My friend recommended we eat here and it's very convenient for travelers. Location is right at the…read moremain bus hub and in Aarhus downtown, we rented a car to drive down from Billund and it is also walkable from many of the parking spaces downtown. They designed the inside to have multiple shipping containers used throughout and there is also nice natural lighting and plenty of seating throughout. There are also decently clean bathrooms here so its a good place for a pitstop. Because of the nature of this food hall you can try a variety of foods which is what we did. You order from wherever you want and you get a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Mormors Køkken: Traditional Danish food - just as your Danish grandmother would make them! Got the orange gravy, pork chunks, and sausage plate with rice. They offer "half portions" to sample but for us it was pretty much a full meal. Danyar Fish n Chips: Kids really wanted this and they had samples to try. Tasted OK, they are trying to do British style and the fries were good as well as the fish, just not as good as they are in the UK. Duck It: Had the duck boat which is pieces of duck in a fried potato shaped like a boat, this one was my wifes favorite.

Sorry not sorry! The Danish movie going experience is (no surprise) so amazing. The have beer and the biggest candy selection you've ever seen, and we were all loaded up on popcorn and sugar and Tom Cruise, but our daughter, vaguely traumatized from watching the film, still wanted to grab some dinner. Which brings us back to Aarhus Street Food! Like Reffen, it's got an amazing vibe. There's a large outdoor space for boozing and hanging out and then there are several vendors indoors with a bunch of picnic benches in the middle set up almost like a beer garden. Our daughter chose unwisely: the "maki" option from Shogun sushi, a selection of very sad and supermarket-looking sushi. No matter, we were happy to be there to soak up the atmosphere and energy. Plenty of the other food around us looked really good and the place is just worth a visit of its own accord. Four stars.

We didn't manage to spare room for dessert because we kept eating. Service was kind, attentive and quick. Funny enough my colleague and I were the only females that night. Today I went for a Sunday brunch. We decided to get one of each and then mix and share. All three dishes was amazing, especially the grits - a delicious savory dish. Today we didn't manage to get dessert either - we just couldn't stop eating. We had the to types of soft drinks (lemonade and ice tee) and our waitress suggested to mix them - glad we did! It was so refreshing and sweet. Definitely want to go again!

Throw in a side of corn-bacon and a passable corn bread, oh and how about a 7-hop Rogue IPA (one of the best IPAs in the world) and a selection of rye, bourbon and moonshine that will blow your mind. Did not see the Belizean hot sauce another yelper referenced (one of my fav hot sauces, but not for BBQ). Their home made South Carolina honey-mustard, KY vinegar sauce, and good ole KC style were delic. There was a homemade habanero-garlic sauce did not try but if you want the heat It looks like this would melt forks. Service and ambiance were good. Modern country music streaming in the background, waitress working hard. Chef visible in the open kitchen. Dimly lit but enough to read the menu. If you're craving American BBQ here in Aarhus, mosey on in.
