Mr. Miguel, the owner/instructor is also very caring and involved with his students. For both Halloween and Christmas he arranges a trunk or treat or party there at the studio for the kids and parents to interact and get to know each other. He promotes unity among us all. My little girl is only six and is part of their mini class, the older more advanced girls, there at the studio are coached to be encouraging and supportive of the little ones. They act as buddy's during competition days. This is a huge help and relief for us moms. He also invites and encourages all parents and students to go out to dinner or lunch as a team during comp days to mingle and celebrate everyones achievements. Its wonderful because the dancers get to interact and have fun with each other in a social environment. Their competition team is amazing and doing great things. He offers an unlimited membership and a great variety of classes focusing on techniques and strengthening. Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Flexibility, Tumbling, Conditioning, Turns & Leaps, to name a few. A dance camp during the summer for all levels M-F 10am-5pm. My little girl has been a student for over a year now and I wouldn't go elsewhere. She continues to learned so much and enjoys going to class. Mrs. Carla is another wonderful instructor that my little girl has really come to love. She helped her through her first competition season with private lessons and lots and lots of words of encouragement!! For a little one who was 5 at the time and sometimes felt the jitters and sometimes struggled through conditioning a little extra love, support, and encouraging words was more than helpful it was a must and Mrs. Carla did exactly that. She came home so proud and full of smiles after a compliment or a pat on the back from her instructor. Thank you AIM for a memorable 2018 Dance season looking forward to 2019. Just know this is not just an after school or a recreational program lol this is a competitive dance studio where hard work and dedication is expected from both students and parents. My son has been asking to start tap and being a resident of Fontana, this would be the nearest dance studio. So if this would be the closest opportunity to being a dance mom since I only have sons and no daughters, I though "why not". Upon entering, I noticed a very stale smell. This is a very small studio and the front desk/reception area was in the same room as the actual dance floor. Right away I thought, okay, this is obviously not going to cost me an arm and a leg, which was ok considering I wouldn't want to shell out a ton of money only to find out my son hates dance lol. The receptionist looked to be about 13 years old and couldn't show me a schedule when I asked. She called the owner over who asked what I needed. When I explained I was inquiring about a schedule to possibly sign my son up for tap dancing lessons. She immediately responded with "I'm not sure about putting any boy in an all girls class. Try a park and rec class instead". Obviously, in shock, I said "okay?", and left. Discrimination??? I think so. Save yourself the trouble, and find a better dance studio. I've been a dancer most of my life and finally have a chance to discover if my passion has transferred to my child, only to be shown the door. I will never consider this place again and will urge others not to consider it either. Horrible!

(Musical Theater 1, Musical Theater 2, tap 1, tap/ballet , jazz and HipHop)He went from a boy with anxiety to this confident performer. He was in his second musical Mary Poppins this past weekend. To see him perform with the biggest smile made me cry. He was confident and was so excited about the show. The show was AMAZING!!!!!!!!It's been great watching not just my son but many of the cast members just grow in theater. Thank You Mr.Frank and Mrs.Yesenia for bringing out the best in my son. He himself thanked them after the show for teaching him the songs and the choreography. All his teachers are all wonderful , Mrs.Megan , Miss. Larissa, Miss. Jenna, Miss. Jack , thank you ALL for not giving up on my son. A special shout out to Miss. Jack. Andrew wanted to try tap. Since the class has been practicing for a few months Andrew felt discouraged since they were already learning the song that they will be performing on the summer showcase. After trying the class he didn't want to continue since he was just starting and felt lost. Miss Jack told him she sees his talent and he can do it. She told him to come back the next week and try again. He tried again and he felt that he couldn't do it. Miss.Jack told him to think about it , she believes in him, if he still don't feel comfortable he can enroll after the summer showcase and start from the beginning. She was very sweet to him. On our way home he decided he wanted to continue!!! His words " mom , Miss.Jack believes in me. I want to take her class , I can do it " He's doing amazing. She knew how much he did want to take her class and encouraged him. I can't wait to see him on stage in June for the summer showcase. I also want to give a shout out to the parent volunteers.They're very helpful, it was so nice to hear from them how Andrew has grown so much in theater. Another shout out to Kyle , the front receptionist for being helpful and answering my million questions haha. Us parents don't just cheer for our kids we cheer for all the kids. I am thankful I found Valverde. They have help mold my son in this confident , happy , positive young performer. Can't wait to see him continue growing in theater !! At Define, you'll find teachers who care about their students growth, not only in the area of dance, but in their academics, health, and emotional well-being. In the single year my daughter has been there, she's grown tremendously as a competitive dancer, she's made amazing friendships, and has really matured and blossomed. The other dance moms are welcoming and supportive of one another's children. It's truly a family. The competition team is super competitive and teachers challenge their students through choreography, musicality, style, and storytelling. They also offer great performance options even if your child is not interested in competition team. The studio is bright and energetic. And most of all, it's a second home for the dancers. The one thing that sums up our Define experience are words my daughter told me after I picked her up from class, "Mom, when I'm at the studio, I'm home. I'm loved. I'm challenged and I feel like myself." What more can a parent ask for?

All three of my kids- 2 daughters and 1 son - went here. This dance studio was very much a big part of their childhood and I always wondered - when they were still in dance- if it was worth it because we drove an hour away to go to this dance studio 5-6 days a week. I always wondered what if they give up dance... why am I driving so far? Yes, it was worth it. My kids gave up dance, if COVID didn't happen, they would still be in dance because this studio is amazing!!! You can't measure the worth of an activity for your kids solely due to them continuing on in college or adulthood. You have to realize what values they are learning. My kids left here learning that it takes consistency and hard work to learn a new skill, to be kind and forgiving to themselves and others, to believe in themselves, and so much more because of the trust, respect and dedication the dance owner, dance instructors, dancers and parents put into this studio. All three kids did dance competitions. The instruction here is top notch. Every kid gets dance corrections. Every kid will learn the dance. The instructors really instruct. All the dances are kid appropriate. All the costumes are kid appropriate. Some studios have children in skimpy costumes. Not here. They focus on the kids learning how to actually dance. This studio does produce dancers that go on to college for dance and beyond - while keeping an inviting environment. My kids do not have anything negative to say about this studio. They have very fond memories of Ms Jamie, Mrs. Reese, Ms Debbie, Ms Maria, Ms Danielle and so many more. All the teachers are amazing. They are very patient with the students to really get the best dancer out of every person. I've watched from the littles all the way up to the adults and amazed at what they can bring out of people. Please know that their kids classes are fun but they actually teach technique. While it's great to see little ones in tutus, it's amazing to see that they are actually learning form and not just playing dress up. I've encountered a lot of parents who say how uncomfortable they are at other studios because teachers or parents are unwelcoming but that is not the case here. The environment in the whole studio is very inclusive no matter age or gender and I LOVE THAT! Their shows are top notch. Their professionalism and kindness is unmatched. This was our home away from home. It will be sorely missed.
