Carly is a wonderful voice teacher. My daughter has been taking lessons for almost two years, and she has learned and excelled so much in that time. Carly was very honest upfront and recommended that my daughter only start with half hour lessons, based on her age. Carly is exactly what I was looking for in a voice teacher: she really knows her stuff, I feel comfortable with her, and she never gives up on me. If one image doesn't click for me, she'll keep trying different imagery until I get that "ah ha" moment. I'm a longtime choral singer with no real training, so I started lessons with two specific goals: expanding my upper range and figuring out some recurring vocal strain issues. Carly has helped me with both (btw, I've changed my definition of a high note!), I'm singing music I previously wouldn't have even attempted, and I've already set new goals. In addition to working on art songs, I've brought in choral pieces that I needed help with, and we've started exploring different musical theatre styles. Carly has no bias for or against specific genres or styles, which I really appreciate. There's only a commitment to developing a healthy vocal technique.
