They are open and I'm ordering hours before closing time and I can't read the menu.
Sami S.

It's almost 3 hours until closing time, and all the outside lights are off. That included the drive through lights. Obviously, I know they are still open. So, I ordered my multiple items that I had memorized from the menu. Otherwise, I would have ordered nothing, since I couldn't see the menu. I almost decided to never dine back here after sunset again. The only thing that stopped me, a regular Carl's Jr customer, from going next door to the other restaurant from now on is the cashier in the drive through window being so professional and so kind to me. She completely changed my mood and kept me as a loyal customer. The food was good, thankfully. I'm happy for whoever was on grill tonight. The milkshake the cashier made was very good, too. And, she was great at asking me exactly how I wanted everything or anything extra in a quick and kind way. I wouldn't be surprised if she makes it into management one day. Well done to whoever hired her. Seriously. Smart job on which people you hire. They are the only reason I didn't choose to take my consistent business elsewhere. I hope you get a bonus or something from the company. You know how to run and build a store. They should be thankful for you.

Why wear a mask at all?
Jizzays P.

Ridiculously slow. Got to the speaker in the drive-through and was told to wait. Literally over five minutes go by and I spoke up and he says go ahead. Get to the window and the little high school dropout wannbe has his mask around his chin and mouth but not his nose. 10 minutes later he brings me my food and just hands it through the window without saying a word. There was only one car in the drive-through when I got there and not a single customer inside. And the food was not hot when I got it. No excuse. Horrible. Will never go back there. Fire that little loser running the drive-thru.

All the bad reviews are true! I now know why this place never has any cars in the drive thru. This place is garbage.

Workers were extremely rude and forgot an item from my order. Seemed upset at the fact I arrived to order food AT A FOOD ESTABLISHMENT.

Maple Sage Fried Chicken. My favorite! The chicken is uniquely textured and the sweet sage flavor really makes it stand out. As a person who is actually not a big breakfast food fan, I think this dish has the right balance of breakfast hashbrowns, toast, and eggs mixed with "regular food," the chicken. 2. The strawberries and cream stuffed French toast was pretty good. One of my daughters had this dish and enjoyed it. 3. The house pancakes. My wife thought she has had much better classic pancakes at Orphan and Sunnyside, but they were decent. Probably would not get again. Great service as always. Thanks, guys, for a great start to a day of farmers market venturing (right next door).

They have a decent menu and I love how many dishes they have for brunch. Service has always been great, I've never had a bad experience. There's a huge outdoor seating and it's great for big groups. Good usually comes out promptly so I've never had to wait too long even when it's busy. Pros: the portions are huge, I can easily share with another person and still have leftovers. I love their pancakes and French toast. Their lunch and dinner options are great too. Cons: parking can be hard to find (street parking). There's also parking garages near by.

The server said the chicken fried steak was really good, so that was my choice. I thought that I would also enjoy the pork sausage gravy served on top of it since I love biscuit and gravy. I was quite disappointed in my choice because the steak as very tough, and dry, like it was not made in-house but probably frozen, and deep fried in house. The generous serving of gravy on top was lacking any flavor and was on the pasty side, so it didn't help the steak in any way. My toast was cold, which was not too much an issue, but the hardness of the toast was like day old left over toast. I told the server the steak was pretty tough but he chose to ignore my comment twice. I did like the potatoes, which were nice and crispy, but if anything, would've like a fresher piece of toast. One of our guest gave me her butter and that did not spread well on the hard toast. I took the steak home, and heated it a little because I was still hungry, but after one bite, I just tossed it. Just wasn't good. The guest next to me did order the omelette, and her omelette did look very good. I was just unhappy with my meal, for the price, which would've been worth it, if it were good.

Really fun little restaurant that really captures that homey Southern charm…read more We were seated right away, and the host was really nice and fun, offering his recommendations without us even having to ask. Our waitress came over shortly after. I see a lot of mixed reviews about the service, and I think some staff members are friendlier and more outgoing than others, but even the less friendly servers were still attentive, helpful, and quick. I think it just depends on who you get and whether you value a really friendly interaction or care more about the food and basic service. We tried a cappuccino since the host said they make all their coffee in-house, and it was pretty good, especially coming from someone who doesn't drink coffee. We chose the fried green tomatoes as our starter, and they were delicious. I'd never had them before but had always heard how iconic of a Southern dish they are. They were really well balanced with the aioli and feta, and the tomatoes themselves were juicy and fresh. I had to go with the shrimp po' boy, which was also really good. The shrimp were pretty big and tasted fresh, complemented well by the really light, airy, buttery bread and fresh vegetables inside. The fries were also a plus! I enjoyed everything I ordered and would definitely come back to try some other things. I will say it was a bit pricey for brunch for two people, with the bill coming out to around $80 with tip. I guess that's just the day and age we live in now, though. I thought the portions were decently sized. Not as huge as your typical diner portions, but still large enough that you could probably expect some leftovers.

The beignets reminded us of Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. Our table staff was also excellent, attentive, and friendly. Unfortunately, our experience got off to a disappointing start. While we were standing closest to the greeter's desk, the gentleman seating guests seemed to overlook us and asked another couple if they were next in line. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling overlooked and uncomfortable. It was an unfortunate moment that took away from an otherwise enjoyable brunch. Sadly, this first impression may make us think twice about returning.
