They essentially double-billed me for cleaning, plus added random charges that had nothing to do with damages or tenant responsibility. It is clear that this management relies on unfair deductions from security deposits as a business practice. After sending a certified letter demanding the return of my security deposit, I was told an electronic refund was not possible, then told a paper check "had to be cut," and instructed I could pick it up -- only for the deposit to be sent electronically the next day anyway. The explanations were contradictory and confusing. The agent handling my refund later admitted she was new and still learning the software, but the broker‑in‑charge is responsible for supervising new licensees and ensuring compliance with South Carolina landlord‑tenant law. Based on my interactions, in my opinion there appears to be a pattern of poor communication, inconsistent information, and inadequate supervision.
