Fireside Jamaican Restaurant -- 3/2026…read more Fireside Jamaican absolutely earns five stars. The food is rich, flavorful, and cooked with the kind of care that makes every bite worth the wait. Even with long lines, everyone stays patient because the food is that good. The space has a few dine‑in tables and is basically clean, giving you the option to sit and enjoy your meal. The staff is kind, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable: they ask all the right questions about your preferences, how you want your plate arranged, and even whether you like your food touching * Kingfish (Lg) 2 Pieces-- perfectly seasoned, tender, and bursting with bold, delicious flavor. * Oxtail (Med) -- fall‑off‑the‑bone tender with deep, rich gravy. * Stewed Beans-delicious *Cabbage - lightly stewed *Rice w Greens( my favorite)- l *Rice and Peas- * Lemonade -- refreshing, homemade * Majestea -- smooth, vibrant, and delicious enough to order again on the spot.

I entered and was impressed with the layout out of patio style seating with welcoming signs and decor on walls. This covered area was undetectable from the front of the building which is located on a busy street. The parking area is just beyond and can be a bit tricky to enter on high traffic days. The food area was set up like a buffet with pans of Jamaican favorites including jerk, chicken, oxtails, rice and peas among other specialties. I was in the mood for wings and was truly happy when I noticed Jamrock. I figured I could still get a healthier chicken meal with tasty rice instead of french fries. The jerk chicken meal was offered with white meat or dark meat and came with cabbage and plantain. I opted for the dark meat which consisted of a leg and a wing, and got the large size. The portions were generous, except for the plantain, which only included two pieces. I ordered my food to go and did not eat until I was home. The meal itself was good overall, but was lacking in the full Jamaican flavor experience. Unfortunately, I did not receive the oxtail gravy on top of my rice as requested; I'm pretty sure that would've enhance the meal. I was accustomed to receiving at other Jamrock locations. As I mentioned portion sizes were decent to allow for two meals. Despite this, I will defer to my other preferred location for future meals with this chain.

This is the first good Jamaican restaurant I been to since living in GA for almost 8 years man being from fl i can honestly say i was pleased baby cause I definitely hate when folks recommend Golden K baby that's not really JA food but dis di nice it can gwan child i came two day in a row . First off when you enter a JA restaurant if the service doesn't look mean the food nah go good but child as i reach little miss face mix lol she said did you hear what I said and I said no she said I said cash only i vex quick a clock but ATM next door in the gas station. Sign should be up if they only take cash cause both days I went she said the same thing but anyways the place doesn't have up any ambiance just a fe flyer promoting parties , a few tables and chairs turned upside down so i guess no real insides seating to eat . . . Now for the real part rice and peas with fried chicken and the gravy they make 10/10 i don't even like skin on chicken but dis i did mash up yo boxside 10/10 alright mi nah tell yuh again try it lol I also had the curry goat it can gwan to spice level was their but the meat did need to pressure some more. I'm definitely coming back to try some more items pon di menu big up uno self .

The second time it looked like the boyfriend of the clerk was having a moment that couldn't wait for home. Meanwhile I'm there waiting for service, they completely ignored me. Then other customers came in and they never acknowledged them. WTHelly?! I usually do go in on places very offer but this is just inexcusable. Not only am I a customer but I'm a black customer who happens to be a lover of Jamaican food. I don't know what it would take to get a taste of this "good food". Is there a password or a handshake?

I really don't like to give bad reviews...AT ALL, but I just have to give my 2 cents…read more My husband and I went here, Sunday, 5-31 and I will say we were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance and decor! Very nice inside! Unfortunately, that's where the "good" ends! The young lady at the front taking the orders, needs A LOT more training, seemed like it was her first day, but I doubt it. She's too timid and needs to learn to be more assertive and louder. I could hardly hear her. She didn't know enough about the menu items, and just really didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Someone should have been up there with her if it indeed was her first day. I also asked for a receipt, she said it would be texted to me.... nope, never received it! My husband ordered the oxtail plate w/ rice, collard greens and cornbread. Now this is where tastebuds come into play. He LOVED it..said it tasted fresh. I, on the other hand wasn't impressed! Especially for the price we paid...close to $40, for the amount of food we DIDN'T get! For that price it shoud've been a few more oxtails on that plate! The only other good thing was their health score which was 100!! Yaay for that! Would I go back? Maybe, just to experience the ambiance and to sit down and eat.

I've stopped rating on uber eats because the food from so many places is just standard it's normal it's nothing special it's not even worth taking the time to write about it!!! But then I found this place. I was in a mood for some spicy wasn't feeling well and needed some spices to get my Blood flowing lol I wanted some real jerk chicken not some punk jerk chicken there's so many restaurants that serve mediocre jerk chicken because they have to bring down the seasonings to appease people who can't handle the spices and the heat. Oh no not this place!!! This jerk chicken was spicy very spicy but it was very good it was very flavorful. It had a good taste like it had been grilled or smoked not just cooked in the oven. I got the small side and that was about three pieces of chicken it was more than enough. It came with a standard side of peas and rice and cabbage. I opted for no cabbage and more rice. I love love plantains but they have to be right these were the most beautiful plantains I've seen in years. They were sweet juicy and ripe. The other side I got was mac & cheese. When I order macaroni and cheese from restaurants I don't expect it to be good not to pat myself on the back but most people don't make macaroni and cheese the way I do I make it very cheesy and it probably cost them too much money to make it the way I want it so I wasn't expecting a lot from this macaroni and cheese. But I was pleasantly surprised and it didn't have a lot of cheese in it but it had flavor and this was the first time I've had spicy macaroni and cheese I guess this is this restaurant's signature way they make their macaroni and cheese , which I can appreciate. they didn't just throw something together they made it the way they want it to make it. I will definitely be ordering from this place again.
