Will never use this pharmacy again. Was there 30 minutes waiting for a prescription to be filled. Then was told " We don't have it" and the staff was unwilling to assist with finding the pharmaceutical somewhere else. Was told "That's not what we do" . CVS/Walgreens or even Walmart will do that for you. Would not even give me the proper name of the prescription so I could look for it. Had to call the Dr back since it was called in to find it. read more

This pharmacy needs to teach their pharmacist how to interact amicably with doctors offices. They called us to let us know they did not have the prescription we needed for our patient and if the dr could changed the prescription. When I consulted with the dr he denied their request. The first lady I talked to told me to let my dr know that the prescription was on manufacture back order since ... I let her know that I understood but the doctor wants what is going to work best for our pt. We get a second call from them attempting to change the rx. I put the lady on hold and decide to call a pharmacy near the pts home that we think will have it. GUESS WHAT? They had it. Even though they claimed they called all the pharmacy's in the area.So I proceeded to let her know we found a pharmacy that had it and that we would contact our pt directly to inform them. She got an attitude with me and started demanding answers. Claiming that she had just called there. Then when I told her it was taken care of ... She abruptly hanged up on me. Just need to have a little more customer service with your peers it will be much appreciated. We're all under pressure but it doesn't cost you anything to be nice . Thanks :) read more

I've been a customer for about two years. They are terrible about contacting my doctor about refills. More than once, I have complained to my doctor about not getting my refills called in only to find out that pharmacy never contacted them. For the past three months they have consistently run out of medications. It gets very confusing and frustrating to find handwritten IOUs on the bottles. This is a small town literally in between Atlanta and Athens. Carmichael's basically has a monopoly. There's Walmart, and a CVS somewhere in downtown Monroe, but otherwise we're looking at a drive to go elsewhere. And that is exactly what I am going to do...go elsewhere. read more

My girlfriend and her daughter get their medicine filled here. The service provided is excellent. The time it takes to get their medicine filled is half of the time it takes at other pharmacies. I can also find things like steri-strips and gifts that I would not be able to find anywhere else in Monroe. Great place to find almost anything! read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A.D.D or GET ANY NARCOTIC OR SCHEDULE 2 MEDICINE ! I have spent plenty of money here but never used their pharmacy before. However, one day I had to get my Ritalin filled and decided on Carmichaels because of its proximity to my home considering my normal pharmacy did not have it in stock . These "people" took it upon themselves to treat me like a criminal. After making me pay, the pharmacist (who refused to come out and talk to me herself) would not give it to me because she thought I didn't look EXACTLY in person like I did in my drivers license photo. I had recently dyed my hair and that was unacceptable to her. They instantly confiscated my i.d and prescription and refused to give either back. They told me if I didn't leave they would call the police. ALL IN FRONT OF ABOUT 50 WATCHING PEOPLE! I am a grown woman but this upset me in a way that I at this time I simply can't communicate it in full in a superficial way. But I took action and called the police myself and explained everything. I told them they refused to return my property, and was discriminating against me and not allowing me to recieve the treatment my doctor set forth. When the cop arrived, he asked my my ss number and got a description of me and knew right away I was not lying and it was me on my license. He ordered them to give me the i.d and medicine and sternly reprimanded them for "trying to act for the police when in fact it is not their jobs to do so". And the woman with short brown hair who was the problem pharmacist never even came out or apologized for her mistreatment or blatant mistake. Instead she made the poor cashier do it who had nothing to do with anything. But the biggest problem of all occured when I finally got the owner of Carmichaels on the phone and told him how discriminated and terrible I was treated. His limp response was "I don't care". Later he barely managed a small apology after I informed him how unlawful it was to conduct business in such a manner and that I actually have rights protected by the US Constitution. But truely the damage was done. No one at Carmichaels cares. Thats the simple truth. They think they run the show and set the rules. And at Carmichaels they do, with no exception to anything but where their mood takes them on any given day. They act as though pharmacists have more expertise than Doctors and if they don't like how you look, you don't get your medicine. Even if you are legit. At carmichaels, you have NO rights. I advise you to never go there unless you enjoy being bullied by arrogant, delusional, egomaniacle pharmacists who pretend they're Doctors rather then pill counters. Along with an equally DAFT owner who doesn't realize his business is on the way down because of his own lack of respect for the individuals who allow his business' survival in the first place. read more
