Our son Benny is a pandemic pup, and boy does he have separation anxiety! Initially my husband had him in a pet-friendly hotel room and stepped out for a quick dinner but got a call at dinner that Benny would not stop barking. My husband frantically found doggie daycare the next day so that he could continue to see Monterey sights with our family. We were lucky enough to snag the last spot that day at Carmel Dog Care. Patricia is an ANGEL. It was Bennys first time at doggie day care and she sent my husband updates and pics of Benny playing with other dogs and even took them on a beach field trip! We felt so comforted that he was in excellent care. We would not hesitate to leave our beloved Benny with her again. She is definitely their favourite dog carer of all time! So we are in Monterey for a convention with our dog. We needed a doggy daycare. Carmel Dog Care was recommended by Diggity Dog. I knew this was the right place when our picky dog did not flip out when she met Patricia. She then asked for the vaccination records. So she was thinking of all dogs safety. The non kennel type atmosphere allows our dog to relax and have fun. Upon our return she was happy to see us, and tired. She was cared for like she was part of a family. THE BEST!!! Patty has created a calm, loving, nurturing, playful environment for the dogs who are in her care. She, and her husband, Carmine, are people that exude kindness, patience, compassion, and fun. The first time I met Patty and Carmine, I felt immediately at home. My two Havanese dogs, who are very attached to me, and their dad, absolutely love visiting Patty and Carmine. Because we live in two places, and have had a hectic schedule this year with work, our girl and guy spent four weeks with Patty and Carmine. It was very difficult to have to do this. The only thing that made it ok, was knowing they were with Patty. Patty often sent pictures, and updates on what they were doing. My dogs have had a chance to socialize with all different breeds of dog. Also, the dogs in her care are all gentle, non-aggressive dogs. I am always very comfortable leaving Desi and Ernest with Patty and Carmine, as I know they will not only be loved, and very well cared for, but most importantly, safe. Patty is extremely conscientious, and would not hesitate to call if anything was not right with your dog. She's an artist and we loved seeing her paintings of dogs-especially the one on her door! Anyhoo, she and her husband watched Scooter Moneybags for two days (not nights) and we were very pleased-Scooter didn't seem to hesitate going back into their house on the 2nd day (which told me a lot)! Being a long time resident of Carmel, she gave us great restaurant recommendations! I would definitely recommend Patti for watching your pet!
