My daughter was at carolyns for a short time but while going there our experience was a nightmare. I brought my daughter to daycare ten minutes late for drop off, we had a hectic morning as we are in the middle of moving, I am 8 months pregnant, and have two other children. Upon arrival Carolyn opens the door and proceeds to yell at me infront of my child causing her to cry saying that it was unacceptable for us to be late to the care that WE pay for. When I inquired as to why bringing a two year old ten minutes late to daycare was disruptive (her words) she said that her class had just finished snack. Apparently at the end of snack time my daughter walking in would severely disrupt the other two year olds day. Against my better judgement I left only to receive a call from my husband two minutes later stating Carolyn had called him saying my daughter was 'filthy' with a full diaper needed to be bathed and was a mess and she would be documenting this. I immediately turned my car around went back and took photos of my daughter on the playground who was dressed in all clean clothes, including a BRIGHT WHITE skirt, clean pants, shirt, ect. When I confronted Carolyn she claimed her staff had 'cleaned her up'. Did I mention the staff on the playground watching 15-20 kids all looked to be 14-16 years old? I have photos from my daughter and son taking a bubble bath and covering the bathroom in soap from last night, as well as photos from them snuggling at breakfast in the morning and both children are completely immaculate with clean clothes freshly bathed. Maybe before making false accusations she should consider it's 2021 and everyone documents everything. I also recorded her yelling at me infront of my two year old for being ten minutes late (she states it's actually 15 in the video) so obviously this woman is completely unhinged and vindictive and I would not trust my child or anyone else's in her care. read more

With all of the choices available for daycare in Chittenden County I suggest you steer clear of this facility. I was referred to them since my child had ADHD & needed a more therapeutic environment but the constant turnover of staff& impatience of the director was counter productive . With less than a week's notice we and several other families were asked to find alternate childcare immediately. Very unfair and unkind for a child who struggles with transition . Think twice before enrolling your child here. It may look neat and clean and very well put together, but it's the owner you have to worry about. Besides the crazy amount of money you fork up, you will soon learn that they keep kids locked in one classroom all day with one outside break. Two year olds need to run around and have the space to do so. Also, when a child bites or hits, they will keep them secluded and put a chew toy in their mouth. The best part about this place is how the owner will take your money for a weeks tuition, then boot your kid out. She doesn't want normal active two year olds, she wants zombie medicated children. The first chunk of change you give this crook includes a reg fee and two weeks tuition. One week tuition is saved for your childs last week at the center. This woman will take your money then kick your kid out and not give you your money back. Then when you try for months to get in touch with her, she ignores you. So beware of this money hungry unethical daycare. Just say no. read more
