A Luxurious Dental Experience Like No Other!…read more If going to the dentist has ever felt like a chore, let me introduce you to Dr. Alex Chaney a game-changer in the world of dentistry. From the moment I stepped into the office, I knew this wasn't just any routine visit. The atmosphere? Elegant, relaxed, and effortlessly comfortable. The professionalism? Impeccable. The technology? State-of-the-art. Now, let me tell you something....I'm past 50 plus years old and never in my life have I experienced such peace during a dental procedure, let alone one involving drilling and Novocain. And get this I actually fell asleep in the chair That's right, I was so at ease that I dozed off mid-procedure. Apparently, that's the ultimate compliment in the dental world and trust me, Dr. Alex Chaney and his team deserve it. If you're looking for a dentist who redefines what it means to care for your teeth while making you feel like royalty in the process, Dr. Alex Chaney is the one. The office is definitely dated compared to our previous dentist, and they are still up to date. The staff is great and my wife really likes the hygeneist, which is another good sign. When I went in staff told me I might need to start over to complete 3 pages or more of paperwork. When I said No, I wasn't interested in doing that (before staff found my initial paperwork to continue) the dentist said something audible (under his breath) in Tagolog in a derisive tone. There was also rap music playing with inappropriate curse words! The dentist did appear knowledgeable, however it seems your office pushes cosmetic dentistry. My estimates were quite high, whereas the Berkeley "Refresh" dentist I went to yesterday had a much lower estimate including a treatment plan to save teeth your office was going cap & crown. A 2.5 out of 5 rating. I know other educated professionals with high expectations most likely have the same experience. Ramona Mann MA

I have had a few crowns replaced in the last few years and never had the attention paid to me that Dr. Makkiyah, and her teammates, Jared and Lydia did. From x-rays to final cementing of new crowns, they were amazing, explaining everything to me very carefully and then executing with the utmost care and precision. They have amazing technology that assists them with the best possible delivery. They were able to remove two old crowns, measure for new ones and have those ready in just a couple of hours. I am so impressed. But again, this alone would not be that impressive if it weren't for the team's caring and concern for my comfort and well being. They made a not very fun procedure into something more than tolerable. Even when she administered the pain shots, they did something that made that less painful. I also wear Invisalign retainers so they made a point of keeping the shape of the crowns exactly as my old ones were, saving me the expense of obtaining new retainers. In my lifetime, I have probably been to at least 7 dentists in various cities and I wish I had met Dr. Makkiyah sooner!

Overall, this was a very bad experience for me. I have anxiety about the dentist. Dr Cervantes was always gentle and aware and helped me better my dental hygiene. Today, however, the cleaning started, and I don't think the tech had even read my chart. After the cleaning, which was painful and I did not get a flossing or the normal medicine, I met a new doctor. If I would have known what I was walking into for this apptmtn, I could have mentally prepared myself. However, to walk into this unprepared with anxiety, was horrible. I went to my car afterwards and cried. I will not be going back. Ithink Bianca is still there and she is excellent with anxiety, but I felt so embarrassed and somewhat taken advantage of that I will be getting a new dentist.

She is a pleasure to be around, and I always know that when she is helping me, my dental needs will be handled carefully and thoroughly. Going to the dentist is generally not at the top of anyone's list of fun activities, but I always know that I will be treated well and that my concerns will be addressed.
