Richard was made aware of a situation where one of his employees, Julie Sandine, handled a sensitive mental crisis inappropriately and to-date, Richard has yet to handle the situation. I believe that Julie lacked the compassion, ethics and rationality in handling this situation as a sub-contractor of Carteret General Hospital. Her actions created emotional trauma and stress that could have been avoided. My wife was removed and transferred from Carteret General Hospital in middle of the late evening, actually in the night, when she was resting comfortably and was not in a life threatening situation. Julie was unethical in telling Carteret General Hospital that I had agreed and knew of her plan to remove my wife and calling me was unnecessary, which was not true. I only found out she was transferred when I called into the hospital only to be told she was not there. If Julie had any compassion at all, she would have thought through the situation and realized the additional trauma she was putting my wife, myself and our family through. The actions and decisions of Julie Sandine, under the direction and management of Richard Morefield, only created additional delays in treatment, trauma and stress as well as incremental expense to myself and my insurance company. Julie was even willing to threaten me with my wife's release from the hospital putting her life, myself and our family in harm's way during a mental health crisis. Richard has yet to respond back to my complaint and seemed to be un-interested to handle beyond a phone conversation.

I was looking forward to me and my partner getting help when going through a difficult time. We got…read morepaired with Gema Cruz and I was so disappointed. She was very much one sided and it felt judgmental and when I opened up and told her what I was struggling with with my partner she quite literally said not to shame him for stonewalling me and shutting down or ignoring me because "that's what he had to do as a child to survive". She completley enabled his harmful and hurtful tactics and excused them. For these reasons I would not recommend her and also will be finding a new counselor.
