Wrong order I ordered a chicken grilled burrito and that's what the receipt indicates. It's been a year or two since I had a beef taco salad from Carl's Jr, I was surprised to see that they had one in San Carlos. I placed my order at the drive thru. For one beef taco salad the total came to $10.61 so I gave the cashier eleven dollars even. I knew something wasn't right when the cashier gave me back 78 cents change? Of which I only kept 39 cents and gave him back the rest. So I pulled around and parked inside the parking lot and was just about to dig . This is when I noticed both the lettuce and the guacamole were brown! The ground beef tasted strange also. So no taco salad for me today. I took it back and they refunded my money. read more

Been here a couple of times. Tried there beyond burger. It taste somewhere between a garden burger and a famous star. Quite expensive, even for the sandwich by itself. You get 2 patties for only $6.99 at safeway. I can say there organic hamburger is pretty good. read more

One of the worst Jr's I had been to. The parking lot are substandard, the service of this one lady taking the money was rude and the Green Burrito; Bean and Cheese was undersized. Came in because I hadn't had a Bean and Cheese for awhile. So I came in with a $100 and was given a dirty look because all I wanted was a $1.89 burrito. 5 stars because the service is great here and the food is a higher end of deliciousness over other fast food joints. Carls Jr. has the best fried zucchini and criss cut fries. They are flavorful and greasy enough to survive reheating. Their burgers are a little pricer than other places but well worth it. They are now in direct war with Mc Donalds and featuring a Big Carl for 2.50... it's a double cheeseburger with yummy sauce, cheese and the lettuce fixings. It's a good size for the price. I really like that their burgers are as sloppy as shown in the commercials. Carl's is know for this so expect a mess. They wrap their burger to prevent spillage. However, being messy can be fun at times... unlock your inner child and go ALL OUT why don't you. Ok, so the food is just your standard fair, I must agree. The 6$ burgers are not to my liking because the guac and other addings are just off a bit. But the selection of new menu items is decent and the fact that this place has a green burrito in it is cool because then your pick friends can get a damn taco instead of a burger. BUT, this place rocks for one reason. There is this dude who works there who is so awesome. Hes like the please, thank you, have a nice day MACHINE! He is super nice, reliable, never messes up orders, and I had such a nice experience with him being my drive thru guy that I had to compliment his efforts. He should not be in the fast food service. I'm not usually a fast food fan. Just like everyone, I have a cheat day every once and a while. The last 3 times I have been here, they have screwed our order up to the point where I couldn't even eat it. I have a severe food allergy to cheese. I ordered a few tacos (no cheese) and some taquitos (no cheese). Got home and opened up the food to find out everything was covered in cheese. I call Carl's Jr. and told them what had happened. The guy who answered was very nice and told me he would have no problem re making my order. Unfortunately I had already driven all the way home, so I offered to come the next day and he said ok. He even offered to make one of the orders a combo for free! Which was nice, considering I did not ask for that. When I went in to pick up the order, the lady who helped me had a huge attitude. She was refusing to give me the combo and rolled her eyes at the fact I asked for no cheese. She finally came around and did what was asked after I asked to speak to the owner of the establishment. I am very disappointed that these guys can't just get an order correct without having some sort of issues or an attitude problem. This is probably the best fast food experience on the peninsula. I work live near 2 different Carl's and I drive about a mile extra for this location. The manager is a great customer service guy without ever being pushy. He seems to remember every regular customer's name, as well as what their preferred order is. He is genuinely enthusiastic about the Carl's menu and doesn't mind giving you more info or helping you decide. Still, he doesn't waste time, when it gets busy he is helping out all over the place to make sure everyone gets their food. His employees are equally pleasant. There is an additional bonus, this location is attached to a Green Burrito. I don't care for the Green Burrito items (plenty of cheap Mexican in RWC) but there is a full condiments bar. I can turn a crispy chicken sandwich into a jalapeno salsa masterpiece, if I feel like it. The guys at Carl's corporate should hear this story: today a new customer came in, she asked whether the Green Burrito standard burrito was good, but she sounded skeptical. The manager described it to her and guaranteed it would be tasty. After he took the order, he told the cook (in Spanish so the customer wouldn't understand) to make it "extra pretty." It's alright here. what I don't like is how I get hassled when asking for water for my drink with a meal. They insist I get soda. Otherwise I have to get bottled water. You can't fill a large cup with water? It has to be Soda? What a joke. That saves you money people. I love it. I order A meal but can't get a large water. Its gotta be a soda or bottled water. It's also highly irritating yoir employees asking me before I order if I want a specific "booga". I've read the other reviews and I am glad to hear everyone has had a good experience, however I did NOT The manager is nice, but he did something that I didn't really care for. I asked for a $6 burger, and said I'd be eating it there, but he packed it to go, and I didn't make a fuss, but when I came out, and went to eat the burger, I noticed it was very dry and was probably made the day before!
