I rolled in and was greeted by a friendly Waitress!!! I placed a To Go Order for a Baller On a Budget Approved Carne Asada Super Burrito with Sour Cream and Guacamole!!!! I Paid by Credit Card and Chilled out. 15 minutes later my Finely crafted Burrito was in my Hands !! I rolled out the door and jumped in my Whip and rolled out!!! When I got to my Destination. Let me start by saying the service was great and this review is solely for the food. I don't judge places on the location or surroundings since that may be out of their control. This place is in a strip mall/shopping center plaza. One couple eating there at dinner time(should have already been a fed flag). Rest of the place was emptier than a street race after someone yells Cops. Food is definitely worth 1 Star or below(2nd star added just for the service). I ordered a veggie burrito for my wife and the portion was great but inside was filled with just overcooked mushed together rice and shredded lettuce. No Cheese! No Veggies! No Anything! I ordered a chicken burrito and again same thing, filled with all mushed together rice barely any chicken and that was it. No cheese, veggies, or even beans. Here is the kicker they charged like $12 a burrito and you have to pay extra if you want chips($4) and old salsa poured from a jug from the fridge. For that price please do yourself a huge favor and go to Agave next to Turmeric. Or save a couple of bucks and hit the taco truck down the street parked at the liquor store. Wasn't pleasantly surprised when walking into this restaurant. The outside deceives you, the inside is nice and clean. We did an order to go and they did mess up part of our order but the rest was good. I got the birria plate with rice and beans, while it was good it wasn't amazing. Good portions though. We are here for lunch.... The organization of how to order the food was very confusing. The lady up front was taking orders then after helping someone walked away to go serve food at the table but didn't say anything. The food was missing items requested and one person in our party got her food 30 minutes later after we were all done eating. The guacamole was NOT good. It looks fabulous but has no flavor. Was the food microwaved? The food burned straight through the foam plate as shown in photo. Chemicals from burned foam with a touch of table germs on the bottom of torta. My friend was dissapointed as well, ordered a super burrito asada but it was more like super rice burrito instead. Stay away unless you want to be dissapointed. read more

One of the best Carnitas I ever had! Absolutely delicious. I'm from San Diego and often travel south of the border for Carnitas because it's hard to find good Carnitas here. This is one simple but amazingly good hard-core Mexican lunch dinner place it was fantastic . I had the straight Carnitas tacos with chips and pico and it was amazing for six dollars. The owner was there helping us and was just an amazingly nice friendly super guy and the food, the food, The food. They drop the ball, they are very inconsistent on their prices as well. Every Sunday we used to go there and order the same thing sometimes the price would even be $10 dollars more expensive for the same food. Great carnitas for only $4.99 a pound take out and $6.99 in house! Hard to argue with their logo - a pig with a chefs hat stirring a giant carnitas pot. Just tried their tacos with hand made tortillas on my first visit, they were very good with their great salsas. Took home a pound of carnitas and a dozen hand made tortillas. The tortillas are $2.99 a dozen. I'll be back to try more. Correction: The carnitas are $4.99 for the SECOND pound when you buy the first for $6.99. Still a great deal for great carnitas. read more

I used to come here years ago when attending UC Merced. I loved their burritos. I came back and they still make one of the best carne asada burritos I've ever had. It's huge and only $4.99. I think what sets it apart is the tasty tortilla. I noticed a lot of people come and get take out orders here. Definitely give them a try when you want Mexican food. This place is great! I went there today with my bf and I loved it. He got the super burrito and I got the 4 tacos with a soda special. I tried different meats (carne asada, lengua, carnitas, and buche) and they were all delicious except the lengua wasn't that good to me.
