The entire purchase process was handled by Ellie S. and she's been more than a pleasure to work with. I finally attended my first game after being a fan since they were introduced as an upcoming expansion team in 1993. The season home opener 30-0 victory over our division rivals the Atlanta Falcons was awesome. Couldn't have asked for a better day to meet face to face and talk about options. Objectively, the Carolina Panthers have been mediocre since joining the NFL in 1995. They're currently in the bottom third of the 32-team league all-time in win percentage. Subjectively, the Panthers are my No. 2 team behind the Atlanta Falcons. I was born and raised in North Carolina and still remember my classmates and I talking on the school bus about Kerry Collins vs. Brett Favre in the 1997 NFC Championship Game. The Green Bay Packers beat the Panthers, 30-13, in Green Bay and would go on to win Super Bowl XXXI (1996 season). It was only the Panthers' second season and it seemed like everyone in the state was excited. Dom Capers, the coach of the Panthers that year, was named NFL Coach of the Year. As I wrote in my review for the Jacksonville Jaguars (https://www.yelp.com/biz/jacksonville-jaguars-jacksonville), the Panthers are still among the four newest teams in the league along with the Jaguars (1995), Baltimore Ravens (1996), and Houston Texans (2002). Among these four teams, only the Ravens have won the Super Bowl (they did it twice). Compared to their fellow 1995 expansion team, the Jaguars, and the newer Texans, the Panthers are the only team of the three to have made it to the Super Bowl (twice). After the 1997 NFC Championship Game (1996 season), the next time the Panthers made it to the playoffs, they made it to the Super Bowl: Super Bowl XXXVIII. That was in 2004 (2003 season). The Panthers made it as an 11-5 Wild Card team and narrowly lost, 32-29, to the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick New England Patriots dynasty. At that time, the Panthers were coached by John Fox. Fox later led the Denver Broncos to Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 (a loss to the Seattle Seahawks). The 2003-04 Panthers had Jake Delhomme as the QB, Muhsin Muhammad and Steve Smith as the wideouts, and Stephen Davis as the RB1. Panthers defensive end and North Carolina grad Julius Peppers, an eventual nine-time Pro Bowler, was only in his second NFL season. Fox led the Panthers to the NFC Championship Game again just two years later. The Cam Newton-Ron Rivera era began in 2011. After going 2-14 in Fox's final season (2010), the Panthers hired Rivera and drafted college football national champion Newton with the first overall pick in the 2011 draft. Newton was NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. The following year, the Panthers drafted Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly with the ninth overall pick in the 2012 draft. Kuechly was NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He followed that up by winning NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2013. Rivera, Newton, and Kuechly led the Panthers to three straight NFC South championships from 2013 to 2015. Those division titles culminated in the franchise's second Super Bowl appearance in 2016's Super Bowl 50 (2015 season). Rivera won the NFL Coach of the Year Award two of those three years (2013, 2015) and Newton won the NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year Awards in 2015. Needless to say, these were good years in Charlotte. As NFL fans may recall, Super Bowl 50 is where Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset a two-time Super Bowl champion. The Denver Broncos defeated the Panthers, 24-10. Since Super Bowl 50, Carolina has only had one winning season. One of my friends likes to make fun of teams that hire former Temple coaches because they don't have much success. The Panthers are entering year three with Matt Rhule at the helm. Rhule was the head coach at Temple from 2013 to 2016. In his first two seasons at Carolina, Rhule has gone 10-23 (.303). My favorite college football team, Georgia Tech, hired Rhule's successor, Geoff Collins. In his first three seasons at Tech, Collins has gone 9-25 (.265), but I digress. read more

It's my favorite team... how else am I supposed to rate them? Even though right now is a time of change and uncertainty, I'm glad to see the owner, David Tepper, recognized that it was necessary. Ron Rivera is a great guy, but he'd peaked in Charlotte, and it was time for new blood. I'm cautiously optimistic about Rhule and his staff, but until I see how the team functions and rallies behind them, it's tough to get over-excited. I am going to miss seeing Luke Kuechly and Greg Olsen next season though. While I absolutely understand and support their retirements, they are two players that no fan or team ever really wants to say goodbye too. I wish them nothing but the best, and I'm sure both of them will find themselves in the ring of honor in no time. I look forward to 2020 and seeing a hopefully healthy Cam Newton with a new offensive minded coach take this team to new heights! read more

I have been a Panthers fan since 1995. And I can't believe I have never written a Yelp review about my absolute favorite NFL team. I love the Panther Stadium no doubt about that at all, I truly appreciate all the recent upgrades that they have done to the stadium over the years. I've had the privilege of being able to sit in almost every different section with in the stadium. I have sat in the 500s, silver seats, box level, lower level, gridiron, Toured the stadium multiple times. I even touched the field, so to say I'm a fan and I love my team is an understatement. One huge food recommendation that I would make regarding one of my favorite stadium the treats would be the barbecue nachos. Long before they did the upgrades the nacho chips used to be a lot more crunchy or even if you had a ton of cheese on it and the cheese is on there for a long period of time. Obviously you see I get these quite often so I know them very well, so this would be something that I would suggest that the Carolina Panthers routine go back to. The chips used to be a lot more crunchy and a lot more harder with flavor as well. I will say recently during the December 29, 2019 game as we close out our 25th anniversary the stadium offered 25% off of food and merchandise. That was awesome being able to get all your favorite treats for a discounted price. The stadium should do that more often maybe like the first game, middle game, and then the very last game of the season. It's been a long time since 2003/2004 when the Panthers went to the Super Bowl. The Cardiac Cat's made a huge move on 12/22/13 when they took down the Saints 17-13 to take control of the NFC South. With 55 seconds remaining, Cam lead the Cats on a 65 yard scoring drive. Key receptions by Tedd Ginn & Greg Olsen leading to a clutch catch by Domenick Hixson for the go ahead score. They always get so out of breath, this team. Hence their name: Carolina Panters. First-Hand Experience: I've seen the Panthers beat up on the Jags and I've seen them lose to the Falcons at home. So both extremes really. I've seen them live twice and they had a good crowd but not such a good team and coach to be honest. Kudos to the Panthers stadium now having escalators. My first game here was in 2009 so when I attended the Carolina vs. Philly game last night for Sunday Night Football I was glad we didn't have to haul up several levels of stairs or ramps to get to our section . I don't personally care to spend $4 on bottled water that I can't screw the top back on, yes you read that correctly. When you buy your drinks now they keep the bottle caps because fans have been throwing them on the field. I'm also not of a fan of the basic stadium hot dogs , burgers , or overpriced bojangles food here , but I guess that's the pretty standard stadium food . All in all , I liked the cleanliness of the stadium , the restrooms were nicely maintained , and the staff are helpful and cheerful . read more

I would love to see this team develop an intense rivalry with another team within the division. Currently the south's main rivalry is the Falcons vs Saints. However, based on distance, why can't it be the Falcons vs Panthers? Distance wise, proximity - Charlotte to Atlanta is a hop skip and a jump from each other on 85! I will get into that aspect another time. The Carolina Panthers since inception have been a solid NFL franchise. When I think of the Panthers from the start of its existence, I think of that solid defense in the 90s. Going from there, it's Jake leading the helm and was very close to a superbowl victory. It's a franchise on the rise though. They have the weapons in place on offense to do some damage, the question is can they stay healthy and attack well on defense. I kind of wish them luck as long as it isn't against my team. Grade: C read more

I'm from Pittsburgh originally. My gramp took me to Steelers games when I was a kid and they ruled throughout the 70s like no NFL team. Coming to Charlotte in 1989, I was hit by Hurricane Hugo and there was no NFL team... bummer. So, when the Panthers were announced as an expansion team, I became an instant fan and have been ever since. I invented the Arm Of Harm (now in it's 20th year) and it has been a great avenue to many exciting events, including the first Monday Night Football game with my son with seats in the Silver Club on the 50 yard line, just beneath the broadcast booth where Al, Frank and Dan called the game against the 49ers in 1997. Walking through the portal into the lit up 1-year-old, state-of-the-art stadium with my son was a magic moment. I've been to BOFA stadium many times since. I've sat in the nosebleed sections, the end zones, the 100s section and the 50 yard line silver club sections with great views of the City and the Field. Every seat was a good one and every experience was a great one. The Panthers organization is first class, from Sir Purr to the TopCats to the Players, coaches and staff and, especially the owner, Jerry Richardson. This is our second appearance at the Big Game and it's the Golden Anniversary Game, Super Bowl 50. This is AS GOOD AS IT GETS. We'll be at the Rally to send off the Carolina Panthers from Charlotte, NC to SB50 in San Fran... FTW!! Uptown Charlotte is one of the best cities in the USA. You guys came pretty close to beating the Patriots. Currently the best thing about this organization is you guys have Cam Newton. This past weekend I went to the ACC Championship with my brother and our sons. This was my son's 14 birthday gift. Overall the staff at the food vending areas were wonderful to deal with. The staff I saw walking around were answer questions and were friendly. At the end of the game there was a trophy ceremony for the Clemson Tigers. We stayed to see the ceremony and get a photo, or at least see, our favorite Clemson player. We were there with several hundred other Clemson fans. As soon as the trophy passed hands to the coach we were told to leave by two employees. They said the event was over and that they wanted to go home. Keep in mind the players and coaches were still on the field. So I question how the event was " over". We I questioned the employee about why we had to leave. I told him that we have been to numerous championships and bowl games and have stayed to see the team. He said the event was over and we had to go. My son and I ended up leaving, after being threatened by the police. My brother stayed for almost another half hour because he was told he could stay and get the photos by a different employee. Last time I go to the stadium for anything. I will put my money into better bowl game seats, better seats at Clemson games or maybe better tires on my car. We are a 20 plus year season ticket holder for Clemson who has gone to a lot of bowl games, ACC Championship games and other events at this stadium. Never have we been treated so poorly. Be Ready to Discard your purse if it is larger than a wristlet!!! Yes, instead of going thru your bag or having you dump the contents into a plastic bag you have to either throw out your handbag or walk it back to the car. If your purse is expensive or you parked a 1/2 mile away you are out of luck. I realize it is for security but by dumping the contents in plastic and being wanded should be enough. You are already paying hundreds for the tickets and between $10-20 for parking. What do they do with all the handbags in the garbage? I hope they are at least donated to people in need. read more

I've been to a few games and it's always the same. Expensive tickets, expensive parking and concessions. Lines for getting in, bathrooms and concessions. It's usually hot and the seats are cramped. You always have to deal with drunk jerks and even if you report it they will monitor while someone bumps you in the head and insults you. There's just no appeal anymore. read more

It's one thing for a team to fall on rough times, but the Panther's have become a running joke. For the last two seasons their best weeks have been the byes. At least they don't lose those ones. I don't know a single person who holds out hope that next season (or any season in the foreseeable future) will be more than a complete wreck. There are still Panthers fans around, but the team's multitudinous failures makes it impossible for new residents to get behind their dysfunctional franchise. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My husband and I traveled to visit family in North Carolina and decided to get away for a night at a Patriots vs. Panthers game. We should have stayed home. I breastfeed, so in order for me to leave my infant son at home and be able to enjoy life away from him, I need to pump. This hasn't been an issue the 10 months he's been alive living in the boston area. Almost everyone i've come across in the New England area has always gone out of their way to accommodate my lactation needs. Not the Bank Of America Stadium. Honestly, it's easier getting through TSA than it is to get into the stadium. Walking up to the Stadium, I was told I wasn't going to get in because my bag was bigger than a wristlet. OK - Well "I'm a lactating mother, I need to pump, I'm sure they will make an exception" WRONG! I was given a see through bag to put my pump in, how embarrassing, and was told to either throw my bag out or bring it back to the car. We finally make it into the stadium after countless ignorant employees stopped me to inspect my pump. SERIOUSLY has no one down south seen a breast pump?? I get up to the suite and i get told from almost every check point there is a family room that is basically a "lactation" room and I'll be able to pump. Finally it's time to pump and I decided instead of taking up the bathroom in our suite, I'll go to the lactation room and pump. I get sent all over the place (which takes an hour) until I finally get an elevator attendant who says the lactation room does not exist and that it's just a family bathroom that I'll have to wait in line for. IM NOT PUMPING IN A BATHROOM. I finally pump - after missing over an hour of the game we decided to leave at half time. I literally got stopped at every checkpoint to have someone check my bag because there was a bottle in it. I've never been surrounded with so many ignorant people. Even if I had free tickets, I would choose to stay home and watch the game on TV and pump from my couch. :) This place is definitely not mommy friendly. read more

A resident of the Charlotte Metro Area for over 9 years, yet I had never seen the Panthers live until now. It's definitely a different experience than watching from your couch! I'd recommend everyone go to a game at least once. There's a tier of excitement that one cannot experience on TV. The buzz of the crowd is unyielding. You get to see all of the action without pesky commercials and you have the backdrop of the city skyline to boot. The stadium is pretty much what you'd expect. Typical food, fanfare, and gear available for purchase. Get your hotdog, beer, jersey, etc. while in route to the bathroom or back to your seat. The club level offers a more exclusive lounge area with somewhat shorter concession lines, but don't expect any gourmet pretzels. Of course the pricing is insane and the selections are limited. The only Gatorade offered is "Ice Blue," as it most closely resembles the team color. If you don't like crowds, brace yourself. The security checkins are elbow to elbow and are required for entry. Dump the contents of your pockets and get waved by the magic wand before making your way to your seat(s). Another plus here is the people watching factor. You're sure to see all types of people at any game. I'll leave it at that and let you see for yourself. Prepare to be potentially smacked in the face by someone's swirling fan towel or have your chair kicked numerous times by the bratty 8 year old in the seat behind you. I LOVE my Panthers, and have been attending their games since I was a high schooler and my parents bought PSLs in '95. I would love to rate them 5 stars based solely on being a fan. THAT SAID. We have fallen on some hard times. I know there are a lot of Northern transplants into the Carolinas (NC in particular) and a lot of people are still loyal to other teams. However, it is depressing going to games and seeing more people dressed in other jerseys than there are Panthers jerseys! Every team has its ups and downs. We have had our fair share of downs, but that is to be expected as one of the youngest (player age AND franchise age) teams in the league. My 3 star rating has nothing to do with the team itself. I love my team. However I am a bit embarrassed by the ownership situation. Hearing rumors that they already want a new stadium (ours is only 15 years old and really, what have you done to deserve it?) and adding in the fact that we introduced the whole PSL scam, thereby assuring profits to Jerry R and eliminating any need for him to provide a decent product, is an embarrassment that is only lightly tamped by the fact that other teams have started to follow our (terrible) example and treat their fans just as badly. Also, requiring any kid over the age of 12 months to purchase their own ticket? RIDICULOUS. Even 500-level tickets are $60-70. Many 1-year-olds can't even WALK, do you really think they need an entire seat? Their parents are going to end up holding them. I took my son to his first Panthers game when he was 2 months old. At the time the ticket age was 2 years. Now it is 12 months. WTF is that. Instead of moving in an anti-fan direction, we should do the opposite. See all those empty seats every week? Why not implement a BOGO instead. For every adult ticket sold, one child aged 8 or under gets in free until the stadium is full. Bragging about a "91 game consecutive sellout" streak is a joke when a quarter of the seats are empty at the start of the game. This is the time to build our fan base for the future, and that means starting with the kids, not ripping off a bunch of older PSL owners in the middle of this terrible economic situation. read more

My nephew, Cam Bryson suffered from Melas Syndrome which they are born with (b may 12, 1998) but he was diagnosed in 2010. MELAS is a rare genetic disorder which results in stroke and dementia. MELAS is an abbreviation that stands for Mitochondrial Encephalopathy, Lactic acidosis, and Stroke-like episodes. Bryson only had one request and that was to hang with Cam in his final days. Well it must be The Carolina Panthers don't care for their Fans or their PSL OWNERS!!! They are in fact trying to STEAL my Paid for PSL tickets!!! This is REAL the Carolina Panthers are trying to stomp on the LITTLE guy[Me]. To make a long story short... I'm 34 now but, my Mother and I have not had a great life together. Just in the last 2 years has she even had anything to do with me. She lives close to Charlotte. So I have taken her to a few home games over the previous two years. She loved it so much this february she called and offered to pay for a set of PSLs for me.[ She would pay the psl cost if I paid the season ticket cost] So after a little of personal debate I decided to go ahead and get a set and try it out.[I've been wanting PSLs since 1995] The Carolina Panthers Account manager told me it would be no problem If I needed to cancel because I couldn't afford them by my self.[after that statement, it was the ONLY reason I went ahead and bought them] Sure enough after just two months my mom stopped paying for the PSL costs. After a couple months of fighting with her to get her to pay. I gave up the fight [it was stressing me out not being able to pay] and tried to cancel my PSL Account before the season. They told me it was too late because they were already preparing the ticket packages and I needed to keep up the psl payments till the end of the season or I would LOSE all the money I paid towards the season tickets [I had already paid in full]. So I obliged them and kept paying till the end of the season. Meanwhile I run across a once in a lifetime offer for some psls for next to nothing on the internet.[keep in mind I already know I can't afford the PSL payments by my self] I had been working pools all summer and saved up some money and had the cash on hand to pay for them in full! So I bought them because this was the only way I could afford to ever have some PSLs! Fast forward to this month as I try to cancel out of my PSL payment account with them. I gave them all the proper paper work to cancel out of the account. I even gave seat numbers etc. everything they asked for. Now here is the kicker!! The Account Manager [I will leave him anonymous at this time] called me yesterday. Saying they couldn't Cancel out of my PSL payment account. THE REASON??!! I own two other seats and If I cancel out of the PSL payment account they would be confiscating MY other PSLs that I have paid for in FULL!!! I ask how they could take something I paid for in full?! He couldn't give me a straight answer! So let me get this straight for one year of usage of these psl seats in witch I have already paid 4,000.00 towards the psls and season tickets!! But they are not ahead enough yet? WOW how could a multi billion dollar company stomp on the little guy like this??!! PLZ like and Share my story!! More people need to know this type of stuff is happening to the little people in this world by a big company like the CAROLINA PANTHERS!! read more

It was nice as usual, with one exception: they didn't allow ANY PURSES or bags unless they are clear, yet there were no signs or information warning about this until you got to the doors. A bit of a pisser for A LOT of people. read more

I'm eating the Carolina Panthers Gift shop. The first day I went the box office agents didn't give us good directions on how to get to the store being that we were visitors. I never found the store. She kept saying around the corner it's very close by. Yeah it wasn't close by around the corner. Anyhow it was closed by then. Next day I finally got proper direction from the parking lot security. They have parallel parking in front of the store. Female Sales associate just pointed to the front of the store to show me the teen sized items. I must've looked lost because the cashier came over to me and actually showed me all of the teen selections and he deserves five stars. He was super friendly And very helpful. And I must say being that the store is at the stadium their prices amazed me. It wasn't a rip off at all. And excellent quality clothing. I got my son a Nike dri fit shirt for $9.99. I was shocked. Too bad the stadium wasn't open for a sneak peek. read more

I love everything about the bank of America stadium and the carolina panthers. They have installed an escalator , instead of walking up the walkways to the 500 sections which makes it easier coming and leaving. Theres really not a bad seat in the stadium even in the 500s you still have a great experience. Go Panthers !!! read more
