I looked at the owner's website www.camp-ruff.com which describes their facility as a "lux camp" for dogs and puppies. I was intrigued and called for an appt to view the property and see the operations. I was met by the Camp Director/Owner, a delightful, sincere woman named Lucinda. She greeted me and my dog and proceeded to show me the camp home, which is divided into sections based on the needs and behaviors of the various dogs she was boarding. She listened to my description of my dogs needs, habits and observed her to judge how she would behave w other dogs. One by one she let a dog out from the house, where they have their "sleep over", cautiously to see what my dog would do. As the animals were about my dog's size everyone seemed to accept each other. Great news! Lucinda decided to take the next step by taking my dog w the small pack for some exercise on the trail in the woods behind the house. The dogs were running around having a great time which relieved my anxiety that my dog might not like to be off leash but she was running and getting some great exercise and learning to enjoy the pack mentality. No fighting or misbehaving, perfect! Lucinda works tirelessly to pamper the pooches morning and night. Morning feedings, evening feedings, medications and always careful observations of the pets. They all sleep like happy babies when the day ends in a real home environment. Prices are in line and reasonable I think for an overnight stay of $44 including feeding, walking, playtime and careful observation by someone who is highly qualified and very knowledgeable of pet behavior. All animals come in contact w other pets only when owner has documentation for boarding such as rabies vaccination, bordetello. This place is a well thought out and safe place to leave your precious pet while you are away. So relax, they got your back!

So I said...so you're upset that I called 3 times and left messages about availability, then on the 4th day of no return calls to me, I texted you to see if you were still in business. THEN, you finally call me , 4 days later and say you are booked up on the days I asked for that are 5 months away. REALLY... She said, well we feel its best you find another kennel, and we can't drop everything we are doing to answer your calls. Im really not understanding how she runs a business like this. I told her that I just referred 2 people to her kennel in June, and she going to treat me like this, my messages weren't mean or hateful at all. I just asked for a certain date and asked if they had availability. She said, well thank you for the referrals......ARE YOU KIDDING ME! THIS IS POOR OWNERSHIP RIGHT HERE. She was extremely petty and rude. And come to find out, she wasn't booked for December at all. I had another friend call 2 days later and they had plenty of spots available. REALLY!!!

This makes the 3rd vet we have been to for treatment of the same issue. This is the very first time where they attempted to find the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I felt listened to and respected as a pet owner, like my concerns were actually taken into consideration, and we were offered not only solutions; but explanations as to why the problem may be occurring in the first place. We never felt like we were being persuaded to purchase anything unnecessary or upsold on anything. Everyone we interacted with here, from the initial phone call to the office visit, was beyond friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our dog was the most comfortable she has been in any hospital setting! She has been through some trauma, so it's really a big statement to say that she was more calm than usual. I'm very excited to have discovered this place and I can't recommend them enough! Awesome first time experience at Forsyth Vet Hospital. I called to make an appointment and everyone…read morewho I talked to were friendly and professional. I was able to be seen on the same day. The process of the curb side appointments was explained to be very clearly and in detail. Upon arrival I called to notify I was outside. Within minutes a tech came out to ask follow up questions regarding my cat visit. I provided all the meds and supplements that I give my cat and everyone was extremely patient and explained in detail that what I was giving my cat was good. After my cat was seen, Dr William Dawkins explained what he found in my cat. He was very friendly and explained everything. He was not pushy or giving me unnecessary recommendations of what to do with my cat. Dr only stated a few things to keep an eye on, but said not to worry about at this time. He was very patient in answering all my questions. When my cat was brought back out to my car, her medicine was explained in detail on how to administer it and answered all my questions. All in all I was impressed with the level of professionalism and friendliness from all the staff at this hospital. Everything was a simple process and I was in and out. Highly recommend!
