Went here for the 1st time on Monday June 22nd 2026 with my aunt and mom. Note this review is 5-4 stars. So many people may ask- what is Carolina Pottery-- I would call it a home store that has floral arrangements, pictures, outdoor furniture, wine, kitchen supplies, decor items, and plenty more! It is quite a big store and located at the Tanger outlets on 501. Because this is a mall, we found plenty of parking and parked. Walked in and within 5 minutes saw a canvas sunflower picture! I was excited because I've been looking for something like that, and never found it in any of the other furniture stores! So then I grabbed a wagon, and put it in the wagon. Oh, and they already had fall/halloween/christmas stuff out already. Why do retail stores rush this kind of stuff? Anyways store was clean and organized. What i also loved about this store is that they had plenty of selection of color items like if you need a red candle holder- guess what, they have it! Even their wall hangings are more colorful, and have colors that pop. My mom also found a blue whale and green turtle. The only thing about this store is that the prices can be expensive- like 60.00 for a fourth of july/american flag for the garden. When we were done, we went to the cashier. Cashier was pleasant, and we paid via credit card- 35.00 for the sunflower picture, and in total we spent 61.53. Oh, and i noticed at the register- there are pictures of people, and then the words Jailed with a smiley face. While it is good that they condemn stealing, and that definitely might deter from-- a responsible paying customer doesn't need to see that. Also while we were shopping, there was hardly anyone in the store, as far as customers. If one hasn't been there, highly suggest to check the store out, especially if you like items with color! didn't realize how much this store has. If only I was looking to redecorate a home or even a room. This place is definitely the place to check out. From gadgets to pottery and wall hangings. I'm not sure I saw all of it. I hope it survives the slow down because this place is a shop I will return to. They had only a few customers in the store which was concerning. This store is huge and loaded with all things for decorating your home. It was so much fun to walk around and look at all that they had to offer. We were delighted to find rubber spatulas with wooden handles for $1.99 each. They only had two. Kristin said to call back in a few days and she would let us know if they had more delivered; which we will certainly do. She was so nice and helpful. read more

This place is really a joke!! Let's see, rude unwelcoming employees chatting with phones. No help . Empty shelving. Unorganized WAYWAY overpriced can't express this enough. NO quality products. Geared, I assume, to tourist victims to over pay. Older lady register worker was NOT friendly felt I was bothering her with my 1 purchase , as she was chatting with coworkers. In addition, I asked if she knew if there was X store in the outlets and she shook her head repeatedly before I got the question out. I have been going to Carolina Pottery since I was little. I always loved going in the store. I am a grandma now and I still enjoy shopping at the store. I like the large selection of items. The staff is always polite and helpful. Keep up the great work. read more

All the years I've been coming to Myrtle Beach this was the first time coming here. My mom actually wanted to go and boy was I glad. Little of everything in there. We were in there for a couple hours. There is so much to see!! Yard items, house decor, kitchen stuff, etc. it was great. read more

TBH, I don't get this place. It's not really a department store, as several important departments would be missing. It's not really a discount store like the Christmas Tree Shop or Olde Time Pottery, given the prices. Garden and yard art, home décor, picture frames, pillows, beach stuff, soup to nuts for making floral arrangements and wreaths, kitchen / food service stuff, and...wine??? Wine aside, the closest comparison I can come up with is Hobby Lobby, minus all of the craft stuff that isn't in the floral department and minus the Supreme Court ruling. Yeah. Odd. How are there five of these in SC again? Maybe the little DiY bridal section? I dunno. Décor, signs, etc., heavily skewed toward beachy themes (at least at this location), understandably. The Christmas décor on my visit was minimal, though present - one big display with a beachy tree. Nothing over the top or too stinky. Prices on some items were, frankly, stunning. 30$ for a four inch mass-produced ceramic plant pot, for example? Really? There were a few items that had great style, but between the mass-produced in China quality, the discount store feel of the place, and the pricing, I had better things to buy with my vacation budget. Spent 23$ on supplies from the floral department that are probably common locally, but that I can't get in the 'middles'.. **Though I don't usually review this sort of spot after one visit, I'm doing so to document the impact of one fairly off-grid tourist, traveling without family, just to make an HB2 related point** Big, clean, easy to find your way around, but all in all, I guess I just don't get why on earth one would want to. read more

Imagine a store filled with crafts, knick knacks, random furniture and home furnishings. Now imagine half of that store is Christmas themed, complete with the requisite breath taking (literally...I couldn't breathe) cinnamon and other scents of the season. Imagine that the Dollar Store, Garden Ridge, and Big Lots had a threesome and this was the love child. But instead of following in the moderately trashy footsteps of it's parents, it want to college and got an associates degree and as a result justified marking the products up, to a sometimes ridiculously inflated price. Yup...that's this place. It's just not my thing, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who absolutely dig this place. read more

A fun store for anyone - with a wide variety of merchandise. Some items appeared to be be a little overpriced, but most items seemed to be reasonably priced. Clean store and had fun looking around at what they had. Seasonal items, gardening items, patio chair cushions and lots pillows, kitchen ware, home decor decorations, framed pictures, and a variety wines and snacks. Store of cheap odds and ends! This place is huge!! Like a warehouse full of random crap haha. But who doesn't love endless aisles of random dust collectors? It's all so cool to look at! They offer indoor and outdoor items to fit your needs - glassware, patio furniture, kitchen supplies, table linens, art work, rugs, baskets, and so so much more! Too expensive, cheap items you can find anywhere else for way better prices. It's a huge store, but looks empty. It's a bunch of bland stuff that doesn't have any sort of unique feel like you're getting a diamond in the rough. Stick with old time pottery if you want variety and good deals, come here if you want uniformed boring pieces. I love Carolina Pottery, if you are looking for beach items and sovineres come here, skip Eagles and those places, you will find much better things here. I find them to be reasonable on most items I was looking for and bought a lot of items. I could spend hours in this store so much to see! This one is a little thrown together compared to the one in Smithfield NC, but I still enjoyed shopping here for beachy decor items. read more

Love the store and the employees were great. Even dog friendly and it doesn't get any better than that
