This place is great! Wouldn't have known it was there, if it wasn't for the big sign that points the way on the bus stop on the corner of Mt. Vernon & Cooley Dr. The people are very friendly and their jerky is great! My favorite is the Original Peppered Beef Jerky and the Applewood Smoke Style Bacon. But they have a big variety of flavors. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

The lady was so nice and it smells so good in there and. I will definitely be going back and try more flavors.

I've been coming here for over a decade. The flavors have expanded but the: taste, quality price and service have remained constant. This is my go-to for jerky. I'm about 30 mins away but I consistently make the drive out there for jerky. Best jerky I've ever had. read more

I originally went here to look for a job and I did purchase four different bags of the jerky. One flavor was barbecue mesquite another flavor was uncured bacon jerky the next flavor would be whiskey street jerky and the very last one would be traditional western flavor. All of these flavors are amazing! Will definitely come back and buy some more! read more

Awesome place! They have a big assortment of beef jerky. They have many flavors to choose from and they're great in quality! I usually don't like jerky so much but I actually love it from here. The prices are way better than what you would get from a liquor store or convenient market. You can buy single packs or you can buy in bulk whatever is your preference. When you get there you just walk up to a window service type place and let them know what you want. Both girls that were working were extremely nice and friendly! They were happy to serve us and very much welcoming. They have been there for 12 years and I think that's because they have great quality, service and prices! Highly recommend. read more

I came by this place as I was delivering a pkg. it's a Jerky manufacturing co. Yes I found the BEST Jerky in California but you might say what about those guys up north in Baker from out of this world. Well this Jerky puts them in the rear seat. I tried 3 different kinds the teriyaki, sweet and spicy, maple bacon. They were all better than I would ever imagine. I had my wife try some and my son and my grandson and my granddaughter. All of them said it's the best they ever had eaten. Ok so that you know I don't work there or I am not the owner but I would love to be co-owner as this is sure the best. They also stated that they opened up a hugh manufacturing plant in Nevada. I am going back to pick up more packages and you also should stop by and try some out, you won't be sorry they have a wall with so many different kinds to choose from and since I am close by I will try them all and some. Is it customary for a dental floss/toothpick to be included in the bag? We bought several flavors at a store in Helen GA this past weekend, and the Korean BBQ flavor was the only one to have one in it. If it had been separately wrapped I might not have been concerned, but since it was not I am wondering how it got into a sealed bag. This place is amazing!! They make Jerky fresh everyday. The selection is great they have tons of flavors (17 actually). They have beef jerky, chicken jerky, bacon jerky, and get ready for it...... alcohol infused jerky. The salesperson was the sweetest thing ever!! Some of the workers I saw were even wearing Lab coats which doesn't get more legit. The prices were so good I couldn't believe it! So far I've only tried three flavors Barbecue Mesquite, Volcanic Jalapeño, and orange teriyaki. Luckily I work a block away so I'll be trying some more very soon. read more

Heard about this place from another business down the street and decided to check it out. I've been a big jerky fan for most of my life and I'm always skeptical about trying new brands, but this knocked it out of the park for me. The prices are great, the staff is friendly and they had a great variety. The bags come with little flossers to get the jerky out of your teeth which is a fun touch. Couldn't recommend them enough. read more

I had a wonderful phone conversation with the owner Ben who personally took my order. We agreed upon a date and time two weeks out since I was going to be out of town for the 4th of July week. They called while I was out of town to confirm the date and time (between 10-11 am) which was great! When I arrived to the store with my son around 11:15 because of the heavy traffic on 91W I went to the counter and was told by a young female that I needed to go to the pay counter. She was curt and not helpful. There was only three people ahead of me so no problem. But the elder gentleman in front of me, who was being helped by the young man who would eventually help me, took an exceptionally long time with his order. I'm just here to pay and pick up. No problem, I'll be patient and keep waiting. Two other costumers are helped by the female counter person and finally the elder customer leaves with his order and I'm next. The young male counter person then waits for me to initiate the conversation and doesn't greet me with a smile or hello or how can I help. I brush it off. I tell him I'm here to pick up my order, a whole pig and give him my last name. He fumbles around a few seconds and then asks how to spell my name and eventually finds my ticket order and asks what time. The time is written at the top of the ticket he failed to notice. I pay for the order. He mutters someone will be out with my order and disappears. No thank you, no attentiveness like he gave the older gentleman in front of me. Again, I've been in my car with my son for over two hours from San Diego in traffic and this fella couldn't give me five minutes of courtesy. I'm waiting, and waiting and waiting while others eventually come into the store and are being helped and leaving. The older female worker at the pay counter is still there helping customers while the younger female at the deli counter is now apparently on a break and making herself lunch. She stops momentarily when a customer comes in for deli service. I'm still waiting by the counter to make sure I'm at least acknowledged but I don't see the young male counter worker who apparently left for lunch since it's now noon. The older female worker can probably see on my face that I'm not happy and says to me he's working on my order. He? Who's he? I am just here to pay and pick order between 10-11. How much time and trouble could it be to put this order together which was made two weeks prior? A different gentlemen finally arrives with three boxes and two large paper bags that comprise my order. On the way out the older female worker says goodbye and was very courteous. At this point I'm pretty upset because this is not a large haul and this order could've easily been second and not 45 minutes! I arrive home after the two hour drive back home to SD and looking forward to the meat, especially the sausages and putting it into the freezer which I cleared out in preparation for the meat. My older son is home to help. As we are sorting and placing the meat I notice that there are no sausages. It's just sausage meat but no links. I guess it's my fault for assuming and not specifying sausage links on at peat some of the order. It was a huge letdown. I had array went out to purchase rolls and buns for a bbq this weekend and to have friends and family over. Oh well. You live and you learn. At least the bacon was great.

There was also plenty of parking and several seating options inside. We decided to order a little bit of everything so we could try as much of the menu as possible. We had the brisket, brisket burnt ends, rib tips, several sides, and both desserts. The brisket burnt ends were definitely my favorite. They were smoky, tender, and full of flavor. The brisket had a beautiful bark and was cooked perfectly, and the rib tips were just as good. I was honestly just as impressed with the sides. My favorites were the spicy mac and cheese and the potato salad. The potato salad was creamy and was the perfect thing to cool your mouth after eating the steamed jalapeños. The coleslaw and green beans were also really refreshing and balanced out all the rich barbecue. The biggest surprise for me was the sweet yams. It was so flavorful that it tasted like it had been slow-cooked in brown sugar and spices for hours. For dessert, I tried both the banana pudding and the peach cobbler. The banana pudding was the winner for me, but I also liked that the peach cobbler wasn't overly sweet. Even the cornbread was delicious. I ended up pairing it with the barbecue baked beans and was a great combo. Our total came to about $110 before tax and tip, but we ordered enough food to try a wide variety of meats, sides, and desserts, so I thought it was well worth it. Overall, there wasn't a single thing we ordered that I wouldn't get again. If you're looking for great Texas-style barbecue in the Inland Empire, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

Meanwhile, everyone else's food was just sitting there getting cold. The customer in front of me even left to use the restroom and came back to more waiting, which says a lot about the delay. What made it more frustrating was seeing the to-go order continue adding items while several of us were stuck waiting just to check out. At that point, it felt like enough was enough. I would strongly suggest having one dedicated cashier and another person serving. It's not a good look for a restaurant running a hot line to struggle with just five customers. Hopefully this was just an off day, because I've had good experiences here before--but today definitely missed the mark.

You know that jerky company that Bigfoot advertises for simply because their product has the same consistency as the sole of Bigfoot's Birkentstocks? Carnivore Candy is not that company. This is a family-run operation that gets its beef from select California ranchers, and, through some magical process (and a sprinkling of love) turns that meat into the most tender and flavorful jerky you can imagine. Stop imagining and buy some! Each bag contains delectable slabs of shrunken-head-steak-goodness. A few years ago when I first started buying my protein-pez from Carnivore Candy, they were working on perfecting some chicken jerky. Honestly, not my thing: if I want chicken jerky, I'll RSVP for a wedding reception dinner for some distant cousin. But then, the Boyd Family set to work on alcohol-infused beef jerky, creating one of my favorites: whiskey jerky! They told me each batch gets a whole fifth of top-shelf hootch. Booze and beef....only one B could make it better. And the Family did it: Bacon Jerky! And not just any bacon jerky, but Sriracha Bacon Jerky (and other flavors). Yes you will eat the whole bag at one sitting, so buy an extra. And today, when I stopped by to provision for an upcoming road trip, I got tripped out by Carnivore Candy's newest flavor offering: Smoky Sriracha Beef Jerky! Oh and they are now selling a totally cool tee shirt. With limited funds, I made the (not-at-all) hard decision to skip the shirt and buy more jerky! The Boyd Family is the Willy Wonka of meatfectionary. But don't take my word for it: heck you most likely don't even know me! Tell you what...buy some yourself and try it. This is a terrible company. That sacrifices the well being of their employees for their own greed and to keep their pockets full. They do not take care of their employees , treat them like dogs, pay them like shit, and punishes the wrong people. As long as you're cool with the bosses you can do whatever you want including but not limited to taking as many days off as you want, coming in as late as you wish. Please please please do not do not do not support this company as they are a bunch of crooks.
