I'll be honest, I was a bit nervous when I gave $600 over the phone for five two-hour lessons…read more Luckily, this school is legitimate. Not only is it legitimate, but the lessons were extremely helpful. Paul was an excellent, kind, and professional instructor (he works for Steve, the owner of the company). One thing I would like to see: confirmation receipts in the email, as well as text alerts for driving lessons. That being said: they will call when they arrive. The car is superior to most other driving schools' cars in Reno (it's a Suburu Outback with all the safety features). It has active warning systems, is probably better in the event of an emergency crash (hopefully doesn't happen), and is comfortable. I'd recommend these people strongly. Oh, and they'll actually pick up their phone after 4pm. That's a nice touch - which is why I went with them, versus their competitor who lied on their website and said they were open until five.

At first, I thought this was a great school. I enjoyed the lessons and passed the course with…read moreease. My problem came afterwards, when I repeatedly contacted the school, asking them to send evidence of my passing to the DMV. They said they had; but well over a month has gone by since I completed the course and as of yesterday the DMV had received nothing from the school, neither by mail nor by fax (which I requested). So now I must fax my own copy of my Certificate to them.

We have really appreciated Triad School for our older child, who is now finishing up her second…read moreyear there. We are sending our other child to this school this fall. One of the biggest advantages to us of Triad is the educational model, where for core subjects students are moved to the academic level that best suits them. For example, math is at the same hour for the entire school, so a child who is more advanced or needs more help can float to the level and small group that best suits them. This happens very seamlessly and (as far as I can tell) without stigmatizing students. Small group assignments can shift quite easily as needs change. Not having to spend time and energy advocating for just the right amount of challenge for my child is huge. The curriculum is varied, including Spanish, science, art, social emotional learning, PE, and a theater-like session with Kidscape. The physical campus has nice classrooms that each has some slightly different nice features. The outdoor area is not huge but is well maintained and seems adequate for the size of school. The teachers are really engaged and design interesting class material. As an example, my child (who is in one of the younger grades) is currently working on a year-end research project of a major public figure, using both reading and video material to learn more about this figure. This is a culmination of progress made this year in reading and social studies. My child will also get practice in synthesizing and presenting real-world information to her class. Another example is in PE, which could easily be cursory and boring. Instead, the teacher varies the PE curriculum. She used the winter Olympics as a way to create games mimicking different athletic events, which my child enjoyed so much even though she is really not a sports lover. The staff (such as the director and the main admin as the main individuals who interface with the parents) are smart and capable. Interacting with them always makes me think my kids are in good hands. As a non-academic example, my child has some severe food allergies, and all the teachers (not just her homeroom teacher) are great about alerting me ahead of time about any food being offered in the classroom. So there is clearly a policy about this and it's adhered to. Bottom line, my experience has been that Triad is a well-run and organized school that offers excellent, well-rounded programming and has been a great fit for my child. My child truly loves school and really hates when she has to miss due to the occasional illness. I'm hopeful we will have as great of an experience with our (very different) other incoming child!

It's a good school with kind and smart teachers. The class are small and the kids get a more…read morecustomized learning experience in a supportive environment.
