Why are you using AI for the drive thru? It makes special ordering very hard. It interrupts to tell customers info about things other than our order. It's ridiculous. This drive thru uses an AI which is extremely frustrating to use. After getting my order wrong and spending several minutes correcting it, I get my food and the order is actually wrong anyway. 12 bucks of dinner wasted because they screwed everything up. Because of the stupid AI drive thru service or maybe a worker making a mistake, I don't know. I'm just hungry and frustrated right now. I hate this Carl's Jr location. It's also located around a hub of illegal prostitution activity, just in case anybody in law enforcement sees this. read more

Horrible Customer Service: On last evening 09.10.2020 after working a split shift, I decided to order from this local restaurant. I waited in a long line of cars to place my order. I ordered a Dbl Cheeseburger with cheese and ketchup only, a western bacon cheese burger, onion rings and two drinks. When I got home there was no Dbl Cheese Burger just a single burger and the onion rings was less than half of a serving and cold, the western bacon cheeseburger was so very dry, (no sauce). I called to the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager, after a few minutes, I spoke with Adriana who stated she was the manager. I explained in a very calm and business manner that I was not satisfied with the order and told her my complaint. She asked me did I want to come back and get the items replaced, I replied that I was tired and would rather do it tomorrow. Then she stated that I had to have the burger (single) and the cold less than half serving of onion rings. I explained that my 7 year old grandson had already eaten the single burger. She said that there was nothing she could do. I would only get credit for the items that I returned. She proceeded to say that it was there policy in a tone that tip our conversation to a different level. At that point I changed my mind and said never mind, I would bring the entire order back and just give me a refund. I would be there shortly. When I arrived, I went to the door and did not block the drive thru window. A young lady was sitting in the lobby and another person was standing in the lobby, I knocked on the door. They both disappeared to the back. I knocked again on the door a bit harder this time. After several minutes she came to the door. She opened the door as if to invite me in, when I went to the side of her to go in, she pushed me in my chest and said don't come in here. (Mind you, I am 6' 1", a black man, hungry, tired and a bit upset - She is 4'5" if that, and not pretty) It seemed to me that she was looking for an altercation, but I purposely chose not to go there. I instead call the police myself and asked if they would come to assist in the matter. While I was calling, I heard in the background, "you want me to call the police now? She responded with something in Spanish to the person. I stepped out of the doorway and spoke with the dispatch, who asked if I would be waiting? I said but of course! When the police arrived they asked me what was the situation, I explained everything that had taken place, they asked what did I want? I told them that I just wanted my money back and I would go away, but I was not leaving without something. One of the officer's walked to the door and she opened the door and stuck her head out; he told her that the man only wants a refund, will you please do that, she told him that the policy is that they can not give a refund. He said to her if you are the manager you should be able to make a management decision and give him his money back. She said that she can't. He walked back to me and said she is not going to give you your money back and unfortunately I can't make them. I replied, alright, then have them make the order over and replace it correctly. He asked her if she would replace the order? She said that she could do that. She closed the door and went back in. While waiting with for the order, I spoke with the officer's who shared that this is about the 2nd time that they have been to this location for basically the same issue. I asked the officer's what could be done? Of course they could not offer any advice, but did say that social media may be your best bet. This is my first yelp review, and I only did this because this was senseless, it should not have taken this just to get an order right this order was $21.65, not a lot of money but it is mine! I do believe that this is not the first or second time, but others just have not bothered to pursue a complaint. I wasn't sure what the star deal is because I'm not a frequent customer but she didn't even care to explain. She immediately got annoyed and didn't hesitate to show it. Not sure how long this employee has been here but if I was a rude customer, I wouldn't be going to these lengths. Carl's Jr is my favorite fast food burger chain. That said, I work the graveyard shift and this morning I decided to get food on the way home for me and my wife; breakfast for her, and dinner for me. However, I was first met with rudeness from "Heather" who later informed me "Pull around and park out front, we have to let that meat cook!" I waited for ten-minutes after leaving the drive-thru (why have a drive-thru if you have to park out front?). My food was brought to me, and I should have gone through EVERYTHING because there are some real dolts working here who will rob you. I ordered a Double Western Burger, and two extra bbq sauces which I was charged 50 cents extra for, and they were only filled 25%. What you see pictured are my burger and receipt (a single, though I was charged for a double) and when I got home and saw; I called "Heather" back at 209-939-9531 seven times! Only once did they pick up; to immediately hang up on me! Sorry Carl, but your hiring practices have REALLY let me down. And "Heather" should find a job elsewhere. read more

Since my last review, I've been to this location about five other times. The more recent times, the dine-in area has been closed. They're short staffed. That's what the paper on the door says. Last week I spoke with the night manager. I didn't get her name but she told me the same people kept calling out and they keep putting those people on the schedule. I asked when the order screen over at the drive-thru menu would be fixed, she said she doesn't know because she doesn't even see or talk to the store manager that comes to help. I love Carl's Jr. It's my fave place to get burgers.. I'm not a "in-and-out" fan like everyone else.. wanna know what else I love about Carl's Jr.? Their ice cream shakes.. they are so yummy especially the cookies and cream shake.. but when you order a ice cream shake and they give you something with a water like consistency; that is seriously a big NO! This is the 3rd time I order a shake here and it's exactly the same, watery consistency and I hate it! At first I thought, well it's new.. I'll give them a chance. After I thought, well it was pretty late and they only had enough for 4 ice cream shakes so they tried to make it work. Now the 3rd time? No, something's not right here.. please learn to make a real ice cream shake! Now I'll never buy one from here and I'll have to continue going to the Hammer Lane one where the consistency is actually thick and I could feel the ice cream in my mouth.. not water melted like shake! When you go inside you will see a bucket of water underneath the preparation area where they make the Hamburgers. They use a WET rag out of that bucket to wipe the counter off then make your hamburger right on top of the wet surface witout putting the paper down first.
