There are approximately 10 rooms (approx 5 or so on each wing). Each room is set up very thoughtfully, as if it were someones actual room or bathroom equipped with space for overnight visitors. No sterile hospital linens or decor here. Handmade quilts, handmade angels. Most rooms also have a private deck that overlooks the trees. The family room looks like a lodge (stone fireplace), couches, overlooks the woods. Very serene, very peaceful, just as it should be. There is a kitchen with a chef on board ready to prepare meals any time of day by request. The staff here do everything to make sure residents are treated with the utmost care and respect. But I am still reeling six months later by the way the nurses treated my family. I was laughed at when I asked if morphine and ativan would be a deadly combination. They couldn't explain the dosing to us. There was a chaplain who "doesn't do Catholic", and a social worker who was disrespectful as our stated needs that were agreed to upon seeking out hospice (we were self pay) were met first with astonishment and then condescension and admonition. The doctor was a little better. I would go here myself if I was ready to die within two days, but after my experience with a loved one there, I now fear my death would be hastened and my loved ones would be treated terribly as we were. I'll never get over how they treated us.

She saw that it wasn't a prison. She had the freedom to go where she wanted in her electric wheelchair. She spent her first night in the family room watching her favorite Red Sox on a big screen! Everyone was so nice here. Just stellar. They understood. It will take some time, but I think she'll be happy. This really is a great place. It's clean and large and there is so much to do!
