Monitoring is done at times where I don't need to miss work, too. However, I found out today that starting at the end of August 2025, the clinic no longer accepts my insurance. Instead of communicating this to me a month ago, I found out today that I will need to pay for a procedure tomorrow out of pocket. I will also have additional fees for upcoming appointments. All of this is very frustrating as I've already paid a substantial amount of money to this clinic. Patients should be informed of major insurance changes like this well in advance, so they can make financial adjustments. Ideally, insurance shifts should occur at the start of the calendar year and be communicated before open enrollment. This last minute notification was unprofessional, poorly communicated, and horribly timed.

We were previously with…read moreanother clinic for eight months, before we decided to get a second opinion and transfer our care to RMA- I couldn't be more thankful we made the switch. We worked with Dr. Wolf who immediately heard our concerns and asked us how we'd like to proceed seeing as we had many, many tests and procedures done already. She listened to us, gave us her advice and ultimately let us make the decisions. We've never felt more heard by a provider. We would not have our beautiful son if it wasn't for Dr. wolf and this amazing clinic. From the phlebotomist to the nurses (shoutout to my nurses Sarah & Kayla) and front desk staff, everyone was kind and helpful. They never minded answering any questions and always made us feel welcome. Going to a fertility clinic can be so intimidating and after our first appointment, the anxiety went away. Let this be your sign to go to RMA and have your miracle baby!

I had called back at the end of last summer to make my first appointment, Jenny answered, she was…read morepleasant. She informed me that the intake receptionist was offsite in Flint. She would take down my phone number, name and info to have Angela call me when she's able to today. She said Angela is backed up a little bit, as it may take a little while to call me back. I said that's fine, hopeful Angela would not call me during a meeting. Jenny did also confirm for me that their office hours are Monday through Friday from 7 AM-12 PM and 1 PM-3 PM. They have a daily set one hour lunch break, that's good to hear for everyone's sake. Angela called me back a few hours later to make an appointment, asking and looking for a Morgan. Jenny, who had taken my phone call had not relayed my name to Angela correctly. Angela asked if I was calling about an IVF appointment and I said yes. Angela clarified that the first appointment is a Tele health video and phone conference with the physicians assistant, not with the doctor. The clinic is only open for testing only. I would only be meeting with the doctor for follow up consult after any testing is completed, not for my first consult or for any checkups other than to go over test results, is this normal, doesn't seem like a good rule or practice to me. I was willing to deal with seeing the PA for the majority of my process. First foul ball. Then we went onto personal details about my age, which is normal. I was told I exceeded this locations age limit. I had never felt age discriminated at any other clinic or establishment until now. I was beyond disappointed and so disheartened. It's bad enough and a bummer to feel a bit broken having to make the tough and defeating decision to get medical help as it is. The frustrating part was their other 6 non-affiliated but namesake affiliated clinics have a higher age cutoffs then here. Why is that? It's not like people one day wake up and say I am going to do IVF today. I had specifically chosen this location based on the positive reviews for it, not due to location, since it's further from me than a few other locations by far. It takes big financial planning, as it can cost as much or more than $25k. And then building up the mental fortitude to be able to ready oneself for such a difficult process and procedure, potentially. I felt punished for not making this big life decision just one year earlier. I am not that old but felt it after talking to their patient intake receptionist. It's not her fault of course, it's up to the doctor to set this age limit, as it was his provocative to do so. Alas, it was onto the next place and hopefully they wouldn't leave me dejected and out in the cold and feeling less than I should. I have said my piece.

Dr. Abuzeid preformed a uterine septum repair when other infertility specialist never brought up issues that may require surgical assistance. I was told by other specialist my issue was unexplained infertility, but Dr. Abuzeid helped me find real answers. After healing from my surgery, previous medication that had not worked to get me pregnant after multiple attempts before surgery, helped me get pregnant the first month I used it after surgery. They are worth the wait. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Abuzeid and his team at IVF Michigan.

We are so unbelievably grateful for getting referred to Dr. Mersol-Barg. We had been doing IVF at…read moreanother clinic for almost a year and we're told that we needed to just give up. I would never have another baby of my own and it was impossible. We took one last shot in the dark and scheduled an appointment to meet with Dr. Mersol-Barg just to see what he would have to say. It was one of the best decisions I've made in my entire life. He developed a plan of treatment just for me and didn't treat me like I didn't matter like I was being treated at the other IVF clinic. I had experienced an "assembly like" retrieval with at that other clinic. Dr. Mersol-Barg developed my treatment based off my body/needs not maximizing his schedule to make more money. Also- All of the costs we experienced we knew upfront and were never hit with any surprise bills, which was amazing. The other clinic was still hitting us with bills six months after my last visit. One of the other best parts about the clinic is that the support staff (nurses, PA's, blood draw techs, etc) were some of the most compassionate and amazing people I've ever met too. We did experience a loss with our first embryo transfer and not only did they call to check on me, but they also sent me a beautiful handwritten card. Physicians assistant, Timesha, helped me cope with my loss but was also my cheerleader having our rainbow baby. I will remember her for the rest of my life. Long story short, I recommend this clinic with my whole heart and soul. I'm writing them review holding my rainbow baby that was made possible by Dr Mersol-Barg and have so much love for this the entire team.

Our story has a happy ending however it was not achieved through this clinic. My wife had 2…read morechildren from a previous marriage and she got her tubes tied after her second child. She was in a bad marriage and decided that was the best option at the time. Her marriage failed and a few years later we started dating and eventually married. We decided we wanted children together as I had none of my own. We talked to several clinics and Nobody was doing tubal reversals at the time I guess for legal reasons. Ivf was our best option and we chose ivf michigan & ohio fertility centers. We did all the pretests to ensure we were good candidates for ivf. During this process is when doctors started doing tubal reversals again. We spoke to the doctor about this option again and he told us my sperm analysis showed low sperm count and that the tails of my sperm were rounded and therefore we would have little to no chance at conceiving on our own after a successful tubal reversal. So pushed for us to continue with ivf. We applied for many loans to pay for the ivf and only future family loans would finance us with a high interest high payment loan. We started the grueling process of ivf my wife had 14 eggs retrieved 10 were fertilized and only 1 made it to an embryo. We only had 1 shot. The egg transferred ended in miscarriage. We were left devastated and we couldn't possibly afford to start ivf again and the Dr just had an "oh well" attitude even though our world shattered. Still desperately wanting a child we decided to at least explore our options at a different clinic as we were not happy with our whole experience at Michigan & ohio fertility centers. Our new dr looked at my sperm analysis and said there was nothing wrong with my sperm quality and would give us a 75% chance at conceiving on our own after a successful tubal reversal. We did the reversal which is a fraction of the cost of ivf. Less than 10 months later our baby boy was born and we are so I love with him. This is truly the happiest ive ever been but the financial strain that ivf has put on our family has been difficult. The Dr at Michigan & ohio fertility centers pushed ivf on us when we clearly had a better option i guess it was a bigger payoff for him. We left Michigan & ohio fertility centers heartbroken with grief and financially ruined it was truly the biggest mistake of our lives choosing this clinic.
