The teachers keep open communication with us, and always inform us if anything seems out of the ordinary about his behavior --- this has always proceeded mild sickness, so it was nice having the head's up! I also really appreciate the vegetarian menu provided for the kids. It has a wide variety of foods that include plenty of protein sources, fresh fruits/veggies, and grains. We're not vegetarian at home, so I am glad that he is exposed to this approach to food at school. He's also healthier than ever and growing perfectly according to our pediatrician, so it's obvious he's getting all the nutrition he needs :) Another thing I am particularly impressed with is the lesson plans provided by the teachers each month. They look creative and fun, but the best part is that I can tell that my kiddo actually learns from their activities! He always comes home having learned new skills, words, and games - he's even trying to count already! As much as I wish I could be at home 24/7 teaching him all these things, I am so comforted to know that he is in good hands at BDLC.

Even though our son is at the age where separation anxiety is strong, he has been happy there, and we are grateful for that. Our previous daycare experience was with a kind of "boutique" place (very expensive), and they were great, however we personally appreciate that at BDLC they're a little more relaxed--a little more of a family vibe. We also like the other families in the room and it was so cute how they had an open house for all of us to get to meet each other since our kids will be growing up together.

They don't keep kids out who are snotty, coughing, whatever as long as they don't have an official temperature. GROSS. And there are waaaaay too many kids per adult. 12-14 kids per 2 adults. Not enough attn and care can possibly be given individually to your child with this ratio. Not to mention this daycare had a outbreak of Hand, foot and mouth disease and we were NOT informed by them of this. We kept sending our son here and guess what? He came down with H,F,M,D. We have had to take him to the doctor 6 times for various things since he started going. Ear infections, cough and cold and then HFMD. Omg, this place should be shut down. If you care about your kids, find them another provider that prides itself on good hygiene and has the common courtesy to inform you of a outbreak of the grossest thing I've ever seen. He puked at first and then had diarrhea for 2 weeks. They apologized but that wasn't enough for me. If further action could be taken besides removing him, believe me it would've been done. unfortunately it seems daycares in this state are not well regulated and only the most serious complaints are investigated by the state cps.
